We understand that a lot of users can't purchase CSC directly from the cash shop, either because of the economy or because they just don't have the ability to. That's why last year we started accepting the <a href=http://ultimategamecard.playspan.com/>Ultimate Gaming Card</a>!

Now, we're offering <a href=http://subeta.net/cashshop.php?act=offers>Sponsor Deals</a> which are as simple as watching an advertisement, for a few Cash Shop Credits. Like it says on the page, make sure to read the fine print below the advertisement, and always use your best judgement before giving out personal information! If you are worried about your personal information, you can read about the company that we've partnered with <a href=http://techcrunch.com/2010/03/21/truste-places-privacy-seal-of-approval-on-virtual-currency-platform-gwallet/>here</a>.

This would be a good idea, but as you said the economy is down and I myself am not buying anything online (as many of these are buy this, get CSC) BUT it's a good thing for people who do shop at the places you have listed. I am sure many people will be able to use this.

To the comment: Why don't you just go to a library and do them if you're worried about viruses?

Working at a public library, our computers tend to restrict the ability to download and install. Not sure if all libraries around the states do so, but I'd rather not want to worry about people putting 'virii' and spyware on our computers

It is good but I don't trust half the things and when I tried one...I still haven't got the credit...this is somewhat pointless and depressing.

How long does it take some offers to uptake? Like, when it says with submission of correct contact info... I did that on an offer I was actualy interested in and got a confirmation e-mail from the site that they got my info, but no CSC?

"I don't understand the Disney ad. Spend a minimum of $10.00 there and get only 24 CSC here? When $10 here gets you 1k CSC?" - Moirae

You'll get $10 worth of Disney stuff -- just like buying from a store. The 24 CSC is just an added bonus. Granted, it's not a particularly extravagant amount but it might be appealing to those who would have bought Disney items anyway.

This is now the 3rd site that I belong to that uses this service and I can't say that I'm a fan of it at all. I can't afford CSC very often, but I don't like this idea very much either. Most of the time, the funds never come through. shrug

I think it's admirable that such a huge site has lasted THIS long without a single 3rd party advertisement splashed across our pages! It makes sense to gain support from other companies and personally, I'm very grateful that the staff have obviously gone to great effort to make sure they can get funding from advertisements, without the actual ads all over the site. Major kudos to the staff! I think this is a great idea (exercised with caution, mind you) for those who are not as financially well-off to gain a leg-up here. Thank you staff for another great feature!

Oh and I've also been interested in trying out Gamefly for quite a while now so it would be awesome to get CSC on top of that!

Lord, all Anon has to do is purchase an ad space and the entire Subeta userbase who uses this service could be screwed. It's a fantastic idea for all those who want to and can participate, but I'm staying the heck away from it. Anything that gives a potential weak hole in security is not something I'm going to play around with. I'll buy and sell through the regular market like always.

I'm not sure how to feel about this. I never trust sponsor links that require a download or personal information, and I'm worried that this might foreshadow advertisements on Subeta. Of course, it is a nice way to get free CSC for those who can't afford it. I might try the Facebook one later.

I am curious on how these sponsors are chosen. Are they screened at all by the staff?

Stop bitching about how this will ruin the price of CSC. This is available to everybody, and if you dont' think it's fair that you spend $10 and someone else gets it free, then don't spend the ten bucks and fucking do the ads yourself!

I agree that this is a smart idea by Keith, they can still make money off of CSC so they can pay their employees, we just dont' have to pay. I'll just keep doing offers for 25 CSC untill I can get my chance bag. 8)

I think it's great as long as you use your good judgment and common sense. If something seems strange or too good to be true, it probably is. Be careful with downloads. Also, younger users, remember to ASK your parents before you give out YOUR/THEIR info, also. I know my parents would have killed me if something they had no idea about came up on their bills, or whatever else, and I was the reason. Just a reminder. xD

I will continue to buy them. I never use these things on sites that offer them, but it's awesome for users who can't get CSC. c:

Oh, and an update for those who are afraid people will stop donating and it will lead to a ring of selling out...

Have a little more faith in Keith. And for the love of God, thats coming from me. o_o;; He has promised many things, and failed miserably at most, but... the one thing, the one thing he remains true to is never selling out. I have full faith in him in this regard.

This is a great opportunity for Subeta to pull in more money and distribute more benifits to those who would love to donate but cant quite. They go through these companies, who pay for the space on Subeta. You dont have to go through the companies if you have the money... But we all dont, and the site needs a little more money love if its to continue providing all the great staff it does. Subeta is a business. It is a business with financial needs that need to be met.

I would never go for any of the ones that require entering your credit card or anything. But, it's a nice option for people who can't actually buy CSC.

But, no one says anyone HAS to use these to obtain CSC. And that's why Keith has warned you to READ THE FINE PRINT. I think it's people's own fault if they end up with a virus because they weren't paying attention.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Rabbit_788

Okay. It seems Keith is actually doing his homework on this issue, and isnt just all: "K heres a new feature BAI." I think he's really working hard on this, and really putting forth an effort to make it a bit more fair to IRL poor people. It is a lot of work for a few credits, it seems, which means that the credits wont go crazy with the inflation. Half of you wont remember what this feature is next week, the other half will be too lazy to use it. A few may play with it in therr spare time.

For once I am completely with Keith. He's trying to do something for the site without selling out. If you dont like it. Dont use it. Use common sense, and dont do anything youre not comfortable with. Some seem sketchy, but it is not the sights responsibility to babysit you or "the children." Quite frankly if there are any of "the children" on Subeta, those under age who ignored those oh so important terms and conditions, or those who dont know about dirty scammers, you have a serious parenting fail on your hands. This is not the responsibility of Subeta.

Keith is giving a good opportunity for those willing to work a little, and keep thier wits about them. But if you dont like this sort of thing, simple solution.
