to my understanding (from talking to ), it was awarded that way because if prizes were given to the specific bands and their supporters, those items would be fewer in number than the ones given to the grand champions (because they would have more supporters to award prizes to), and it makes less sense for the winners to have prizes that are more common than the runner ups. not that i'm saying it's fair or deserved, but afaik that was the reasoning.

on the bright side, it also makes the items a lot easier to obtain in case some people wanted them but couldn't because of their choice, so at least there's that!

I just don't think people who didn't support us should get the Granny Smith items. Those should've been exclusive to US and OUR supporters. I don't care so much about the other items. It's nice that more are in circulation and I can buy them now, but the Granny Smith items should be GRANNY SMITH ITEMS ONLY, just like the Horns and Roses items were.

HMMMM Yeah I'm def with on this one, I actually expected those who won categories to get some special sort of forum title outta this, especially given how hard they all worked to get into that position. But again, it's okay! A lot of really neat items came outta this c:

It'd actually be cool if in the next botb they allowed the same amount of band-themed items to be released. Its kinda really cool that it wasn't just /one/ item like i expected.

Those items are a shout out to how awesome your band was, can't you be happy it even exists? They could have just not done any tribute to your band whatsoever. This was probably intended to make you feel good about yourselves. Not to make you upset.

Honestly I'd rather they not have been given out at all, or us even been made runner up. Our supporters and us got nothing exclusive, so what's the point?

I don't even understand why Granny Smiths got items tbh. You were runner-ups yeah but uh, you didn't win and you didn't win genre either. If anything, the genre winners should have gotten those special prizes. But wow, two special prizes based specifically on your band just isn't good enough for you is it? You guys are literally some of the biggest sore losers I've ever seen, jfc.

I understand where you are coming from. But I can also see why having fewer exclusive items would be an issue for prize "value" or whatever. You totally do deserve some sort of forum title at the very least. Maybe they will see the error of their ways and add one in..? Also I have those granny items and if you want you can have them cuz like... I'm never going to use them.

lemme tell you, i'd be damn happy to have items based off of my band if i was in your position.

1. I don't think a lot of people went in scheming like … "I'm gonna click support but then not even play just so I can get prizes" because it's not like people knew ahead of time that H&R supporters would get the amount of prizes they did.
2. Based on the fact that your band had 100+ more supporters than H&R's did and H&R still won, it seems pretty unlikely that a ton of people "didn't even play the game." Supporters worked really hard to get scores, and just because you're upset about the prize distribution (which is admittedly quite skewed) doesn't mean that people didn't work to get H&R to that position.

We lost by a whopping 5000 points. 300K points total. But apparently that's not good enough for you. You are a pretty sore winner yourself, sweetie.

Our supporters also worked really hard to get us there too. If you remember correctly, Dreadnought got the highest score out of everyone, period. So our supporters, who also worked really hard, aren't worthy of exclusive items? Also I said " you didn't even have to play the game" not "didn't play the game".

I'm not saying you're not worthy. Of course you worked hard, I understand that! But there were tons of people who worked hard, including those who were genre winners and not runner-ups. They didn't get exclusive items because they didn't come in first place. So why should you?

(On a different note, I definitely think deserves more than they got. Because 17k is a massive accomplishment.)

And on that note, they ALSO SHOULD'VE gotten exclusive prizes too. So all those plushies and flyers that went to HnR supporters should've only gone to the genre winners. Again, HnR supporters got way more than they deserved.

I'm well aware of the fact that you were 5k points under us. You and your supporters did a great job, the competition was intense. But uh, you still lost. You got prizes though, cool, but you would rather them be taken away completely because they aren't top-notch exclusive to you and your supporters. It doesn't matter how many points you lost by, the bottom line is that you still lost, which means that you don't get the luxuries that the winning team does.

I do see your point about the flyers only going to each respective band's supporters, and I think that would've been the case if not for the item rarity issue. Had that been the case, I would be all for GS items being exclusive because all the band items would be exclusive to individual bands and their supporters. But unfortunately it's not the case b/c then a lot of collection items would be unattainable.

It doesn't matter by HOW MUCH you lost. You still lost. Thats the concept of every single competition ever. Think of every.single.competion.ever: America Idol, The Voice, The olympics, hell, Elections too... it doesn't matter if you make it .1 second too late or if you're 10 votes behind, you still lose. Because that's the concept of a competition.

You lost by 5000 points. But staff was impressed enough that they took time to make two special items based on your band. You should have gotten nothing, as many people have explained above, yet you STILL got items made and you STILL aren't happy.

Do you realize how rare those items would be if they weren't handed to our supporters, though? Those bands had less supporters than us, and those plushies would have been a bitch for people to get for collections. There still aren't many in circulation, but it's better than having a few hundred less on site. The reason our supporters got the plushies and flyers was due to the fact that they would have been even more rare than they already are. Do I think it would have been better for them to become tiered prizes based on how many points you scored if you did not support the band that won them as genre prizes? Yep. That would have been a better way to handle it, imo.

Saying our band's supporters didn't deserve what they got is a bit of a low blow, tbh. Even though I personally suggested that there was a better way to hand out prizes, I certainly don't think our supporters don't deserve what they got. Would it have made it a little more fair to people who didn't support us? Certainly. But suppose you won, would you be saying that your supporters didn't deserve what they got? I doubt it.

No yeah, I didn't wanna comment on it but that's.... kind of a really sad attitude about the whole thing. They didn't have to make you an item, but they did, which, honestly, I'm sure a lot of other winning bands would have loved for the same opportunity. It was a really cool move on the staff's part to be excited about a band that didn't even win first prize.

I agree. The first place BAND MEMBERS maybe deserve every item. But not the supporters. It honestly takes away from all the effort every band put in. Which was a lot more than just playing a game.

The flyers and/or plushies could've gone out to all the finalists or entries in that category. Rarity issue solved. I think the entire distribution was messed up, period. For all the weeks it took to get the prizes out, you would think they'd have thought of this all a bit more.
