I heard that this idea has been floating around the site for a long time. While I thought my idea was new, it was pointed out to me that similar ideas/colors have been requested since "about forever" -- by you. I started this board to see if there was any interest, or if I was alone in my thinking. If I'm not alone and there is a lot of excitement about the idea, I want to know what the next step is. If I am alone, I want to know what my options are. I know what I want ultimately, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to get it for people who are interested. I did this to start a discussion and to get information. As I've said, I'm relatively new to Subeta and not sure of how things work. Any information and/or insight I can get is appreciated.

In terms of actually getting an official color, it's going to be a long wait, if it will happen at all. Like others have suggested, if you really really like your own idea and really want it on a pet soon/now, you should opt for a custom pet overlay. There's code to add to your customCSS to actually change the pet picture on every page that pet's picture shows up, not just its pet profile.

I'm with you on this. I'd love a pet colour to resemble a patronus from Harry Potter. It would be lovely. :3

Patronus is a great description! I hadn't thought of it that way before. The more I think about it, the more I like it!

It would be brilliant if there were loads of other people who like the idea as much as we do. I'm hoping it catches on ^_^

So far the feedback has been mostly positive. The problem will be actually getting one. I've tried asking a few people to do an overlay, but they're too busy to take on new projects. Will keep looking, but in the meantime I'm trying to teach myself how to do it. I'm not a very good student.
