lol I may have startled a few people a bit ago in the store when I turned the corner of an aisle and ran smack into the Christmas barfed all over here aisle.

I believe my words were, "OH GODS NOT ALREADY! WHY CAN'T WE DO THE HOLIDAYS ONE AT A TIME? WHERE IS HALLOWEEN AND THANKSGIVING?" and did a heel turn so fast I should have gotten whiplash.

I may have also annoyed the hell out of my mom when Hallmark Channel advertised that they're starting on Oct. 31 for Christmas movies 24/7. "WHY DON'T THEY JUST MAKE A 24/7 CHRISTMAS CHANNEL AND GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY?" I like watching Murder She Wrote and I'm going to have two and a half months of Christmas. :(

I'm just waiting for the local Halloween store to open. We are having a party and I need to get some decorations and the last of my costume stuff.

ooo, Halloween store... The one that opens up here, well it kind of sucks. I've been in one of those huge stores and it was all shades of awesome.

Ours is usually really cool. Lots to choose from and then the have a section of crazy decorations. Like full size creepy people ones that move and make sounds. I can't even walk into the room they are in lol

I took over managing at the pub I've been working at for ages and it's been a bit of a learning curve. Good for me, mind, but it's been... Challenging, for sure.

I'm sure trying! :D Man, EVERYTHING has changed up in here. I feel like a fish out of water. Everything looks different, achievements are weird, wardrobe is weird, etc. etc. I've gotta re-learn how to play!

I know, right? Back when I came back, achievements were broken, the new wardrobe was buggy, forums were buggy. Everything's a lot more stable right now.

That's pretty much one of the reasons I haven't left here for any amount of time. I don't want to have to relearn how to do anything. It's bad enough having to while I'm still playing. xd

Ugh, the new "beta" wardrobe drives me crazy. Scrolling though the wardrobe sucks on my end. I have a huge monitor and I still can't fit the whole thing on it. I'm missing items that I know I have because I'm looking at them in the old wardrobe. The only good thing about it is I love that I didn't have to give up my zombie self to make normal HAs.

I missed the fall things as well. Work was crazy getting ready for Black Friday week sales. Now we just have to make it through Christmas and then everything will be quiet for a few months.

Also some exciting news, I got engaged a few weeks ago. Wedding is set for October 24th, so that has also been eating up a lot of my free time.

Thank you :) we are super excited. We were lucky we got the venue we wanted, apparently they are booked up for almost every date in September and most of the dates in October. There was only two Saturdays available for the entire fall and one was Halloween lol.

Halloween could make for an... interestingly themed wedding. xD Where is this popular place, if I may ask? :)

Sounds like it was probably a crash fest. I'm glad I missed THAT, but I'm not too happy I've missed so much else. Ah, well. Nice to be back, anyway.

Lesson learned! Feels like it's my first week playing or something. I don't know how anything works, and with all the item re-draws, etc. I really don't recognize much of anything. Also, I keep getting these random achievements popping that that I used to have. THAT is strange and weirding me out. Oh, I hope you had a great birthday, btw. I'm so excited I caught it!! :D

October is probably my most favorite month of the year. CONGRATS on the upcoming wedding!

Thank you. We liked the idea of a cooler season since neither of us wants to be overheated and sweaty lol.

I don't think my sister would forgive me if I got married on Halloween, she has sorta claimed it for her wedding when she has one, lol. Its a brewery event space, so its very rustic with exposed beams and barn board everywhere. The same people that own it also own our favorite restaurant where we went on our first actual date. They are also able to have the ceremony there too so we don't have to rent multiple spaces.

Missed you too!! And ugh, running hours and hours worth of participants through a visual search task is such a dry part of the research. I feel like I've repeated the "this experiment shouldn't physically harm you in any way but if you feel uncomfortable you can just leave and we'll still give you credit for participating" speech a million times by now but it's more closer to 20... which is still enough to make me want to go to sleep listening to myself. xD Hope your new job is going better than my days in the lab!

Okay, forgive me, but is there a "trick" to some of the new backdrops? Things like the for example. Or is is it just the way certain backgrounds are now? My HA doesn't show up when trying to use them, but I suppose they could just be styled that way? I don't know. Sorry for asking weird questions.

I think that's just the way some backgrounds are now - before the wardrobe changed to let you switch between skins, I would have said it was a handy cover-up for the zombies. xD
