To be a sea type turtle, it's shell needs to be a tad flatter. It almost looks like a tortoise shell. Maybe we could have a turtle species and a tortoise species? Otherwise, I like the face and gems in the shell!
Awesome! Props to the artist(s).
The only thing that bothers me is the face/nose. It's so large rounded that it looks almost ridiculous, and the shading makes it look very flat. I don't think it should stick off the face so much.
I loooove this. XD Omg. NEVER would have though Keshi did it; I thought it was Jag's work until I saw Nestly's post. The only 'iff' I have about it is that the gem in the middle of its shell looks too sunk into it.
...but who cares? This is totally fantastic.

It looks absolutely fabulous! It makes me want a Chelon now.
The thing is,The bulge on the cheek bothers me ,along with bits of the face.
I love how the artists are taking a more realistic approach with some of the pets, instead of a cartoonish version.
The only problem I have with this desgin, is the stones on the shell look a bit to sunk in. And one of the back flippers is smaller then the other
Also .... maybe you could try a version where the front legs are longer like a sea turtles?
I do love the body, but something about its face kind of throws me off.

The shell's shading on the top makes it sort of look indented. o-o;

another thing that came too mind after reading other comments. i dont think it should be so elaborate in the details with the colour. Not everyone can appreciate that. You should move towards more of a cartoony effect.
Afterall simplicity staisfies more people.

i think it looks old which i dont mind but if most users here kids theyd probably want something more cuter.
It could be a little rounder, bigger eyes and voila instant cute effect!
I also think it needs a more original personality. Maybe you can make it look like its splashing up from the sea and turning to see us and give us a smile.
Maybe you could also go for a helpless and give it a gargantuan shell with a small body and struggling to carry its shell. It could look more cute this way which is always attractive to younger users.
I love the name change, by the way. 
Anyway, I don't really like how -old- the new Chelon looks. On the other hand, I love the work on the gems and facial structure of it. The eye change is also a nice change (I like how they now stand out against the blue skin).
Overall, I'm just with the majority of others on how I'd like to see it look a bit more young and playful like it used to look.
The biggest thing that bothers me is how the shell is almost vertical, but its face is still facing the viewer almost head-on, making the connection between the head and neck look VERY unnatural. Also, that dark line of shading that acts as a continuous line between the top of the head and the jawline is unnecessary, in my opinion. There are more natural shading methods to distinguish head from neck.
I also agree that the shell plates are a tad bit too heavily shaded, as are the dark blue spots on the legs and head. It makes them all look too... bubbly?
And the half-closed, slanted eyes do change the personality and overall impression of the pet quite a bit. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, but it would probably put off a lot of people.

Love the name, but it's kinda lost the bright eyed look it had. Now tis kinda...serious? More turtle like? Or is that a good thing?

I love this. To me it finally looks more like a real turtle type pet rather than a comic one. I like the way the details just pop out at you. However I do agree that the gems look a bit too 'deep' and the shadows would look better a little lighter. It's almost as if it's under a harsh spotlight.
As a minor suggestion you could always put a border around the plates of the shell (like a regular turtle, they are just scales on regular skin after all) to get rid of that 'sunken in' look that people are talking about. Just a suggestion though. :O Now I'm off to eat so I'll stop being badgery.
I absolutely adore the new look [= I think the expression is fine the way it is. If it looked too happy it would make it hard for roleplayers to come up with their own personality for it. And, it has the cutest little nose <3
A tad off topic, but still related to revamps, I cannot wait to see the redone Aerie and redrawn Serpenth. I hope the polls come back soon xD

I agree with most about the shell shading. The shading is a bit too dramatic. Perhaps lighten the shading, it won't look so bumpy.

I can't say it isn't a huge leap in the right direction, but something about the revamp just looks... off, somehow. Maybe it's the shell - I think the perspective on it looks less oblique than the rest of the body - not to mention the severity of the shading makes it look like it'd be incredibly lumpy, whereas a sea turtle's ought to be more streamlined.
I prefer the older image opposed to the new one. The pattern on the shell on the new one doesn't seem very appealing to me. I like the gems, but the crevices seem too deep and I prefer the soccerball-like pattern rather than the new one. I also am not a fan of the things around the shell. I don't know why, but it just doesn't look too nice to me. :/ I do like the face on the new one, however. I think it fits with the newer style that Subeta seems to be making. My last problem with the pet is that it looks very old. Perhaps that was the intent, but I like a younger looking pet, but I guess that's what the Chibi potion is for.
Oh, one other small thing. The jaw on the face looks a little um...wonky? It's just out of proportion. The left and right cheek don't match up properly, and if the face were turned or centered, the jaw wouldn't align right. Might just be me noticing that, though. Besides that, it looks very nice.
I actually really like it's face. I think it still looks friendly., but in less of a "lol let's go watch barney and play legos!!!11" way.
But Turdle is easier to spell! pouts I do like the revamp though, but I miss the cute appeal it had. That seems to have been taken away with the revamp. Still, beautiful art.

Hmm...not sure if I like the name change OR the revamp.
Not too bad at all, The only thing is I really don't like is the angle, it's like he's balancing on his chin. I'd prefer a less dynamic tilt, tho not a full side. I also agree that something about the face could change, but overall very nice!
Overall very nice. The perspective on the shell seems a bit off for the way it's leaning, but other than that, excellent.
I agree it's too mean looking and I dunno, it looks ugly to me (not the drawing cause it is well done, but the animal itself). Plus I have a girl turdle and this revamp is just too masculine looking to fit it. Please make it smiling!
