Are you celebrating Diwali tonight? The Holiday Shop has a bunch of beautiful lamps and delicious goodies for you to share with your friends and family!

Yeah, it's frustrating. I keep peeking in shops and seeing lovely UBs and WL stuffies just sitting there, and I'm like.. GRRRR!

And it's a terrible tease to see all these beautiful new lamps and not be able to have them yet, but I'm glad they were released for this very beautiful and happy Divali holiday, and not just saved for a later and very inappropriate date.

As for after Halloween goodies... they released things like Leftover Peanut Butter Candies - which is actually a very common Real Life occurence and I thought it was hilariously appropriate to release items like that after Halloween.

I agree with you Adi. I've been reading some of the comments on here and the majority of them are down right rude. <.<; Its a site. I'm sure the programmers are trying their best to get things in order. Until that happens just go out in the fresh air or do something else productive. ._.

We all probably wouldn't be so annoyed by this normally, but right now Subeta is still randomly laggy despite the hardware upgrades, some peoples' GAs are expiring after a day instead of a month, quests haven't reset for two days, code words in shops haven't shown up for three days, HA deletion/remaking and pet training still take a few moments to register (plus the wardrobe stops working in IE randomly), and people using IE can't read the forums or use trades. The bug reports list is a mile long. I'm sure you can see why people are unhappy with Subeta right now.

Jeez, I hate how these items just sit there, taunting me; I can hear their cackling.

No, I don't think we want the complete site to come to a standstill... but it's kind of like waking up on Christmas morning, seeing tons of wonderful wrapped packages, but all you can do is stare at them... and stare at them some more, because you aren't allowed to open a one

Wow, I kind of wonder why people feel the need to point out in a not too polite way "Too bad we can't BUY THEM" again after about 50 people have already said it just before them.. if you're gonna be all mean and rude, don't do it if everyone else already did it before you, there's nothing special about it and it's just offending.

It's true that leftover Halloween items were released after Halloween, but Halloween items had been released continuously throughout the month of October, and certainly got more than its fair share of mention. I don't think it's fair to compare that with a holiday that didn't get any mention prior to today.

If it wasn't so ridiculous, I'd be laughing. I understand frustration, but come on. People keep forgetting that Artists and Programmers have totally different jobs. Perhaps some people would be happier if the site just completely shut down for days so the glitches could be worked on in peace. But not me, definitely not me. I'll take my Subeta any way I can get it, thankyouverymuch.

Personally, I love the new items (FABOO art!!) and I shall start buying them up as soon as I am able to, but will sit tight and wait for that time.

.. But I suppose if you guys'd prefer, absolutely every aspect of the site could come to an absolute standstill. xD

OHMYGOSH. THOSE FOODS MAKE ME SO FREAKING HUNGRY. xD .. Um. And. The staff artist department has absolutely nothing to do with fixing glitches and bugs in programming; the vast majority of us are completely clueless when it comes to code. We're not going to stop doing our work because there are a few somewhat urgent problems being worked on by other departments, that are taking a little longer to fix than originally thought. Most festival/holiday themed items take quite a while to get retired after the holiday has come to an end, so I'm sure the Diwali items won't be retired for ages yet. :3 You'll all get a chance to acquire them, don't fret. :3

Philosofish, they released many late items for other Holidays, like the random Halloween stuff they stocked in the shops AFTER Halloween was over.

You shouldn't have released any new items until you actually got the shops to WORK.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Soo cute 3, i love the blue :3, but i can't buy it .-.. Please, fix the shops

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

See, I think it is wonderful that they're releasing these items. And yeah I'm bummed I can't go stalk the shops in search of them, but I would never dream of getting all angry or insulting about it. But I'll certainly pout a little.

Remember guys, the drawing and releasing of new items is handled by a different department than those that fix things (or at least the drawing, but the releasing takes all of 5 minutes I would think to put them in the database).

I'm sure they only released them today because it wouldn't make sense to release them at a later date, and they were planning this before these glitches came up.

I agree it's a tease, though XD

I love how you guys acknowlege other cultures and their holidays too c: Now I'm curious about what Diwali is. skips off to look it up

And all you guys complaining about not being able to buy stuff - get over it, they're pixels. The staff has a lot to do, and I'm sure they don't appreciate it when they do something nice and all they get back is a bunch of gripes about "Why haven't you fixed the shops yet?!?!" I'm sure they'll be back to normal in a few days, but the point of releasing the items isn't to laugh at you for not being able to buy them, it's to celebrate a holiday.

Is there a true point to releasing new items? This is seriously not making anyone like the people incharge of fixing things any more than they already do. I understand that you all do a lot of work, but still.... Isn't it just adding more to your own workload by adding more items that will be glitched?

Oh boy, new items. It would be nice if the code words would load so we could actually, you know, BUY them.

Aren't we going on three days of no restocking, now?

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

It's a bit of a insult to injury (adding in awesome items we can't restock) but I'm sure their reasoning for it was that Diwali is today, and that it would make no sense releasing them afterwards. I'm thankful that Subeta is culturally geared and can celebrate something I had no idea existed, but can appreciate.
