Yep! It's the character's real birthday. With my other pets, I never really cared before, so their creation date doesn't match their actual birthday. I don't know why I suddenly care to make them match haha

For a pre-existing character I think it's a nice touch to have the pet created on the character's birthday. :) But yeah, since you can easily hide the creation date on their profiles it's not a huge deal.

Only two of my pets have birthdays that matter. And that's because they're twins and I wanted them born on each their side of new years. xD

Oh that's unique O: So one character was born on the last day of December, right before the new year, and then the second twin came out on New year?

Yup, that's basically it. :) Turn of the century too actually. 1899/1900. All because my weird sense of humor thought it'd be fun to have the firstborn be really old-fashioned so the secondborn could tease him and say stuff like 'you really are from a different century'. Yup, I'm apparently weird lke that. :P

That sounds like a good plan. I wish I could do it like that. x) I am usually in a rush to get art so I can make a profile and then the pet will be basically done and I just can't get the story done. So I think your way of doing it is really good.

Oh, glacier popoko actually fits Sub's character really well. :D And the potion isn't too expensive.

Planning to follow this series of writing prompts for world building this month in hopes of getting a more solid background for one of my characters. It's most likely geared towards novelists and a bit much for a small OC but I think it will really help me. ^^

peeks in Hello? Hello! I've seen this thread a thousand times, I knew what it was about, but um, I'm kind of shy? and bad at keeping up with things socially, but this group is really kind of... me in a nutshell. I'm the laziest person on the planet, so I should really make some kind of attempt at something.

Eight of my fourteen pets are characters in finished novels. I wrote entire novels about them, but I can't be arsed to plop down some little stories for their profiles.

Two of my pets are fanpets. I've written fanfiction about them before. But I can't seem to do it for Subeta. Roderich is the most complete; I've started stories about him (with subeta in mind) at least four times but my inspiration fizzles out after not too long.

Nanairo is my battle pet, I want a human design for him so I can like, do something for him, but that requires thinking with my brain.

Currently working on Andera's TC. I realized he likes tea. gasp Ash is my newest baby... I don't even know WHAT to do for his treasure. He's just like... a dude. There's not that much that's remarkable about him. Anything that is remarkable is because of his connection to Saya.

Did I ramble too much? I tend to ramble. ._.

My siblings chose not to discriminate against the types of books they feasted on. I, however, took my time choosing my next meal. I deliberately took tiny nibbles of various books, sampling each page till I found something appetizing. I preferred my culinary literature to be of the seafaring variety, especially those with a pirate flare. There was just something divine about the gritty, salty flavouring those pages embodied. Such deliciousness just for me!

I was oblivious to the passage of time and the destruction my insatiable appetite caused. In a lazy eye blink, my siblings and I grew plump on the irreplaceable books that nourished our metamorphosing bodies. I bore a special place amongst my beloved nautical pages, spinning a cocoon of silken threads about my body.

A sound sleep claimed my mind and I dreamed of pirate ships made of paper mache and cloth sails with jumbled words splashed across the fabric, splashing across chartreuse seas. I paid little heed to my transformation, preferring to indulge in my whimsical fantasies until it was too late. And so I stayed, burrowed deeply in the only book I had ever loved, with nothing but eternity and my infinite imagination to keep me company.

Opinions anyone? :)

I finally got Sub into a Glacier Popoko! I'm super stoked, i don't get on subeta as much as I'd like to recently, and I'm so happy I finally managed to turn him. -cheers- Now I can work on a little story for Pheiron. Once his story is complete, it's on to the TC's. -jig- Everything I want for them is so expensive. :D -weeps-

What is the best venue for getting Art/Overlays for a pet? I've never actually gotten art of a character in any site before.

Writing often is. Said by the person who only finishes one pet about every two years. ;)

I hope so too. I'm a bit behind already. Partly because I didn't look them up until the 3rd and they started on the 1st. But I'm definitely getting into things about the world that I hadn't thought of or questioned before. :D

If you want to buy art on subeta the Art Market forum would be the place to go. For overlays it's a bit more confusing. If you want a complete redraw of your pet, it's still the art market. If the overlay you want is just going to be edits of the subeta pet art you'll have to go the the pet profiles subforum of the graphics market.
