: That's why I asked where everybody was, last I knew, most everybody was still on the island. Aya was presumably back at the campsite. I'm not rushing the wedding today, Frieda and Weldon are still talking about it and deciding exactly what to do. Aya may still throw a monkey-wrench into the works, ( or in her case...a weasel-wench. )

Ok i will wait to see what happens.:)

Here's how the Weasel clans get married.

Step one, the female proposes to the male sometime before courtship. ( I proposed to Weldon as a very young child, just before I was enrolled in school...OH, YES I DID! I re-proposed later as a young adult because I had forgotten that I had done it as a youngster, but Weldon remembered, which is why he didn't pursue any other females who came of age...long story....)

Step two, courtship. This can take months or minutes, depending on the situation. However it is done before the female 'comes of age.' Also, the male has to ask the mother for the right to take the daughter's paw in marriage. If the mother says no, the male is forbidden from continuing the relationship. He may challenge the mother, but the father will fight the male to the death. This hasn't happened in hundreds and hundreds of years of recorded weasel history.

Step three, coming of age. This is a nebulous term. It just means that the female is emotionally ready. It's a heightened sense of internal conflict that the female experiences just before she finally decides that the 'time if right' for her to get married. The heightened emotional state can sometimes cause conflict between the male and female ( I nearly killed Weldon...I slapped the ever living poo out of him and knocked him into the ocean from the deck of the large ship we were working on. REalizing what I had done, I jumped overboard to be with him and the ship sailed off into the sunset with us treading water in the middle of the sea. Fortunately I had my 'lurking device with me and I teleported us both back onto the ship. We materialized on the floor of my estate room liplocked in a passionate embrace, right at Merril's feet. That's when she told me, "it's time Lady Frieda," and my mind caught up with my emotions and I knew then exactly what she meant. Welly and I were married that night...thank the Maker.)

Step four : marriage. Typically, the parents of the male and female host a dinner at the home of the female's parents. After dinner, the father of the female tells the male that he is now an adopted son and entreats him to provide a home, food and children for his bride. The young couple are shown to a bed chamber where they will spend their first night together and the rest go off to their rooms and retire. ( Sparkles started a new tradition of the torchlit walk to the parents home, the firepits, a large dinner of friends and family, dancing, music, drink and making the male sing to the female for the 'right' to take her to his bed. My 'wedding' to Weldon was just as elaborate.) The reason that there isn't a lot of pomp or ceremony is that most marriages happen 'on the spur of the moment,' due to the immediacy of the female's decision when the time is right. It is therefore expedient that the whole thing be put together in a few hours. Also, though we have a profound close relationship with our Maker, we have no religion to speak of, therefore no need to have religious trappings. That is not to say that those things are meaningless, not by any means. Human traditions just don't translate to the animal kingdom.

So, Aya has proposed, Robin has asked me for Aya's paw, they are courting, she shows every sign that she is in that state of internal conflict, The marriage is immanent. We just need to be patient...and decorate...and eat some cookies.....and cry some.....and.....um....maybe I can find Welly alone in our tent.

AAAH-HA! I has a plan! Finally toward the end of our camping trip, an idea comes to me! And here it is!

I will pick up invitations for everyone we know that was active in the RP. Then I will use the gift center to send them out. The "card" (message in the box) will look like this:

Laurie hastily scribbles out the name Georgiana and prints her name in instead. Stoooopid print shop cant even spell Laurie right.. ugh Opening the invitation you find the following message. At least they got this part right..

Master Healer Freida Von Stuben and her mate Lieutenant Colonel Weldon George of the Subeta Air Command request you join them as they officially celebrate their daughter Aya full name or is it just Aya? accepting the hand of Robin full name and where he hails from? as her life-mate.

Where: Camp Weaselly-Waskell, Lake Caldera, Veta Lake

When: Sunday, the 14th of September as the sun sets

Anything else? Different wording? Is Sunday evening too soon? Just let me know. What I need from you, Andreas, is a list of who's involved in the RP so I know how many invites to pick up and who to send them to. What I need from you, Frieda, is permission to do this, proper wording and such.

I know Kim isnt going to make it back but I think I should send her one anyway. What do you guys think? Ive got the kids today but should find time to do this while they're occupied doing other things.

It is Sparky and Sally's wedding...and I will also include a draft of Lady Frieda and Weldon's wedding, including the song that Weldon sang to Frieda...after I sort through my computer files to find it.

- We are all in the dark when it comes to weasel weddings so that's up to them but I would consider that something like a tiara or veil and say Yes, yes they do.

I am sending out the Lady's surprise as soon as I get the new items added to the newly wearable section of SBL and compose this mornings post. I think everyone will get a cough bang out of it LOL!

edits I have sent out everyones Reborn Confetti Cracker from the Lady and a little gift for Freddy and Aya from her and Laurie. I hope I dont seem to be trying to take over the progress of the RP but I'm afraid my time is almost up. As Ive explained to Nikki and Kim, October, November, December and into January Subeta's items are non-stop as are the events. Ive got my giveaway for 5 weeks in October plus making sure everything's added to SubetaLodge and the news, items and newly wearable pages are correct and up to date for Morostide, Fireside, Black Friday also brings a ton of new stuff, then Luminaire and my lair events with that plus New Years stuff. Then its a few weeks to catch your breath then Survivor (Zombie/love epidemic season) then the Masquerade and Subeta has an anniversary in there somewhere, then Esthers. After the wedding the RP will be at a point where I can bow out gracefully and the others can continue on. =)
