Erin, there was a glitch and no one got the last trivia right.

Louis L'amour was the correct answer, but the apostrophe messed it all up .

I'm sorry, but your answer of louis lamour for the trivia was incorrect.

Dang. What was the answer, I'm so confused.....

I hope I get this one rigjht!

It is not so much as "Implanting", well it may be, I am not going to bring this to a Personal state.

Misty, there is a picture of Louis on several fan-sites, such as Wikibeta and Minionmatch.

So, how does one find the link or place to the Valentine area besides going back through months of news posts? :X I had the answer pegged as Mauve.

correction Programmed into us from birth, or from the point that we gain one specific portion of knowledge, such as the concept of "addition".

Why bring up Immanuel Kant? The only thing he has to do with a priori is that the term is included in his theory of how we evaluate our world. He's simply saying, essentially, that we 'inherent' certain ideals, things that are programmed into us from birth... that not everything we know is gleaned from experience. ---- Your comment is a total non-sequitur. --- But like I said, I'm done with this ridiculous fight. This isn't the place for it. If you'd like to continue, you can sMail me.

I'm not going to fight with you. I'm sorry, but I can't understand how you talk. All I was saying is this: "This sentence (" Well I found this as a priori knowledge, this is relevant to tha question yes?&quot is confusing. You never say that Debi is the one having such 'a priori' knowledge." And I only mentioned hypothesis because it's part of one of the definitions of a priori, so I though maybe that's what you meant.

Excellent trivia - this one, not the last one. I'd forgotten all about poor old Louis once march rolled around and he was forced into semi-retirement for 11 months!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by ThaMaster

I do not think Immanuel Kant has anything to do with this trivia, however his theories may.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by ThaMaster

GenerationalSavant, Point out where "I" was referring to Debille? I called her out, if your talking about personal comments thats a different story. You brought up Hypothesis as far to this trivia, which you can conclude one based on an experiment, but that does not equal tha answer, as proved.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Tribunal

And it actually means "from the previous". I took Latin. Priori, by itself, is what means "what is before".

Of course she knows the answers ahead of time, she puts them up. Someone's got to.

And I wasn't suggesting what I am doing is a hypothesis.. that would be a gross mis-use of the word hypothesis.

I simply didn't understand what you were trying to say in the original sentence, since the subject you typed was "I" when you were apparently talking about Debi.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by ThaMaster
User Avatar

DebiLee knows tha answer 'a priori', that means what is before. I am trying to keep this to trivia based questions and aswers, As I was told to. It is not a hypothesis, as much as you have tried to reason with both of us.

a priori (adj):

  1. Known ahead of time.
  2. (logic) Based on hypothesis rather than experiment. (ex: a priori knowledge) .... Maybe he's seeing that he knew the answer to this trivia without having to look for it.. shrug

I think ThaMaster is trying to tell us to stay on topic. We are, we're talking about trivia in general, not only the current one. Since this is a trivia newspost, we can talk about all sorts of things trivia related.

I only barely skimmed over them; there are a lot of them in there because we get 6-12 suggestions per day, but only use one per day (or longer intervals of time).

I'd love to know if any of mine are archived, but I doubt it. I tend to submit easy ones, though I've been working on what would, (and yes I'm using a Halo dificulty here because I am a nerd) probably be considered Legendary.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I posted a great trivia question in my mind but was new as heck to how these work, so my prize idea is really dumb...Dx. so I doubt mine will ever be used.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by DebiLee
User Avatar

Oh, yes, they're all archived if they're usable. We have a big problem with people submitting Trivias of things that can change, such as how many species are availacle in x color? Also people aren't aware sometimes if a Trivia has already been used previously; I had to delete four of those earlier tonight. Also no non Subeta Trivias, other than math related, are accepted from users. And no personal questions, such as which user has a pet named x, and, in the name of humanity, NO MORE RIDDLES PLEASE! XD

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

thanx General ^__^ that makes me feel better knowing capitals are not to blame

I think a mixture of easy to hard trivias is good. Since some people find things easy and some hard, an Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty meter should help some people...

yes of course, but the translation of google sound that stupid..xD aw, ok, great idea, i try it! thx!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

If the trivia is too plain then finding the answer would take much less effort, which doesn't seem bad until you think about how that means hundreds more prizes would be given out and stuff wouldn't be as special. Also seems fair it should take some searching/ thought, otherwise it would be closer to a free gift. XD
