I thought the shark was the best of the newest ones. I didn't know what to pick for my next one. I was kinda looking at butterfly bruise, but with the butterfly dropper, I can already mimic that one, so I thought I should go for something else. I like Blistered Hearts, too, but again I have items that can already mimic it. In the end, I have no idea what I have. I went for the free option, talked to someone I know who needs the bites and let them bite me. Who knows who else may have bitten me, so no telling what virus I ended up with. We'll see :D

I've just started working on my third. I have Bubble Jelly (mushrooms) and Carchari (shark), both new ones and of course my old Boobitis. As I said above, I have no idea what I'm in for, but was bitten 4-5 times by a lovebug. If no one else bit me, or at least bit me less than that, I'll probably end up with lovebug, but who knows since others have said there are glitches.

I'm unaffected by the EXP snafu, but it still royally pisses me off that they are doing that. Its just so typical of them to wave a wand and suddenly all your hard work is gone. As far as I can figure the only reason to get rid of the EXP is so that people can't hit the new cap instantly. Well why not? What is wrong with hitting the new cap immediately? Its not like the same thing won't happen all over again - with or without the EXP the new cap will get hit very soon. Its not like they will get rid of the new cap anytime soon, so people will still end up stalled for years. The only thing it accomplishes is to make people hurt and angry. To invalidate work they've already put in. Maybe that's the point - the unstated reasoning, to drive away all the loyal people who have been on site for years because we have too many advantages over people who join today.

It really is starting to feel that way. Let's take away scores you have worked YEARS for and stats you have worked YEARS for and let's seem we will come up with something else to take away next week!

Why don't they just limit the amount of exp we can spend per day or week or whatever time frame they want?

You take your completed map back to Blake. He doesn't seem interested in what you have found. He takes out 500,000 sP that he uses to pay you for your map. He also gives you access to the Treasure Room where you can choose an item that has been found in the crypts recently.

I pretty much gave up on battle after being burned buying a super expensive weapon that got gutted shortly thereafter. If they want people to battle they need to fix the system properly. Truth is battling can be ridiculously boring. The solution is not capping pets. Its not changing the way battling works every few months. And its definitely not making people feel robbed.

They need a system simple enough that casual battlers can get into it without feeling out of their depth or frustrated, but with enough complexity to interest seasoned battlers. This can be done, but its pretty obvious that Subeta staff have no idea how to go about it. One way is to vary the rewards/payoff based on how well the battle goes. This way, a casual battler can beat an opponent through brute force and they get a modest reward. But a seasoned battler who understands the system can use skill, cunning, weapons, scrolls and how they've developed their pet stats to trounce the same opponent and get a better reward. Another way is to make the opponents pretty generic, but create complexity through a pet vs. pet arena. There are probably a million other ways to do it, but I've never been into battling (in any system) so I'm limited in my knowledge.

But they seem to be stuck on adding complexity by making opponents unbeatable (things like stat caps, gutting weapons, placing limits and such). This just causes frustration. I'm not going to sit here and hit a button repeatedly until I get a "lucky" outcome to beat an opponent. I want to be able to learn the system, to use strategy to get a better outcome, so that while luck might help me, I'm not dependent on it.

I managed to NOT think about battling at all today. I got a pedicure (my first ever!), a hair cut and some easter flavored dye in bits and pieces of it (magenta!) and had lunch and did some shopping. All with a friend. The pedicure was a really early birthday gift. Now I am back and trying not to think about it!

Iread through the battle forum this morning, the posts that were made overnight. Still not many people talking about it. People just passing over any comments made about it. Not really sure I want to go look and see if there was any more attention paid to it throughout the day. :/

You've had a great day, don't even bother. The only ones who might have something to say have said their piece. There's only a hand-ful of us who were/are capped and have exp building up and being one of them, I've been here before. It's not worth it. They pretended to listen back then, they're most likely going to pretend to listen to us now. None of it matters, they've got this in the works, they're going to do what they want to do.

There are other things to do on Subeta beside battling so fuck 'em. We've got strong enough pets to beat the big guys, we can get the goodies they drop. Whatever they're screwing up this time doesnt matter as long as we can get the 5 or 10 wins needed to get the goods.

Sorry, but I'm mid infection and as far as I know I can't stop. But getting the shark is both cheap (10K) and easy and no need for biting. Just go to the VIP, check the list at the bottom and choose chachari (I think), and wait a few hours for it to start.

It has 6 or 8 stages. Definitely not 4. Only the drink/vial viruses are 4. And I'm at stage 4 of my current one. I'm still hoping to get one last virus in but I don't know if it will be possible. Shark is my next choice. We'll see. :)
