As for the Mortiking, well, I really loved the old one. But the new one is also fantastic. ^^

Haha, the certainty of the BR Mortiking revamp is why I forced myself not to get it. But tbh it's not as bad as I expected. Fair enough the old didn't look exactly like a Mortiking, but seriously, who cares? I can't really think of a reason other than "looking cool" as the only reason to get a pet, even how cold it sounds. The old one made people happy. I know people will probably argue with what I say but I very much doubt much of you would get a pet that "looked bad" to you, unless it has some sentimental reason.. but.. dino.. xD Anyway. As I said, the newer one doesn't look half bad. Just the feetz. ._.
As for the Velo, love it. Looks nuts
The reason most of you are not too keen on it is probably because of the colour. A lot easier to pick out the bad details as apposed to the last two that have came out. And if anyone has actually tried to draw a posing raptor you'll know have freaking hard it is.

Velosotor is, as always, wonderful. Excellent job. The expression is full of win. I cant actually describe it properly in my mind. Its like someone really sinister being told to smile for once.
As the for the Mortiking, the new version has wonderful art, and definatly looks more bloody.
However the tail looks just that tad bit off to me. Also, i loved its original pose, and i do wish it was kept like that. The original pose made it look like the mortiking had more control over its desires, and plotted, while now its just "RARRR I EAT YOU!" without any prior thinking. But its still a major improvement on the old version (I can only see one leg on the old version for some reason XD)

I think these revamps look amazing, honestly, but I kinda miss my Velosotor...I choose her for her previous cute-kind-and-everything-look, and now her expression looks a litte bit weird -.- but I'll put up with it, I guess...

BTW, I decided I'm going to turn Solamar into a BR Dragarth.
I am not so keen on the Spectrum Velosotor as the other new releases. It just seems odd somehow.

I made the blood stripes because they were on the ORIGINAL one (which you can see, as someone posted the old version farther down in these very comments). Because I thought, y'know. I'd be nice enough to try and keep that concept for the revamp.

And by the way, for all of you people saying the old BR Mortiking was horrible because it just had red stripes, I HAPPENED TO LIKE THAT. I admit, you did a fine job on the new BR Mortiking, but it is NOTHING like the old one.

Darn it! Another of my prettyful pets revamped 
First my adorable sheeta, now my awesome mortiking I liked my pets the way they were they fitted thier names, looked good, now they dont
i dont have anything against the new looks, i think they look awesome, i just wish they would give a warning as to when another pet is going to get revamped, so i have a back up that fits with thier name im really disapointed that its happened to 2 of my pets recently

I'm somewhat disappointed by the BR Mortikings revamp. Not only is it fat (something I hate to begin with) but in comparison to it's lil Velosotor cousin, it's about as scary/vicious as classic Godzilla. And what is going on with it's left foot? Are it's claws ingrown?
the revamp is awesome but still... i prefer the "old" mortiking

The old one had a more sophisticated killer feel, this one is just "KILL MAIM DESTROY"

"Need" isn't based on opinion, normally. We all sit, we discuss what traits are part of a species, we check and see what's missing, if a particular color looks enough like the species, what needs changing if not, etc. Sometimes it's a unanimous vote of "holy crap, this old pet is atrocious", sometimes it's more of a "perhaps we should adjust this". It really depends.
(I don't believe the BR demi needs to be revamped. It's really new, and fits the species perfectly. )
And the number of pets an artist has is widely variable--it depends upon who's best for what job, really. Some artists have one or two species, and some have more than six or seven.
the velosoraptor (lolz) has kind of a long neck looking thing, but it's still cute. and i'm not disappointed by the new BR mortiking! nice.

If something needs revamping, it will be revamped. That is our new pledge, because we can't ignore old/bad/desperately out of date art anymore, just because it will upset a few people who've grown attached.
If a pet matches the newer versions, it's fine. So that's your guidelines on whether to think something will be updated soon or not. We decide based on comparing all of a pet's colors, visually.
I can't say any more than that, as that would be spoiling what is next.
They both look great, but honestly, when I saw them, I thought they were the same species - and I would still think so if it weren't for the description.
I can't tell if the Velosotor is doing the Charleston or the peepee dance. Nice cleavage, though.
I thought Arbor was the artist for that pet? Was it handed over recently? (Not complaining, just making sure I wasn't mistaken.)
Ah I'm glad I never made Tattooist into the BR Mortiking as I had planned to. The new one looks absolutely stunning but it doesn't fit the personality I had planned for her ^^ I may make one of my other pets into one though, I like how muscular it looks ;D
