That's a good idea, but I just don't know how to choose ;-; I'm so close to being done with a couple of them like Dr. Seuss and Meowth, but there are others I don't even have ideas for hahaha

I'll get started on someone and then I'm like "Well... I really need to work on my profile since they will see that before my pet... but then I also really need to get some overlays done so that will show up on my profile... but I'm not sure what the character design is to make the overlay...."

lol I would have been lazy too but they added an achievement prize for 4k that I needed for a TC and I want 5k's achievement prize for my wardrobe... I thought about TCs but my only pet that could have used it, in his story he specializes only in smaller baked goods like cupcakes, cake pops etc.

I feel like I'll slow down a lot after I get this item..

ahhh i finally finished something!! just got done with the lineart for ruu's overlay after like a month omg i'm not 100% sold on the gun and might tweak the tail a little as well but god i just want to start coloring lol

my ipad seriously has about 10 files called '[character] draft' on pages |D i switched to word now because onedrive is a gift from above but still, so many drafts haha

oh man overlays right now i'm working on my first and it's so fun i kinda want to make overlays for like, half my pets now haha

i don't even care about the items i just want the bragging rights lmao but everything i know i need is expensive and i'm too lazy to thoroughly check through the cheap stuff to see what i still need, so |D

Hm...I'm not sure I'm considering myself lazy but more just dejected by the errors. I think about the pets I've finished and the go...huh, I put a lot of time and effort and money into these pets, do I keep wanting to do that? I have at least 2 profiles that are ready to be coded, and two other stories already written. I just need to put the pieces together :(

Honestly, I think a big part of my problem is I like to do everything. I do all my own art, profiles, coding, writing, TCs, etc. If I were t hire other people to do it, I would get more of it finished.

But I also LIKE doing all those things ;-; so it's hard for me to buy it from someone.

Oh man yea I remember how little subeta stuff I got done during uni. But ya I'm game! The profile line art is super cute! 8D

My problem is I'll draw an idea forget about the idea for months then design the character again (completely different from before) and then after like... 4-5 times of this I'll realize I have like 5 different versions of the same character. It's happened to Nahoa, Zaphik, Krikkit and a few others. Pffff I'm working on trying to hash out just one idea per design. I just designed Elinwyr to find I had an old sketch with a completely different concept for her. It turns out it was better suited to a pet I got after Elinwyr so that design ended up the basis for Barden instead lol

I know that feeling! I want to do the same for my pets. I think my problem is is I'm not sure how to code for subeta profiles or anything since I'm used to having control over both the CSS and the html. SUbeta profiles are a whole other monster and I've made a few inquiries on trying to figure out profiles but it's still a leap for me heh. I think I need to just start with like a free profile base and mess around with that till it works. I'm just so used to having dreamweaver which allows me to code and see the effect sidebyside that having weirdness with constant refreshing and things is just foreign to me lol.

Just gotta get more pets :P

I kinda did things backwards this time, i had an idea for a story, so i wrote the story, now i have to try to figure out what pet color/species combo to pair with it, blahhh

- Nice! Sometimes I think going that route is the best way to not be lazy. You have the hard part down...now to do all the other stuff. Though picking a minion can be agonizing!

I usually dont have too much of an issue with the minions. I like so many pets but i try to keep the actual amount i have down because they are so much work to get spotlight ready. And i cant just have a blank pet

yeeeeeep. v It sadly doesn't help with the motivation to do stuff for pet profiles/art/stuff only because I often want to work on them as a group and as I add on the pile to need to work on just groooowwwsss. >>

But I am beyond glad there are ways to get more pets (I always want more pets. more pets forever. foreeeevvveeerrr.) if there weren't I honestly don't know that I'd still be on subeta. Like I feel like for me there wouldn't be enough to work towards to keep me interested long term? Like I am always half on a goal for the next pet slot.

Also does anyone else's characters have minds of their own? And they'll just randomly interject their opinion on something? I was working on designing one character and their boyfriend popped up like 'no boyfriend of mine would have a full face tattoo. Let's be real here Kirin'.

Hi. I'm new to this thread, but this sounds like the place for me to be.

Tons of pets? Got 'em. Tons of story ideas? Oh yes. Middling art and coding skills? Eh, sure.

Any proof that these things exist? Hardly any at all. XD

I recently got a new phablet that allows me to draw more accurately than with a regular smartphone stylus, so I've been getting a bit better about drawing my pets.

Sadly, my perfectionism prevents me from ever having things the way I would like. Anyone else got this problem?

that's an impressive amount of pets! I try to keep my number low-ish just so they're manageable for me. Actually right now, I kind of have three categories: my older pets who have read a lot, my newer pets who are not on the same reading and training scheme so I don't drive perfectionist-me crazy, and then the few here and there that I pick up from the pound just for a little while to see if they'll work out. Have you created most of your pets, or adopted them, or a good mixture of both?
