A new trivia question has been added!

This is easy ![]()
(at least I hope I got it right...)
Wow, alot of negative comments! I myself got it wrong by my 1st comment. I have never in my life heard of a thing called 'text decoder' and I am an adult. Its called "Trivia" and also luck in some cases. I am not mad I got it wrong, I actually learned something i've never heard of so I win some sort of prize, knowledge
We can't win them all so give the staff a break!
Oh darn I forgot about answering the last trivia...
Drat I did try and google the last one.. but didnt know about the decoder.. thanks for telling us how it was to be done.. I thought it too was a pretty cool trivia!
This is a very cool question.. I will have to think about this one..
Ooooh, I hope I get this one right. That Gelatinous Nightling would be so perfect for my jelly-themed Dilemma's minion or treasure box...
I think I know the answer, but I'm not quite 100% sure on my formatting. DNA, are you allowed to tell us whether or not capitalization matters?
daww, if only I put in another hour I could have found something to help with that darn code thingy.
Ah whatever...I'll just wait for a easy one to come around again someday lol
The reason I went with the English version and not code for the answer is because special characters have messed up trivia answers in the past and figured the answer wouldn't have a = in it.
I'm sorry, but your answer of q3vyc2vkifblbmnpba== for the trivia was incorrect.
Great.. ask a question in base64.. get an answer in base64... and thats wrong how?????
So not only do all the rules get bent but we were supposed to divine that you didn't want the answer in the language the question was written in...
And as for you snippy comments about how you're the president... that kind of god complex is why I don't play on other petsites... Very nice job.

It seems a lot of you know how to get to their Answers site) and searched for 'text decoder' or anyone with a tad bit of coding knowledge 'string decoder', and you'd have had the answer in a number of minutes.
this will be an interesting one as the last one tried to make pudding of my cerebral cortex. i think i have this one.
That was defiantely an outside information needed format with a subeta related decifered question. The question should have stated that, and the format. Good thing I answered in English and not base64.
I loved the last trivia, even though I had no idea how to do it. XD I wanted to playset SOOOO bad, but honestly, the trivias would suck if they were all easy as cake and everyone got the prize.
There'd be no point; they might as well call it 'Free Gift: The Sequel!' This way, the prizes are actually worth the work put into solving the problem.
Plus, it's not like they're all like that. This one is more like a riddle, and I loooove riddles. c: It's nice to see varying styles and difficulties in the trivia.

"And you didn't have to be a programmer to answer the last one--guessing as to the nature of the question presented and googling..."
How -exactly- do you 'guess as to the nature' of something you have NEVER heard of? If you told people where to start looking, it certainly wasn't in plain view for ALL to see on the Trivia Question page. .
I miss DebiLee!! xD
I think I might know this one...but I'm not sure what to submit. ;P Does that mean I'm probably wrong? xD
I was just looking at something and an idea came to me I'm wondering if my thoughts are correct. If not I'm going to submit my idea. Anyway I have a fair idea of what it's talking about after loads of thinking.
I know theres no use crying over spilled milk so I'm not really biter about these trivias anymore but I'd still like to know if there will be another chance to get that Escalade Playset? =p
Wow, that last one was tricky, my brains on holiday and refuses to think. Its was quite clever though, i liked it.
I like trick-questions and that sort of thing, as when you find out the answer, its really obvious!
Anyway, this ones a bit easier, a relief to my poor brain. XP
got it right and still thought it was a silly trivia. ah well.
I think I'll spare my brain cells, wait and see the answer and then say, Aaaah, I see, like I usually do ![]()
The last one confused me soooo bad.
I was just like 'Screw it.' XD
But I got this one the first time I read it, but I read over it a couple of times just to make sure.
I'm pretty positive I'm right.
I knew it needed a decoder the second I saw it (experience with other trivia-types has taught me well). shrug Only part that bothered me was that it stretched off of the white part of the screen.
(I keed, I keed.) This next one is a right pain, though. Reminds me of that "greater than God, the poor have it, the rich want it," riddle. For whatever reason... XD Your kitty is very talented, Keith, to type up a valid question in programming code. ![]()
Nestly: Oooo, this style of Trivia is fun DNA. XD
I think I got the answer right, but only time will tell.
decoder? Ok that was waaay beyond me...but on the upside I'm glad I didn't spend more than half an hour looking, knowing I would have no clue.
Awww. Was my keyboard vomit not enough? xD I have a somewhat idea of this one though C:
aw, i guessed md5. :|
However, this new one was easy for me. For that, I am grateful. ![]()
Think I managed to puzzle out the latest one. Always some sort of controversy buzzing around the Trivia, isn't there?
I don't think it would have ever popped into my head to google programming codes. shrug And just googling the lengthy jumbled up mess doesn't get you anywhere. That's just me though?
decoder!?!
dang should have asked one of my IT friends
ehh oh well
this one tho I had to read a few times before getting my answer...
Flit - I don't understand how you expect to be my equal on my site. That's like wanting to be an equal to the president, while in the USA. I make the rules, I'm allowed to bend them. Get over it.
Regardless - this trivia was simple if you went to google (or Yahoo! It seems a lot of you know how to get to their Answers site) and searched for 'text decoder' or anyone with a tad bit of coding knowledge 'string decoder', and you'd have had the answer in a number of minutes.
While we're on the subject of equality, there are users who are under 10. So we should slim down the trivia's even further with easy questions [but keep the rare prizes, of course!] and keep the questions that be answered with under 10 minutes of work [Because, kids have to study for school and can't spend so much time on the internet.]
Life isn't fair - you will get some trivia's right, and you will get others wrong.
About 350, if I remember correctly.
And you didn't have to be a programmer to answer the last one--guessing as to the nature of the question presented and googling does wonders sometimes, you know. The question before was a simple matter of digging around for it; I even told you where to start looking. ![]()
I tried a geek decoder and it wouldn't decode it for me. Darn it to heck! stomps foot!

RuthieRox asked:
I heard in the PAST, Trivia questions could be from anything. On, or off, Subeta. Is this still true, or are Trivia questions now Subeta related ONLY?
Trivia questions are now Subeta-related only, so you have to know your way around the site to find them, instead of just using Google.

OK, I suspect that the staff will hide behind technicalities (apparently all having grown up under the Former Occupant of the White House and learned the lessons of "it all depends on what the definition of 'is' is" far too well), but it does seem a bit odd that we get an answer in an editorial telling us we're not going to have to google in order to answer a question, and with the last trivia one had to either be an initiate into the arcane mysteries of programming, or head offsite to use google.
The prior trivia is comparable to my posting a question about Subeta, but written in Latin and then the final copy produced via Leonardo's mirror-writing. Possible for some to figure out, but not with a level playing field.
I hope those responsible for the last two trivias will heed the users on this one and refrain from such posting more questions on this line. A challenge - great, love 'em; a trivia which is markedly unfair - nope, no place for 'em, IMHO.
Rant over.
Lovely poem, BUT I DON'T GET IT O__O
That was cruel. XD I would have NEVER thought to look at that.
This new trivia sounds like something I know, but can't find it. Grrr...
I've never heard of a decoder before. There was no chance I'd ever have gotten that last one. x-x I go on subeta and my role-playing site. I've never encountered that before. It's not really anything you can solve on your own or on Subeta. =/ Except the "?" I figured that out in my head. ![]()
How many people won the last one?
Hmm...I think I got this one.
I like the question, very poetic and mysterious.
I saved that coder thingy. I'm totally going to use it on all my friends, and laugh my head off when they think I'm speaking gibberish. 8D
evil!! How was I supposed to know that answer!! >.< I don't know the sites to figure out the code!!!! Oh, well, my answer of I Have No Clue Whatsoever was incorrect. Congrats to those who got it right!! mumbles Cursed Pencil... grrrr...
dude. stop whining. XD it's a trivia!
I'm sorry, but your answer of ? for the trivia was incorrect.
lol I never thought to try decoders... 0_o
Not sure on this one... ![]()
I never even attempted that last one
But I absolutely adore the prize for this one. I wish I had half a clue what the answer was off to continue searching
I literally googled b64 decoder and found one that was interactive.
that last trivia was confusing and i still got it wrong but oh well
How specific should we be with the answer for this one?
What is a decoder and where would anyone get one? Is that something online? Wierd.
Well, Keith is known for his uber-computer geek trivias with awesome prizes. Looking at past trivias is how I got the spark of an idea of how to do it. Look at Trivia GAH!
