I have to say I like the new style that is being used with the revamps. I find this one to be very angry and emotionally unstable, However masculine as though calling to the person to challenge it. The only thing I find odd about it, is the missing leg which could simply be thrown in within the empty space between the front limbs and the single hind leg. All in all, Beautiful new piece. Keep the revamps coming!! <3

I don't really care for it. While I appreciate the changes, and love the tail, it's so masculine and angry looking. I liked the other one because it was very feminine and cute, and added well to my diverse pets. It reminds me of an angry bodybuilder on 'roids to a degree, lol. I suppose her name can be used for a Glade pet as well, so I'll be saving for that.

Just changed my hydrus hikei to angelic. I just couldn't get used to the revamp. :/

I love it! I think it's really great. I like how the tail looks on this one and how it fits the hydrus theme better. hugs her Eoos I worked really hard to get a hydrus pet, and the hikei version was my favorite!

I LOVE the rich colours, the starfish, the pearls and the toss of the head. I don't like the back leg being so clawy (I wasn't too fond of the old back legs either lol) or the mouth and I'm a bit puzzled about the fact that there are only 3 legs. I really like where the artist was going with the look and I'm going to keep my hikei hydrus for a while to see if I start to like the elements I'm not too fond of now.

Honestly this looks a bit awkward and...pained xD I think the softer color palette of the older version was nicer, as well as the closed mouth.

I love it!

My only problem with it is the fact that it looks like it's missing a leg, and it's bottom jaw is a tad bit sharp.

But other than that I love it! I may create a pet just so I can have one!

I personally think this is fabulous. The missing hind leg bothers me a little, but overall it's a great revamp. If I got a hikei, it'd probably be hydrus. And some of you point out the bottom jaw looking weird?

I think it looks like a dolphin/porpoise/whale jaw, personally, and it goes with the hydrus/aquatic theme.

Has anyone else noticed that its only got 3 legs? Maybe staff are cutting back on costs. Pixels are SPENSIVE yanno!

I like it, except I feel the bottom jaw is a little too sharp. It makes it look like a bird beak a bit, imo.

I am sorry to kill any buzz - but this is so freaking disappointing to me and I now have yet another pet to potion. Would explain in part why I used to spend all my time here a year ago and why I come once or twice a week now but oh well right? I will just be flamed as a whiner I am sure. Use an OVERLAY for goodness sake!! It's not that big of a deal! O-V-E-R-L-A-Y! That way you can still have the old art wail keeping the art. It's going to be ok.

It's great, but I loved the old one. Despite the fact that this one is very lovely, it really strayed from the old design and what made that one great. Nevertheless, it's still a really well-done, clean design.

Incredibly expressive with GORGEOUS colouring. The face/head is BRILLIANT.. and the tails are SO nicely done. The Hydrus is probably one of my favourite Hikeis, now. C:

"things cant always stay the same even though we want em to at times." They could, actually. I mean those pixels wouldn't explode and wipe out the world if they don't get changed every 2 years or so. Not that I care about the hydrus hikei, just saying :X

actually, I realized I didn't like the old one either as much as I'd thought so I just changed mine to a montre instead of the same color
