My childhood included: Old USSR cartoons, Cartoon Network: Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry and the 90's bunch, anime came a bit later on RTL II, it was in german, so I learnt multiple languages by just watching cartoons. But one of the biggest influence was Moomin! The books and the animated show!

Pokemon pogs were very popular here, you got them blindly in Cheetos and lay's bags, and the shops had trouble keeping children from damaging the chips because they were poking the bags to find the prizes.

Also, I remember these beautiful things:

I mean... just look at it! The stands are a work of art! Every girl wanted one. Some had many different ones (they were very expensive), I had only one and a boy in my kindergarten class (yes, boys loved them too, because of the flying doll) broke the pulling mechanism a few days after my mom bought it.

I'm old but young at heart. Reading theses posts was like reading my children's favorites (except for the USSR cartoons) :)

My childhood was one channel on (TV) Bonanza, Ed Sullivan Show, Red Skelton (comedian), Dean Martin (singer), The Friendly Giant (Canadian kids show), Mr. Dress Up, playing Chinese Checkers with my mom, playing Cribbage with my dad, riding my horses, playing with my dog and cats. Being in the choir and recitation in Music Festivals. Gilligan's Island and Get Smart and Mary Tyler Moore and, of course, The Bugs Bunny Show. Ma and Pa Kettle on Saturdays. I could go on and on.

I don't think I ever left my childhood - now I have the shows on DVD and play with my imaginary pets on Subeta as well as my real dogs and cats.

Thanks for the memories (Bob Hope)

I watched pretty much the same stuff as other 90s kids, except for PBS.

I think overall the most nostalgic TV for me were the old late 90s-early 00s DISNEY CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIES!!! For a while there they released a new one every month. My favorites were Brink, Halloweentown, Zenon, Johnny Tsunami, Smart House, Stepsister from Planet Weird... pretty much all of them until 2003 or 2004, haha.

Me and my friends legit aimed these at each other when we were playing, and boy did it hurt when the wings got caught in your hair... Thinking back now, that was probably quite dangerous, we were lucky nothing more serious happened.

Childhood series though! I'm from Northern Europe, so the Moomins were a massive part of my childhood. Same with the old My Little Pony shows and movies, and anything related to the first two generations.

I got my first Harry Potter book when I was seven, and a year later I managed to read through quite a few books from Tolkien's Legendarium. I remember I was too young to see the movies in cinema when they were released, that was was one of the biggest disappointments in my life lmao. OH, I also remember really enjoying the YA book series about a perfect clone called Amy, she had a crescent-shaped birthmark or something but I can't recall the series name to save my life... I think it might have been called Replica but idk? Also Goosebumps.

I guess Pokémon and Disney's 90s movies go without saying, since they were a bit of a phenomenon.

From video games, I'd say the Spyro, Crash Bandicoot from Ps1, and then a couple of years later Jak & Daxter, Sly Raccoon, and Ratchet & Clank were my faves. Popular platformers with endearing furry protagonists, hahaa.

I was glued to Disney; I loved Lizzy McGuire's hair and sass, Raven's wittiness and style. However, I did much more than just play Crash, Tomb Raider, watch Disney and...

My childhood consisted of face-to-face interactions, carpooling, sunburns, freckles, grass stains on my bare knees, blaming my dad for being British and my fair skin, playing sports, crushes on the boy 2 houses down, playing outside until the streets lights turned on, eating dinner at my friend's without asking my mum...

Transforms Armada, Sonic X, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mew Mew Power, Pokemon Advanced Battle, Powerpuff Girls... And who remembers this bad boy? Though it was a bit before my time, and I only played either of my sister's... The first actual handheld game system I owned, or partially owned, since I was my sister's too...

Almost every cartoon on Cartoon Network at the late 90's and early 2000's. Absolute number1 was Powerpuff Girls (which really defined my personality, thinking about having superpowers and all, I think) and Tom&Jerry, Pokemon.. Also having no phone, shitty computer and internet, and playing outside with the other kids, of course. I feel sorry for today's kids..

Oh there were so many! The ones I remember the most though are "The World of David the Gnome", "Heidi, Girl of the Alps", "Bannertail: The Story of Gray Squirrel", "Doctor Snuggles", "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils", "Thundercats", "Muppet Babies" and "Fraggle Rock". You can probably tell by those that I was born in the 80s.
