Wow, I love how immature some of you are being. This new art is absolutely wonderful. It was a MUCH needed update. And yet you all bash it just because the pose changes? Because it looks different? You scream out 'OMG IT SO UGLE IM GOING 2 CHANGE IT NAO!!1!' I don't care if you hate it. If you don't like it, you can say so in a mature manner. Don't fling it in the artist's face, of whom probably took days (maybe longer) to draw this.

Stop acting like spoiled 4 year olds when you don't get what you want.

Hikeis were polled. Hydrus wasn't, but the specie was polled.

I think no one will ever complain about the quality of the art. But that does not mean everyone likes that their pets change.

I agree with Javada. People, be nice. Geez. The artists work very hard to get things drawn like this, and I doubt that 99.9% of you all could draw it better, let alone get it to look like Subeta's quality. No offense or anything-- I'm just being dead serious.

I think this looks rather nice, despite some errors. Someone's always gotta complain though about anything. I really love the angle of the head. Very nicely executed.

green_iris - they never made polls for certain color revamps, "only" for whole species revamps and that's more than other sites would ever offer in my opinion. ^^;

Well, apparently no one can give mature crit about this other than "it's ugly now I have to change my pet!" goddamn guys I'm sure the artist'll love to see that. If you're going to say something about how you don't like it, just don't go OMG IT'S UGLY I WANT THE OLD ONE BACK. make some nice critique. The artist has feelings just like you, so you know.

Hmmm... the pose looks a little squished and awkward, and the front half doesn't look very equine. Not digging the expression and the pointy beak too much either. The old one, while the artwork was a tad outdated, had a much stronger pose.

This is gorgeous. Way better than the old! There's so many things I love: the seaweed & pearls tails, the cute little hip starfish, the unicorn-esque horn, and the beautiful blue eyes. I think I need one!

Aww...you changed my favorite pet. I'll have to get used to this new look...I think I'm in shock at the change right now (not necessarily a bad thing). It's rather odd to have your dream pet redrawn.

I'm going to be frank - I really don't like this. The teeth scare me, and the non-existant second back leg really annoys me. The art is nice, but all that really turns me off to this revamp :/.

I still see the version I had when I made mine... but if this three legged version is the new one that I found on another site them my Hikei will not be around for much longer either. I way prefer the 4 legged version

I wish this had kept the pose/atmosphere of the old hydrus hikei, but as I no longer have one I guess I can't really complain

If anyone needs the overlay code so that they can put the old image over the new one, drop me a line and I'll help you out

No way. I DO NOT like it, and I have a hydrus hikei too. Poor BeloDrama is not gonna be a hydrus hikei for much longer now. Soon as I figure out what to change her to, this look is gone.
