Attention Internet Explorer Users! There is a serious flaw in all modern versions of Internet Explorer, which opens up the chance of your personal information being stolen.

This is not an error with Subeta, or any website. This is a problem with the programming itself that allows malicious code to take advantage of your computer, and install malicious software, that could steal the information that you use for your banking, paypal, or other highly personal information.

You can find information about this here, here and here is a link to google news, with Internet Explorer as the keyword so you can get up to date news on the bug itself.

Also, I want to tell you that having a firewall does not prevent this from affecting you. Most virus scanners (unless this is used to maliciously place a known keylogger on your system) will not be able to help you in this situation. The best way to fix this problem is to get rid of the software that is causing it.

Now, I'm not asking you to switch to another browser. I highly advise that you move to another browser, not only because this is a very critical problem, but because the other browsers are just better. They use less memory, they are less bloated, and most importantly, if there is a critical flaw, the other major browsers are very quick to issue a patch and correct the problem. We are not being paid by either the Mozilla Foundation, or the Safari Team (or Opera, or flock to ask you to switch browsers. I simply care about you, our users, and don't want to see your private information stolen, or used against you.

The browser I suggest looking into are Firefox or Safari.

Doing a little research on all the major browsers is probably in your best interest.

I still have IE but I use Firefox more than anything now since its faster and doesnt freeze for a few seconds when its loading up. Only thing I use it for is stuff like Youtube when its messing up or something else that requires it. Plus neopets to a point. But I don't think still having IE is going to be a problem just using it right?

Does it cost $ if you have two internet things (example: IE and Safari) and IE is your main but you use Safari?

I remember when Firefox first came out, lots of people were advising us to switch because they said that IE would soon be overridden with viruses and issues. It took a few years, but now it's happened! (Lucky thing I switched... I never use IE anymore anyway. xD)

I frankly am glad that I use Firefox over IE. I switched over last year if I'm not correct. Anyway, should people who still have the program delete it?

Yeah, I noticed that lately my virus scan had been coming up with tracking cookies and whatnot when I was using IE, even when I was just visiting the common sites I go to everyday and never give me trouble. :/ Oh well, I already had downloaded Firefox and just added Safari because Firefox is a bit weird on my computer.

People who simply won't change to a better browser for stupid reasons.

IE is a piece o' crap program. The FREE browsers out there, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc, are superior in every way. I've been using Firefox for about four years, and I've NEVER had a problem with it, and it comes with plenty of benefits.

Wow! Bitching because someone pointed out a serious flaw in one of the most used browsers, great way to thank the warning we were given. -rolls eyes-

Goodness, I hope there's a better response to this public service announcement than last time. Subeta isn't getting PAID to endorse another browser.

Ugg.. I told my mom about this and she got mad at me saying she was safe cause she had a firewall. I don't think there would be a big deal about this if firewalls could protect you.. Well.. I'm just glad I use Fire Fox... x.x

Firewalls don't prevent virus getting in...

And if you're just going to whine about how Firefox didn't work for you last time, get Safari, or hell, even Opera or Google Chrome.
