I don't think you got my point. Effort = Prizes. Why would people be offended by what I said? Hard working people do deserve the prizes, but those who just joined do not deserve 18 expensive almost exclusive items. I would appreciate if you could quote the part where I say band members or hard working supporters don't deserve prizes.
I'm not talking about what you said specifically! I do agree that effort = prizes would be good!! That would be ideal!!! But at this point, when the prizes were already distruibuted this is something that I don't think is still fixable. That's all I said. Please keep this idea in the suggestions for next time, its a good one. WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT SPECIFICALLY WAS, the 'don't deserve' part is unnecesary!!! Ok?? You were not the only person who said this so I'm addressing it in general, nothing against you. It wasn't even said "the horns and roses supporters WHO DIDN'T SCORE didn't deserve it", what was said was simply "the horns and roses supporters didn't deserve it" point blank, period. And it sounds shitty.
Yes, I know it's too late to do anything. Although achievements and forum titles would be good. I think all the people that said that was talking about those who did nothing in exchange for everything and not generalizing H&R supporters. Chill.
I know they probably were. This is why I pointed it out. That these people should watch their mouths for they were being unintentionally offensive and unnecessary. That's all. It's fine.
I'm sorry you and your band didn't receive first place (a late congrats on your runner-up title by the way), but I think you should consider your words before you post them.
Your comments were not only rude, but some were just uncalled for. If by any chance you found their words rude, it's only because they were responding to your own negativity, which attacked them personally.
In ruling the band supporters off as having done absolutely nothing but click a simple button, you've not only insulted the other finalist groups and their supporters, but you've also thrown your own under the bus without even a second glance. Are you really going to say that supporters did less work than the band itself when it's working TOGETHER that got groups as far as they did? Have a bit more respect for your band and supporters.
I do find myself agreeing to some degree about prize distribution. Those who made finalists, the genre winners, and the Top 3 scorers should have gotten more than they did. and a few other made some amazing suggestions that we can still convey to staff, so can we work together to make something work?
I never once attacked the members of HnR, but I was called a "sore loser" flat out. That was a personal attack, to which I responded equally rude. I don't recall speaking down to any other person I pinged apart from her.
Also, I said "all they had to do was push the support button". No where did I say that's what they did. The fact that any person who "supported" HnR and submitted a score (even if it was 50 points) got 18+ prizes, whereas the highest scorer in the entire BotB didn't even get that much? It seems the entire prize distribution was based on "if you supported the winning band, you get all the things, but if you made a band, period, you're SOL". I don't know any competition ever where the supporters win things like that. You don't see the voters from American Idol or the Voice getting free stuff... Yet they rewarded the supporters more than the actual participants. It doesn't make any sense.
"But thanks to people like you, we might not ever have this event again." "People like me" --> Please refer to any band participant who got shafted out of rewards or people who thought the entire event was shit (aka the feedback thread)
I'll clarify that what I meant by "people like you" was those who are spreading negativity, which doesn't really solve anything by doing so.
Instead of complaining and fighting, we should be working together to fix the problem with the prize distribution.
I'll apologize for paraphrasing your words if in any way they did not reflect what you meant (I myself don't like when it happens to me and yet I still did so to you).
I stand by my opinion, however, that it was a combined effort since both bands and supporters are considered participants of the Battle of the Bands event.
Negativity is going to make the staff realize how pissed everyone other than HnR members and supporters are about this entire situation. I already posted on the suggestion thread, so I think I did my part, what about you?
I think I'm going to start voting and then calling in to The Voice and asking where my prizes and recording deals are...
"Negativity is going to make the staff realize how pissed everyone other than HnR members and supporters are about this entire situation. " Not this kind of negativity; there are ways to express things without having to say offensive or unnecessary things. Also, please don't assume that HNR and its supporters are not upset with how prize distribution went.
"I think I'm going to start voting and then calling in to The Voice and asking where my prizes and recording deals are..." You and I both know that competitions on Subeta are not the ones we see in real life.
"You and I both know that competitions on Subeta are not the ones we see in real life." Thank god for that. Can you imagine? The contest would start five days late, and people would be in complete darkness seeing the words "502 ERROR" in neon lights.
The sticker is indeed, the highest awarded.

Hello, I supported Horns and Roses, but didn't receive the "Horns And Roses Lime Eye Compact". Anyone know why? Thanks.
I kind of hated this event, sadly. Just my opinion of it, I thought it sucked massive whale willy in comparison to most of the other events I've been involved in on here.
That was mainly because a) I felt as though the experience was really distant. Usually you have things to engage in, like plots, and you sometimes have to earn prize items through actually manually clicking every few minutes -> if you want the most expensive thing, you have to really dedicate and engage. I didn't like this one, because this just involved you clicking 'support' and then playing a game once per day.
Which leads me onto b) in addition to this being far less engaging, effort did not positively correlate with reward. Regardless of how much or how little you played the game, you got good prizes as long as you clicked the right support button. The system operated in a way that indiscriminately rewarded all of the following: 1) a person who supported a winner because they liked them, and played the game, or 2) a person who supported a winner cause they liked them, but didn't play the game, 3) a person who supported because everyone else did, and did play the game, 4) a person who supported because everyone else did, and didn't play the game. Obviously, the last set of people (4) may be considered to have not 'earned' their prizes, because they neither liked nor supported their band. It follows, logically, that this will piss off every other person who did not support a winner to varying extents, based on their own participation levels and how much they liked their prize/s. I'll use myself as an example. I am full of sadness and regret because I chose to support the band I thought was awesome, and I played the game (didn't like that either x'D) to support them = so I participated as much as was possible. I was not a high scorer, so I did not expect the coolest prizes based on a superhuman ability to play the game hehe. However, the prizes I /did/ receive were disappointing to me. They were disappointing because they did not measure up to the level of effort I perceived myself to have put into supporting the band I liked. Therefore, I am downright jealous of the '#4' people out there, who got all of the absolutely coolest prizes (the HnR ones) despite putting in less effort than myself, while I got prizes I personally thought were already kind of pooey enough without me comparing them to the best available. I am not annoyed with those people themselves, I'm just openly envious of their material gain compared to my loss of effort. I AM annoyed that this event worked this way. It would be like entering a marathon, struggling your arse off the whole way there, finally getting to the finish line and feeling so proud of yourself just for managing to run it, only for the medal for effort to be given to some guy window-shopping in an adjacent street because he was loosely acquainted to the person who won - while you received a piece of loo roll with your name hastily-scribbled and spelled incorrectly upon it. It would be confusing, and frustrating, because you know you put the effort in; you thought your achievement was worth more than a rubbishy piece of toilet paper, and you feel you achieved more than the guy who just happened to know the right people and didn't participate as much as you. So you're sad, disappointed, and jealous that he got a prize worth more than yours/ closer to your estimations of what you deserved.
I WISH I had been a 4) person - waited, then supported HnR just to get prizes (rather than going for the band I liked most personally). Honestly, I regret my actions. I know I'm an oddball with weird tastes, so logically I should have picked what other people like, because I would have been given better prizes for my time and effort. Just to clarify once more, I have no hate for the people that did that; I wish I had too. Without knowing the motivation behind every single person's choices, I don't personally have any stake in the moral debate "Is it right for to just lie back and let other people carry me to the good prizes?". There's nothing wrong with playing the system; the annoying thing is that the system facilitated and rewarded lack of participation as long as there was an association with the right bands, while basically snubbing the people who participated without that association...:(
Feedback board is on feedback. Your message will be seen better there.
The yellow wasn't limited. The lime was exclusive to the members only.
Ok I have been following this thread since midnight and I think I am two prizes short, unless there's something I'm not seeing.
I think since you supported a winning team, you should have gotten the flyer + a plushie.
Go back to the prize page. If you don't get them, fill a ticket.
