Landin growled and turned and punched the side of the cave." Both of you. Shut up! Alright. In the prophecy it showed up fighting and killing the other group anyway, so what should it mater if we get rid of one or two now.It could save out own lives later. Don't you understand, all of you.... Soul Eaters are suppose to be heartless, rather or not we choose to be one or were forced." Landin said glaring at them all, and looking over at Nathaniel as he said the last part." We are suppose to kill others.... that's our destiny, that's the prophecy. Who cares is she accepts it or not, you were her friend before Nathaniel and Sam before you saw her talking to me." He said angry showing in his eyes now, his fists shaking in anger.

Fawn made her way back to camp and sat on a log ready to cook the rabbit she caught.

Eliza stopped speaking as Landin angrily spoke. Fuming, she turned and packed her belongings together. She knew that Landin's rant was true, though she didn't want to kill others. It just wasn't...her. Maybe this Soul Eater is a rose in a mud puddle, she thought.

Brian had caught a deer, and was heading back towards camp. He saw Fawn cooking a rabbit, and went over to join her. "The spirits have been kind to me," he mused as he sat next to her.

Fawn quietly looked over at Brian and smiled." The spirits were good to me as well. I was even able to gather up some healing herbs" She said motioning to the small pouch on her waist. ooc: I feel we need to wait for the others#coad

Brian looked down at the pouch. "Nice," he said with a smile. He looked back at the deer he had caught. "So, tell me about the herbs. I know nothing about them."

OOC: Yeah, me too. :P

Fawn smiled at him and nodded excitedly." I know a lot about herbs because that is what Elder had me be in charge of gathering for her because she could not make the trip into the forest." Well there is Fennel, it can be used fto ease stomach pains, sore throats, and it has antibacterial properties for wounds. There is also Echinacea(purple coneflower) which is used a lot,it helps heal a body fighting the common cold--the roots, leaves and purple flowers of the Echinacea plant have a stimulating effect on the immune system.The flowers reduce inflammation and relieve pain." She replied smiling at Brian." There are also Ginsing that helps with fevers, and inflaming;Elderberries used for pain, swelling, infections, coughs and fevers;Marigold, Milk Thistle,Opium Poppy, And many more." She said listing them off on her fingers.

Brian blinked. "Woah...you have good memory." Brian laughed. "You're going to become a fine Elder (wait, that's what they're called, right? XD), just like the last one."

ooc: they are called mages XD ,Elder was the others name(im so creative with them) because she was super old i guess just a bit of a filler character XD

Bic: Fawn smiled and laughed nervously at the compliment." Thank you Brian." She pulled her poncho closer as a cold wind blew through the trees." That was one of the reasons I was always away from the camp, gathering plus its funnier in the fields." She laughed and checked to see how the rabbit was cooking.

BIC: "Yeah..." Brian leaned forward and set his head in his hands. "But you're ready for it, aren't you?" he then asked.

Fawn looked over at Brian." Ready for what?" She asked a bit confused.

Brian glanced up at Fawn. "Ready to be a mage," he explained.

Sam smiled gratefully at Nathaniel. "Thanks," She flinched as Landin punched the wall. She swiped a piece of meat and chewed it, ignoring the heat. She put her wolf skin backpack on, and just listened like she usually did. -- poopdedoop--

bic; - Nathaniel stood up. "It was hardly our 'destiny' to kill," he said to Landin, his hand clenched in a tight fist. "Maybe for you, but not for me." he muttered. He slung his rucksack onto his back, it was made of tough deer hide. "Well, I'm going. Its your choice to follow." he said, looking around at everyone before he left the cave, starting up on the mountain, without waiting for the others. It was a barren, rocky mountain, and it was freezing. He could already feel the demonic presence on the mountain, and he had only been walking a couple minutes. He paused, and took out his medicine horn. He emptied a bit of red ochre onto his palm and spat on it to make it into earthblood. He daubed the sign of the hand on his cheek, to keep him safe. He continued, not looking back to see if Eliza, Landin and Sam were following.

bic: Landin just shook his head and silently followed Nathaniel up the mountain. He followed Nathaniel's idea, and took out a medicine horn and daubed the sign onto his cheek as well. He then crossed his arms over his chest and looked towards the ground as the wind blew past his face. He could sense the demonic presence that hung in the air. There was no mistaking the evil that lived on the mountain.

Eliza cussed under her breath before snatching up her stuff, slinging the bag over her shoulder, and hurrying to catch up with Landin and Nathaniel. She certainly didn't want to be left alone, and would gladly choose staying with people she had had a row with than being left behind. She caught up with Landin and slowed her pace, not really relishing the thought of walking by Nathaniel. "Give me some ochre..." she said, sticking her hand out, "...please."

Sam walked out right behind Nathaniel, silent as a mouse. She watched him get some ochre. She simply watched, unsure what he was doing. --me either! lol -- "What is that?" She asked, tilting her head a little.

ooc; - Oh, I get what you mean. xD Sorry :P - Ochre. In the books, an amount of Ochre is in everyone's medicine horn, and everyone would have some. They would all know what it is, and they would all have some for their own. They can make it into a paste, or earth blood, by getting some powder and mixing it with spit or water... or something like that. :P They use it for protecting themselves against demons; Ochre is used for drawing the lines of power (lines you can draw on the ground around your shelter to keep you safe) or the sign of the hand (a hand you can draw on your skin in earthblood to help keep away demons) etc. If that makes any sense... xD

bic; "What is that?" Sam asked. Nathaniel turned around, looking at her quizzically. Everyone knew what Ochre was, everyone used it. He opened his mouth to ask if she was kidding, when he heard scratching. He could feel the ground beneath him thudding. "This is worse than I thought." he said. "The demons are close, trapped in the rocks. They're in the Otherworld, and they know we're here. Lets keep moving," he said, looking around and shivering.

ooc; Uh.... the only demons physically described in the book are tokoroths, and the big bear demon, so idk what they look like. :P But there can't be demons popping up everywhere, I think they're supposed to be like... contained in the Otherworld.

OOC: Ohhh ok :P That makes sense. I thought that everyone would have some, but I wasn't sure and just made my character too lazy to get her own. :P

BIC: Eliza glanced around as she heard the scratching. She shuddered a bit before picking up her pace. (not sure what to post until replies :P)

ooc; - Yeah I know what you mean :P Sorry that its confusing :( It just... idk it explains it in the book, and I'm really bad at explaining lol. I guess Ochre is kind of like... a sacred thing for them? Sea clans wouldn't have it, but The clans in the Far North (glaciers and stuff), Mountain Clans, Clans of the Open Forest and the Deep Forest would all have it. It's something they're given when they're born, the medicine horn filled with Ochre. Everyone has some because they use it for protection against demons, rituals, and death marks. Again, sorry if it makes no sense :'c

OOC: It's ok. :P So would Red Deer clan, Raven Clan, and Wolf clan have it??

ooc; yes, they're open forest clans, so they would all have it. The only clan in this rp who wouldn't have it is the Seal Clan. In the book, Red Deer is actually a deep Forest Clan. But they would still have it. And in the book the Wolf Clan is a roving clan, so they move all around the Open Forest. But yeah, they'd still all have it. And in this rp Red Deer and Wolf are open forest, non-roving clans. Lol.
