- What are you guys doing with your new pet slot? I'm at a loss...I have no idea what I want to make, and I have zero ideas for names.

I adopted a pet from the pound his name is Rhedynfre. I turned him into a Twilight Kumos for the moment. He came with a description about his name. I hope that the antelphore gets a redraw in the near future as the name goes perfectly with one, but I don't care for them at the moment.

I've been going nuts with pet slots and pet changes lately. I think the pet I technically made with the snowman pet slot was Jair? which is a pet that I didn't even intend to make, but I saw the name was untaken and I couldn't resist. He's actually a pretty important character, so I don't regret it.

Lots of people are adopting pets out lately, have you looked in the adoption forums?

Jair is a character from the same story as my other pet Eyvi (who got renamed this week from his original name of Eyvindr) and Emmerich (who I also made this week... see what I mean about going crazy?). I'm pretty sure the last time I checked the name it was taken, so I sort of put him out of my mind as a pet. But Eyvi, Emmerich and Jair sort of have a love triangle thing going on, and Jair is actually pretty important to the story, so when I saw it I pounced on it.

I just don't really care about pet slots. :-/ Maybe there will be an achievement some day for having lots of available pet slots, but not actually using them. haha.

I didn't participate. No extra pet slot for me.

Okay newbie time... Can someone explain all this kissing/zombie business? I'm so lost!

You get candy hearts whenever you kiss people, or when people kiss you. You turn in the candy hearts at the L'Amour Parlour to buy stuff there.

Zombie stuff...somebody else is going to have to fill in some details, but you get infected, and your HA will start to look pretty gross. Your infection processes through several stages, and once you reach the end stage you have a new skin (of the infection) for your HA in your wardrobe. You can choose to get infected by old diseases (from previous years) or new ones. I think you have to be infected to access the Zombie Den (?) but that's where you buy all the zombie stuff, with sP.

I can explain the kissing part, at least. Basically you exchange kisses (just click the Kiss link below people's avatar in the forums, also some people provide a link on their profile) for Candy Hearts, which you then turn into Louis to use as currency in his shop. There are several achievements related to kissing as well (kissing various body parts, getting kisses from NPCs, etc).

Also, you'll find flowers as floating items as you browse the site. Turn those in at the Survivor Memorial, there's achievements associated with that as well.

During Survival the Underground is open to everyone and not just zombies (at least I'm pretty sure it's closed to non-zombies the rest of the year... that might have changed and I didn't know it), but that's really all I know about the zombie aspect, I'm not interested in zombie stuff at all (though Skitters has some great stuff in his shop).

Yeah, I'm not a big zombie person but maybe I'll participate just b/c why not. I don't want my avatar looking all gross though! I'm assuming you can get rid of it (take the skin off?) once it's over?
