Oh, i hate HOAs! I'd never be happy living somewhere with all those silly rules. I find them so unnecessary. Personally, i really don't mind if someone parks a boat in their yard or if they want to paint their house purple with neon green trim and use old toilets for porch planters, that's their own business, and i wouldn't want anyone else sticking their nose into what i do on my property either. :P

A 100-pound Chocolate Lab...like i said, i knew someone else who had Labs and goats and it didn't end well (the offending dogs were siblings and i ended up adopting one of them but they insisted on putting the other one down because they said he's the one who was the most aggressive). :( They might get along great, but then again, they might not, so i've always just hesitated to adopt a goat. Because if it doesn't work out, then i have a goat to rehome, and there isn't a huge demand for goats in my area lol.

Finally, my HA loads! Takes forever lol. I've lived in on HOA and hated it! I am headed to bed, so chat with ya later, I can't stay up anymore....boohiss work lol.

My dad's the president of his HOA so i get to hear about annoying HOA things all the time, but for some reason he doesn't seem to agree with me that HOAs suck lol. Good night! (and awesome HA too!) :)

Sister, when I started working there 4 years ago we rocked, we took pride in the care we provided, our residents were clean, neat and dressed like they were going to meet the Queen Mum and maybe 2 years ago things changed. I applied for a Management position (Director of Marketing and Family Resources) if they offer it I'm not sure I'd accept since it would totally strip me of integrity

YAY for labs! My Baby is a black lab with those gorgeous chocolate lab eyes, the only way I can see an incident lie the one you described is maybe it started out as play, I mean I've heard of labs mauling a chicken Try it with your bud on leash at a heel and see how she reacts

Labs are awesome! My first one, the one involved in the goat incident, was a Black Lab (they said she was mixed with something else but she looked like a regular Lab) and she was nothing but a gentle giant when i had her. Maybe just because there were no goats at my house though, i dunno lol. Anyway yeah, that's what i'm going to have to do with Zelda if i do end up with a goat here, just be cautious until i know how she'll react. I would certainly never leave her alone with it anyway, and i think the problem those other people had was that the dogs and the goats roamed freely and unsupervised around their property. If it just plain doesn't work out, well then my friend will have to keep the goat, since she's the one who decided to get it anyway. :P

I don't subscribe to the killer dog breed theories at all, like humans, dogs are a product of nurture vs nature, my older sister found her pitbull at the side of a highway when Zoey was a few weeks old and yes she could be stubborn and if you were a cat she may kill you but she was the most lovingest, kissingest dog you'd ever met. I do wonder what your girl's littermate was besides lab, though. LO Cesar Milan would be proud

I agree with you there, and i wouldn't refuse to get a pitbull, i'm sure they can be great dogs. I actually intended to get another mutt from the shelter (like my last dog before Zelda) and i wouldn't rule out any breed or mix, but my dad found Zelda being given away on Craigslist and he fell in love with her right away because she reminded him of the dog he had as a kid, so he took me to meet her, and i just couldn't NOT take her home with me. :) As for the other Labs, they said they were part GSD and i don't know but she didn't look it at all. shrug

That's my plan now that I'm getting paychecks again. I got used to them once a week and now i have to wait every other week.....so many things to get used to again!

Some of the best dogs I've known have been mutts, they tend to be more balanced, I think than a papered dog who may be the product of over-breeding (puppy mills are really popular out here). I'm fond of pits, but I'd be reluctant to get one if neighbors had small kids or cats

I agree, and i think mixed breeds tend to be healthier too, they're less prone to certain breed-specific diseases.
