Alek sighed. "It's been a rough day so far. I'd say it has to be atleast afternoon by now. I'm going to take a nap. Willow, wake me up if you get into too much trouble. Oh, and Stabby?" Alek sat up and slapped the back of Jack's head. "Be good, doggy." He laid down and looked up to Willow. "By the way, the dog might need a bath. He stinks." Alek snickered as he tried to sleep, laying his head on the bag full of medical supplies.
"so where we goin". Jack asked as he opened the glove department. He was thinking of places they would go to be safe. He withdrew a sharpie from the department and turned toward the back seat of the jeep beginning to decorate Aleks face with innopropriate words and pictures
Willow tried to ignore the goings on next to her, "I'm not really sure, we should try to avoid places that had anything to do with people. On the other hand, if we are going to stick together we need to stock up on supplies, we are going to have to eat sometime here."
Alek sat up quickly and smiled. "Food sounds like an excellent idea. I say we hit up the nearest McDonald's and grab some fries." Jack started giggling for some reason and Alek saw the Sharpie sitting next to him. "GROW UP!" Alek yelled as he smacked Jack's head.
"McDonald's? Really? You think if we just pull up and order a big mac they will be there grinning?" Willow shook her head, "I was thinking something more like a department store or mall. Something that has non perishable food we can stock up on and other supplies. I don't know about you but I am eventually going to run out of bullets."
"Well, I know a place where we can get extra guns and bullets. My friend's house. That's where I got my shotgun." Alek grinned with certainty. "And perhaps we can find a walmart or something? You know, a place where we have lots of supplies and food." Alek turned towards Jack. "Any objections, Stabby?"
Willow thought for a moment, "Alright, lets get to your friends house first, then walmart. Its a risk there but, if we move fast it should be fine. Where's your friends house?"
"No objections, but that thing about your friends house its the opposite direction to the store (you have friends?). Jack sat back up and put the marker away and got a notebook out and began writing silently.
"Well, how much gas do we have?" Alek looked outside. The sad look of zombies' faces made him wonder, how could his life go on if zombies were here to stay? It seemed futile. No point at all. Alek reached down to tie his shoes when something got his eye. "Jack!" He yelled. "Er... Stabby! There's a hundred dollar bill down here! How did you miss this?" Alek picked it up and stared at it. "Then again... Money is useless now that the undead freaks have taken over. But we do need gas sometime soon."
"This jeep was made for emergencys so its packed with guns bullets, some food, and my college money i no longer need." Jack than pulled out a CD player and began listening to music withdrawing himself from conversation, but still continueing to write.
"You and your sad, sad life." Alek said, chuckling to himself. "Willow, we're almost there. Take a left on J and then go straight for a little bit." Alek laid back and looked at himself. He had gathered even more dirt on him than earlier. This'd be a rough adventure if he didn't have these two. And for a moment... For a moment, he felt grateful.
Willow nodded, turning where she needed to, "What kind of emergency would you need bullets...I mean before this fun fiasco." She swerved to avoid an abandoned car. The street was oddly empty, even during this time they should have seen a few zombies wandering around. "Tell me when we get near."
Bullets for my dads 2nd job, Id rather not talk about it though. He would not be scared to put me in his job for a trade. He than closed the notebook, and contiued listening to music....
Alek looked at Willow and back to Jack. "So, Willow, what's your story? Factory worker? Flight attendant?" Alek rubbed his arm where the blade had gone in. "Doctor?"
Willow glanced at Alek, "I was in college to be a vet. I was going to my class when the outbreak started, had to kill one of my professors. Kinda enjoyed it." She looked around the block, "So are we close or did you forget about where we were going?"
"Lemme see... 1762... 1764...1766... Ah! 1768. This is my friend's house number. But it looks... So different." Alek stared at the decaying house. "My friend was the closest thing I had to family. When the outbreak happened, I had to kill him..." Alek stared down and then jumped out of the jeep. "Alright, I'll go check out the inside. Make sure it's safe and zombie free. You two guard the outside of the house. If zombies get in, I have no chance of getting out." Alek walked into the house clutching his shotgun and gritting his teeth.
Jack got out of the jeep. With his headphones he had not heard Aleks instructions and got his spear out. He than followed Alek into the odd house.
Willow watched the two guys rush into the house. She sighed and stood guard, hoping they would come out in one piece. She wasn't worried so much about zombies, but what they would do to each other.
Alek was walking in the house slowly when he heard irregular footsteps behind him. He hid in the shadow to wait for the figure to pass, but it didn't. It stopped and stood where it was. Alek jumped out and fired his shotgun in the direction of the figure before he saw who it really was.
