((Around twenty)) A smile touched Caine's lips. "Thank you. Now, would it be too much to ask your name?"
They turned onto Bourbon and it was illuminated by neon signs promising beer, newly legalized absinthe, and kareoke. Men and women stumbled though doorways, laughing and leaning on their friends for support. Ah, the night life of the French Quarter. A tour group passed and one of the members wrinkled their nose at the stench of urine and vomit that saturated the street.

Jasper let out a charming little laugh at her last words. "As Could have I" He agreed. He was a little bit stuck on her words about "not killing her prey" it seemed odd that she would have that kind of control to stop herself. Control that he Himself, did Not have. Nor did he want it. It was just the way of life to him. When feeding time came about it was just time to pick out a few humans so that they didnt begin to overpopulate.

He sniffed the air again, a Routine thing In Checking for anything Tasty that Lurked about. If His body still made human noises, his stomach would have been growling all the while. Food had evaded him for the past 3 days. And another day, or night rather, felt like it would kill him. He wasnt growing weak like he knew he would if he didnt find a meal, but he was starting to feel...out of control. Which was a Very bad thing. "Would you Like to Hunt with me tonight, Mrs....." Stopping his sentence he looked suggestively at the women, hoping to receive at least a name from her.

Sonia laughed and crossed her arms. "I wonder if there is a way to burn that one from my memory. If not I'm going to have nightmares for sure." She laughed about her thought before looking at the other vampire. She looked him over and watched him sniff the air. Tilting her head she watched his face more closely.

"Please. Just call me Sonia." She flashed a smile that she had practiced for years. The smile was warm yet cold and dangerous. It had worked on so many poor humans years before but she didn't expect him to react any different. "And what shall I call you?"

"Seiren, that's a very beautiful name- interesting. I'm Caine. Caine Lovell." Why green? Why, indeed? He chuckled and shrugged. "I'm not sure. I guess just because I've always been told it looks good on me, ever since I was a child. Why pigtails in your hair?" he asked with a grin, now turning the tables.
The restaurant was still approximately a block away.

Jasper Nodded at the Name, taking a Particular liking to this Vampire."A Very Beautiful Name, M'lady" Of Course he had Nothing to Fear, Talking to An Stranger Wasnt Fearful. He could Easily overpower a Human and Most vampires had an unspoken respect of each other. "Jasper" His words were growing a bit louder as time went by, Habit of talking to humans he supposed. "Now For the Hunt..". He hadnt even finished his thought when he spotted a rather scantily clad female getting into an argument with a male who had taken interest in her. These Sorts always ended up stomping away into the darkness, where they became the perfect target for vampires and humans alike. He eyed her closely, knowing that eventually Sonia would spot her too.

"Why thank you, kind sir." Sonia smiled. "Well. It is nice to meet you Jasper." Yawning again, she scanned the crowd before looking back at Jasper. Following his gaze, she spotted the girl that Jasper was watching. "And what exactly is your game plan on this? The both of us together will scare the girl." Sonia had seen arguments like this before and the girl "Stupid stupid girl.." always walked off by herself. Shaking her head she looked back at Jasper then to the girl. "Oh well..I'll have to eat sometime."

Jasper Eye her carefully before turning his gaze back to Sonia."Just Drive her into seclusion," His voice was soft and slightly a growl, as he was already in the hunting stage. His eyes glazed slightly and tinted red, but not noticably. Slowly he began to step forwards, keeping the female in sight at all time. She was already doing his job for him, separating herself from all humans, and unknowingly, from all chances of survival.

bic: Viviane wandered along the streets silently. Her pale white eyes scanned her surroundings as she walked along the sidewalks. They were hidden behind her sunglasses as she looked down, not even paying attention to where she was going any longer. She hated the way people stared at her. Even in a place like New Orleans, she was still looked like as a freak. As she wasn't paying attention, she ended up running into Caine. She fell down and landed on her butt, her sunglasses coming off.

She looked up at him for a moment, her white eyes bright like they usually were. "Do forgive me,'' she said softly. Her voice was always meager, soft, and cute. And she hated it. She took her sunglasses and put them back on then stood up. Her black, straight, sleek hair fell into her face before she brushed it away, revealing her necklaces. She hated that she had to speak the first word, but she had run into him and it was the right thing to do, even if she was a vampire.

Hitosake lifted up his head, staring around this new area he found himself in. New Orleans... this was a new place. He supposed that next time he should purchase for himself a map so that when he traveled he wouldn't find himself, ultimately, lost. His brows furrowed in distaste. Lost was a foreign word in his mind. Hito was never lost. He was always sure of himself, sure of himself in his background, sure of himself in his present state, sure of himself in his killings.

He brushed shaggy black hair away from his forehead impatiently with one hand, revealing eyes of a dangerously glinting sea-green. His black jacket had seen better days and was now torn in various places. The navy-blue t-shirt he wore underneath it had been washed and sun-dried so many times that it was no longer the dark, rich color, but a much paler blue. It, too, had seen better days, and though not as torn as the jacket, it was still a sorry looking sight. His jeans had long since faded in color and sported tears in the knees. The edges had become so frayed that at some point in time (he couldn't quite remember when) he had cut it away, making them more like shorts. His sneakers were coated in mud, and attached to his left wrist was a metal box, made of cold steel with a red button that repeatedly flashed, much to his annoyance. It was a... gift... from his previous spot of residence, one that he had no intention of ever going back there, after demolishing it.

He smirked. It served them right, those scientists. They had wanted a killing machine and so they had gotten one. Of course, it wasn't like they could have celebrated it for long... each of them had met rather gruesome ends and Hito was rather glad to kiss the place goodbye after he had figured out how to control his killing state. Or try to, at least. He only had a relative grip on his new vampiric body. "So... welcome to New Orleans it is, then," he mused, tucking his hands into his pockets. New Orleans... he'd try and make a new beginning for himself here, if he could.

Si was not entirely thrilled with New Orleans. She had always wanted to see bigger places, places with significantly more... natural splendors. Like the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon was nice.

New Orleans was too crowded for her taste. One would think that with an increased density of people it would be easier to feed, but the reality of the fact was that she spent days, weeks even, picking a target and then staging everything to make said target's death appear like an accident, since she wasn't blessed with the skills of finding the easier pickings, so to say. It was tiring, and by the time she did get to feed, she never wanted to see another human ever again in her lifetime. Not to mention the fact that her fangs were so small that you couldn't even see them without opening her mouth wide (as in what the dentists' want you to), so feeding became all the more difficult.

On the plus side, she supposed that at least now she knew how to thwart the human police. Her small fangs made her incision marks look like tick marks, so the police generally didn't immediately point to the 'vampire' conclusion. Fate was kind, on the occasion.

Blue eyes scanned the area as she stepsided the crowd of humans, ignoring the rushing of the blood under their skins that she could hear, the pounding of those hearts that she could feel. Her long silvery-blond hair had been put into braids for today, and she wore a light blue sweatshirt, despite the warm weather. Her apparel was completed by a miniskirt and leg warmers, a size too big for her so that they slipped over her ankles, and sneakers. A blue butterfly hair-clip sat proudly atop her head.

There was a group of people up ahead of her, and curious, she padded forward. "Hello!" she said cheerfully, smiling brightly. "I hope that you wouldn't find me too rude to just pop into your conversation. I'm Si."

OOC//
Bleh... uber long and super sucky.
But their my favorite vampire characters, so's I'm happy.

And feel free to tell me if I messed up anywhere. I have no idea where some of these characters are besides 'New Orleans' and that would be very general. =)

Caine immediately took a small step back to inspect the girl for any damage before catching her scent: soft, sickeningly sweet- like decay. Vampire. He smiled. "Are you alright, my dear?" he asked.
He really wanted another cigarette, but for Seiren's sake, would not light one up. Instead, he occupied his long fingers by twisting and untwisting a few long strands of his hair.

Sonia took out the pack of cigarettes from her pocket to see how many were left. Taking one and lighting up. "So.." she blew smoke." you want us...to. Say. Corner her?" Sonia shrugged and puffed on the cig. "Lead the way dear sir, since you hunt here more often than I. Show me how it's done around here." She smirked and blew the smoke out of her nose once again.

Viviane looked the man over. She knew instantly that he was a vampire because of the scent that he carried. Her face blank, she simply nodded her head. "I am fine, thank you though,'' she said even softer. If it wasn't for the way she dressed, she'd seem so innocent. Even with the style she wore, she seemed surprisingly innocent and fragile, especially when she spoke.

Her eyes flicked about, watching the humans that passed her. She could sense other vampires around her, but she didn't care. Even as a vampire I seem so innocent. It sickens me she thought, looking at him. I seem so fragile, not what I'm going for. I'm a killer, but I seem like I need someone to protect me. How does that work exactly? she wondered.

Honestly, Caine the thought that this girl needed a protector never crossed his mind. She was a killing machine and could most likely hold her own against just about anything. He was simply brought up in a time in which ladies were ladies and men respected them as such.
"If you're hungry, The Dungeon might be a good place to check out. It may be a bit crowded tonight, but I can guarantee that the eating is good." The Dungeon was a Goth bar that Caine, himself, frequented simply because so many of the patrons were willing blood donors, in love with the romantic idea of vampires. Unfortunately, their willingness seemed to drain away during the meal. The bar was just a few blocks more down Bourbon.

Viviane just looked at Caine. Her face was blank still. "I know of the Dungeon, I have been there before. They seem to like me there,'' she said with an exasperated sigh. "Not the brightest of people really. They tend to think I'm one of them, not what I really am,'' she said softly. I swear, I am going to kill my vocal chords she thought with a small growl.

"Well, I can see that you're busy. I'll take my leave now,'' she said with a slight shrug. Brushing herself off a bit, she started to walk forwards. Then, she stopped and leaned against a wall, pulling out a notebook and pencil. She started to scribble down another poem, her eyes locked on the page.

Caine hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say, and then shrugged. "Vaguely," he responded. It wasn't an outright lie. He had seen the female vampire around the quarter a few times, but he never really paid any attention to her.
The air smelled thickly of vampires. They were out in multitudes tonight. He wasn't sure why. As far as he knew, it wasn't a holiday, was it? Well, perhaps it was. He had lost track of time after so many years. He now just knew day and night. "Do you happen to know today's date?" he asked his companion.
