"Thanks, Cheshire!" he smirked. "For pointing the way and the advice. And you're right, I really shouldn't rush things, but I can't help being excited. Anyway, I think I'll be going, I've bothered you enough already. See you around when you get back!" His eyes had a little bit of contrasting guilt, both for bothering Kai and for leaving him there alone, but Daniel figured being alone was exactly what Kai was needing or wanting right now, so he followed the indicated path to town, where thankfully, he spotted Platina and moved on towards him.

Regardless, he smiled and gave a small wave as the young man retreated, no doubt off to find his favorite person. Kai knew he was like that too; drawn like a needle to a lodestone. Still, he resisted that pull just a little while longer. There was something else, a different magnetic force, holding him where he was. It wasn't something he could explain: it simply was there. He would humor it for just a bit more before giving in and seeking out his own due north.

"Not a bad idea," Platina said in response to Sui's happy mentioning of party-crashing. He glanced down at himself and gave a wry smile. "I don't suppose either of you have any ideas as to what I should dress up as next? I'm afraid I haven't a single idea at all." He wasn't too sure about these contacts either; they were bothering him more than he thought they would.

"You know, I like blondes, but seeing you in black makes me think I would go for Maleficent instead of Aurora if you decide to pair up with my prince costume" Daniel caught up with them and greeted Platina with a soft kiss on the cheek. The mere presence of the man made him feel all confident of a sudden. He turned to Archer and greeted him as well. "Evening, Archer. I just saw Kai by the port, he said he should be here soon." Then to Sui. "And I don't believe I've met this young lady. I'm Daniel Armstrong, at your service" bowing at the end of the introduction.

Sui giggled "I'm Sui Leroux, my noble knight. But I'm supposing you're Platina's noble knight, not mine, so figure of speech only"

Platina stiffened in surprise when he heard Daniel's voice. He smiled at the kiss, "Well now, a princess would be right up my alley, I think." Yes, he wouldn't mind crossdressing; it was Moristide! Anyone could be anything they wanted for these few weeks. "But don't you like the dragon idea? You can slay me," he suggested with a laugh as he slid his arms around Daniel's neck and then kissed him softly on the lips. "Good to see you again, Daniel." He smiled at Sui, a bit embarrassed, "I beg your pardon, Sui, for my display."

"Aww, you two are so cute... and what display?" She looked genuinely confused by the end of the sentence. To her, the only display he made was of love and cuteness.

[Color=DarkGreen] Daniel kissed Platina back, smiled and brushed away a few strands of black hair. "I could never slay you literally, you are the pet kind of dragon. And where did you get these? And where are your real wings?" He touched the man's wings as he spoke.

Cin was skeptical but after he calmed down and was able to really -look- at the other mans costume it became easier to believe that Lucas was indeed being truthful. "I can see why, although I don't think your girlfriend likes me." He flashed a smile. "Hold on a sec OK. Don't go anywhere." Having an impeccable sense of smell Cin didn't need to ask them what Lucas had been holding. It was a seasonal flavor but only one shop in town made them with a minute hint of salt. Surprisingly quick on his feet the youth returned not long after, drink caddie in tow housing two pumpkin spiced lattes and two regulars. "Peace offering." Dramatically he got down on one knee and lifted the tray of warm drinks toward Kia. Somewhat of a ham Cin didn't much care if she would find it amusing or not. Some people just didn't have a great sense of humor. Guess they would soon find out.

"I'm glad you aren't taking offense," Platina said to Sui with a sweet smile. He leaned into Daniel a bit, "Just a bit of magic. They're just tucked away for the few weeks, that's all. I wanted to try something new. Though crossdressing would be fun," he said with a light laugh. "Perhaps I'll see if I can chase down a gown befitting a princess, hm?" Or something more dragonish. Dragons were interesting.

Archer wasn't sure how the Daniel fellow knew who he was, or how he even recognized Archer without the mask. Still the recognition told Archer that he was going to have to be far more careful about how he went out in public... and to especially keep an eye on the young student as a possible threat later.

Still he could tell where he was not invited in on the conversation. Platina had been giving off waves of dislike and hatred in his direction since he walked up to the group initially.

The Daniel kid said that Kai had been at the port so Archer moved over to the cafe that had a goot sitting area in view of the path that lead from it. Obviously his.. Archer's thoughts paused, suddenly unsure what to call Kai in his mind. His lover? No, that had a certain crassness to it that didn't fit Kai at all, Boyfriend was too juvenile. Partner worked, but it didn't give the full level of feelings that were there between the two of them. Archer shook his his slightly dismissing the thought, either way it was a good place to wait for Kai to return from the alone time he obviously was feeling he needed.

Kia raised a skeptical eye at the tailed man, boy, thing, really not sure what to make of him. She didn't really trust anyone who was that much of a ham. Especially after being rude before. Spoke too much of someone who wanted something more than what they were showing. "That wasn't necessary," she said looking at the tray of drinks. "But thank you."

She took the caddy with her free hand, surprised slightly at the unexpected weight as the balance shifted nearly sending those drinks flying as well. She righted it though, placing her drink in the middle of the four as she switched her grip.

Kai wasn't sure what he was waiting for anymore. Things had likely moved on, and there was really nothing keeping him out of town - on the contrary, even Kai could recognize that it was somewhat out of character for him to be so far removed from everything going on. He gave the moored ships one last glance-over before turning and heading back down the path.

It was easy, now that Kai had seen him in his costume, to pick Archer out of a crowd. He headed straight in Archer's direction, walking up to where he was sitting and leaning down to give him a quick, but meaningful, little kiss. Public displays of affection weren't really something Kai preferred, but small exceptions could be made. "I'm sorry for making you wait," he said softly. "But thank you for waiting."

"Why so many?" He put his free arm around Kia's waist - mostly to steady her, but admittedly in part just for the touch, pure and simple. There was a tension about her that even Lucas could sense, and sometimes a reassuring touch could do wonders to diffuse such things.

"I ruined your date, its what anyone would do." Plucking one of the regular coffees from the tray with care so that the rest wouldn't tip over, Cin saluted his unlikely companions. "This one is mine, one is for you." He nodded at Lucas. "And the other..." He shrugged. "Guess he was just being generous." Cin didn't include that he hadn't paid a cent for any of them, but rather knew the guy and had procured them as a simple favor. The vagrant wolf boy had learned early on that it pays to get familiar with the back of the house staff at any food establishment. Lucky for him, most of said employees were met during Cin's working hours so the connection was made even easier. Shadowglen was turning into one of his favorite haunts, no pun intended, and now he hardly ever had to pay for a meal. Luckier still because he hardly ever had a cent to his name. One long ear flicked slightly and his tail swayed resembling a giant fluffy snake without eyes or a mouth. Somewhat perceptive for his lack of attention he didn't have to be a psychic to tell Kia wasn't overly fond of him. Not quite understand why but willing to accept it all the same Cin twitched slightly and instinctively reached for another cigarette.

"I think you would look lovely wearing anything - or nothing at all -," at this moment, Daniel pinched Platina's sides and wraped him by the waist, then continued "But why is it you want another costume? I mean, aren't you wearing one already?"

"We're crashing a fancy party later, that's why! I mentioned it to that Archer fellow too, but I guess he wans't much into it... Anyways, you both should head to my place later and we could all go together! And Platina, if you're really going as a princess, feel free to browse through my wardrobe!" Sui let out a little laugh and stepped beside Platina as to see if their bodies were somewhat alike.

((OOC: Guys, I'm SO SORRY, I think you were on the same scene when I "got on stage", but I didn't read much of what happened before so I think I've cut you out! ç____ç I'm so sorry, really! Please, come back! Sui would never ignore you guys on purpose, it was all my lack of attention D : ))

Platina laughed at Daniel's comment about the outfits. "Well, you know me. I'm about as flamboyant as a man can get." It was fun though. Pretty clothes were nice, made him feel good. He grinned at Sui, "Closet shopping sounds like fun to me. I'm sure I have something stashed away somewhere at home too." He didn't live far, but it would be annoying to have to go back and forth just for this celebration. "I like this costume pretty well, but I could've done better." He knocked on Daniel's armor with a smile, "Like you."

"Hey, I'm as charming as a prince can get!" he winked. "But party crashing, huh? Are you guys sure this is a good idea?"

For someone like Daniel, doing anything out of the line, as simple as it was, made him a bit nervous.

Archer pulled Kai down into his lap, not at all thinking that Kai would stay there, but it was worth a shot. "You are mostly forgiven. Your friends are talking about crashing Jaxon Skelly's party. Perhaps something should be said to them regarding doing so and Jaxon's foul temper." Really if they were going to crash a celebrity party, one thrown by Calvin Blackmoon would be safer than one thrown by Jaxon Skelly at least from what Archer knew from working with both men.

"But do you feel better for having stepped away for a while?"

Kia looked slightly taken a back at Cin's explanation, and perhaps a bit sheepish. She's been wrong about people before but... it was rare. "Ahh well, thank you again. I suppose we can always give the extra one to Kai's boyfriend Archer if he's around here." She gave Cin a pleasant smile as she leaned into Lucas's embrace, relaxing almost instantly. "It was very nice of you to get us new drinks." She said looking around for Kai, since he didn't seem to be with the group he had been before.

"Well as much fun as that might be, I don't know that crashing one of Skelly's parties would be a really good idea... I'm all about having fun, and pranks but Skelly has a rather nasty temper," Platina said, glancing at Daniel. Ever the voice of reason. Good thing he was here. "Perhaps we should save that for another time. I am, however, happy to go clothes shopping."

"I do feel better, thank you. The sunset was beautiful. Maybe we'll have to go watch the next one together." He brushed his nose against Archer's before kissing him again and pulling away. "I suppose I ought to mention something to them. Though why you couldn't, I'm not sure." He half-smiled, a coyness to the expression. "I didn't realize you were so shy."

"Oh, you're right... I did it last year and when things started getting rough, I had to hide behind a huge pumpkin 'till morning! ... Ok, not. But hey, we could always have our own party! Why don't you guys come over, I'll fix us something to eat and Platina will fix us some runway show" Sui winked at the pair. From her tone and offer, it would seem she had known them for much longer than she actually did. Daniel, for instance, she had literally just met.
