I don't care for the girlie style of the color choices you mentioned. Aside from the lack of color, I like the "wispy" feeling.

Daydream is actually not a bad idea, though the way I imagine them they'd probably be conceptually too similar to Spectrum.

I've always liked this idea since I'm not interested in the Angelic pets at all. Too cute. Though I agree that your could overlay a nightmare pet, but that doesn't mean we can't have a new colour for this. If we put an overlay on everything, we'd never have new pet colours.

I'd like it if they were more wispy in appearance, and not entirely solid. The head and most of the body could be solid, per se, and then have the feet fade into a mist or a vapor, and disappear. The same thing would apply to pets with manes, the mane could be solid and tangible closest to the pet's head and then fade into mist or vapor at the ends. Or, you could instead have the feet covered in wisps or a cloud-like substance. Daydreaming is sort of like saying someone's on cloud nine or that they have their head in the clouds, isn't it? Neutral expressions would be nice too, or even a distant look as if their attention is... elsewhere.

Also, rather than grey or white, I think they'd look cooler if they had a similar sheen to a soap bubble, mostly colorless aside from some light color sheen where the light hits. Or if they had to be white, I'd like them similar to an opal. It's kind of the same concept only white with pale color reflections.

Yeah Im with I love afterlife as an idea. Its nothing like angelic as angelic is light purple/with wings. To me afterlife would be ghostly. Transparent, whispy like the nightmare has, not frightening and angry, just gone. I want one so bad :U

What you say about the extremities sort of fading away is exactly what I imagine! I'd love a pet with a neutral expression. I like your idea of them looking off in the distance. I think that's a great way to avoid going "cutesy".
I think "ghostly" is a good description. It'd be so much fun!

I'm not that great at drawing pets but I have two ideas in mind. When I get home from work I'll scribble something up. One for daydream and one for spectral/afterlife.

[edit] Since, to me daydream would be the opposite of nightmare whereas afterlife would be the opposite of the graveyard/undead pets.

When i try to draw anything it's a disaster. Even my stick people look seriously disturbed! : ( I'm sure what you do will be fine. We often undervalue our own work.

Well, I tried. Here is my interpretation of a daydream Archan, at least in lines. The pose was referenced off of the Darkmatter Archan since I felt the Darkmatter had the general pose I imagine, only the daydream one would be more spaced out and sort of sitting there with it's paw on its chin/cheek.

- yes!!! I would love it if we could pick the eye color. Sometimes a pet is perfectly colored but the eyes are just not right (for me), so changing them would be awesome!

What if elixirs were reusable? You could change how your pet looks as often as you feel like it!

- now if elixirs were reusable then they would be worthless, so that would greatly affect the economy. I would not be happy about that change (and probably nobody else would be either). however, there could be a new item created that costs upwards of 1000CSC or something that acted like an unlimited elixir that could not be traded or sold. That would be cool.
