Kia snorted slightly regarding the comment of their mother. "Yes, well and a pet would be too much work for her I suppose." She blushed faintly and smiled glancing over at Lucas. "It's only tonight, but I'm very glad to see him, even if it's only for a little while.

Archer glanced over at Kia's boyfriend. "Is he some kind of work-a-holic or something?"

He didn't like the implications that they would be doing something illegal. "I'd be more concerned about how crowded it is. I guess I didn't stop to think about how busy it gets here at this time of the year." He glanced over at Kia just in time to catch her eye, and grinned without realizing it. "But yeah, that would be fun."

Has to do with his family, so I don't think it's entirely by choice." He raised his eyebrows at Kia, a sly smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "If he's only here for the night, what are you doing over here? Go see him. Get all the time that you can."

Cin sort of cringed but converted it into a smile before anything could be said about it. "Yeah, it's weird how suddenly popular this place gets when fall happens." Glancing up and around, even in the settling darkness Cin could make out the differences in the leaves of the trees and smell their decaying corpses on the breeze. Along with other sorts of corpses to be sure, the underground was downwind after all. Thinking about dead things reminded him yet again of his lost friend and caused him to shift uncomfortably. Leaning into the closest building much like he had leaned on the poor sapling earlier Cin lifted a brow. "The sooner we get in there the better. When an area is picked clean another doesn't open till the next night." How he managed to recall such an odd bit of information escaped him but he didn't linger long on that wonder. Instead his attention drifted over the yards towards the pumpkin patch where numerous persons were beginning to illuminate their freshly carved creations.

((Ah, hell with it, sitting around spectating is boring. I don't think I'll be interrupting too much if I hop in here, will I? and for safety's sake ))

"Is waiting a single night really such a bad thing?" A woman's voice came somewhere out of the darkness, followed shortly by light reflected from a pair of red eyes and small but distinctive fangs, revealed several moments in advance of the woman herself, as she was dressed all in black, with a hood pulled fairly low over her face, hiding it in shadow. The dark blue color of her skin probably made this much easier, as it too would almost blend in in the low light - not that it could probably be seen from that angle, at least not just yet. "Then again, perhaps there is something I am missing. Or I am simply biased, when it comes to the passage of time." She eyed the participants of the conversation she had stepped into for a moment before adding, "Ah, sorry. I do hope I'm not interrupting anything?"

"It certainly feels like I am boring. But being a street performer might be kind of fun. Rev certainly is a protective little Montre. I'm sure he could keep me safe if need be," Platina mused, bumping Daniel with his hip. "Though a duet might be in order after I heard you play your saxophone," he said with a smile.

(( So I am going out of town. I'll have my phone but it makes it difficult to proofread and spell check everything x.x Work tonight then ALL DAY tomorrow then I leave. So yeah. If I am not able to respond properly I'll see you all on the 21st! ))

"Yes, I think I could be persuaded to play with you..." Daniel smiled. "But how would you like to teach music, for example? Or being part of a string quintet? Or maybe even an orchestra??" Sometimes the young man would feel so excited que would extrapolate.

Kia gave her brother a mischievous, 'i won't admit you're right' smile and without another word got up and headed back over to Lucas, wrapping her arm around his. There was another woman there that Kia vaguely remembered but she couldn't remember if she'd actually had any interactions with her. "Lucas, they're opening the gates to the patch. Do you want to head in?"

Archer snorted slightly. "Your sister definitely knows what she wants and goes for it doesn't she?"

He would have said more, but Kia's re-arrival served to rearrange his thoughts as well. "Cin was mentioning something about a back way," he told Kia, glancing back at Cin for confirmation. "Avoiding crowds would probably be nice." The amount of people thronging for the pumpkin patch was a little unnerving. No wonder Jaxon Skelly had such a bad attitude toward visitors.

"I think I'm all right with avoiding the crowds in regards to pumpkins. It's nice just to spend some time with you."

"Oh... I see." She flashed a fanged grin at Kia as the other woman arrived. "Sneaking in, huh? Not very honest of you." She followed the others' looks toward the great crowd of people by the main entrance. "Then again, if there's a deadline, and with all that mess, maybe I can see why..." There was a brief pause before she grinned again. "I might be able to help with that, then... Since you've got a good reason for it."

Platina smiled, "Good. I'm sure we can find a piece of music we can begin practicing with. Shall we go?" He wanted to get these contacts out, "I think my hotel would be closest; it's not far outside of town." The visitors didn't much appreciate nighttime pranks thanks to the people who lived in this part of Subeta, so the only hotel was outside of town where the denizens didn't go.

Cin's attention had wandered but the angelic voice of a newcomer snapped it back into place. Blinking a few times to regain his bearings Cin eyed the hooded figure curiously. Not long after she arrived Kia returned and the entire group was talking about pumpkin picking. His ears perked up when the stranger mentioned possibly being able to help. Perhaps she also knew about the back way, whatever it was if they were caught and it had been her idea the blame would rest less on Cin's shoulders and he liked the sound of that very much thank you.

Momentarily the bright orange orbs that were Cin's eyes flicked towards the two Kia had been talking to. Were they not coming along? Squinting in their direction a sharp pang exploded inside his chest and in that instant he understood why. Had Bio been present Cin would probably have been acting much the same. Even if his affections was generally pushed aside and ignored Cin didn't seem to mind at all and would shamelessly give them as long as it took. No one wanted to be alone, not even the grumpiest of goats could fool him.

"So ah, what's the plan then?" Returning his attention to the present group and feeling a little rude for having stared at the wayward pair for so long he lit another cigarette and took a long drag.
