I love it! I just may have to get a swampie now..it's gorgeous! And the best thing in my opinion is, it still retains enough qualities of the old one.

Most dynamic poses, Takkeh, keep the same characteristics of the common pet. So while you may not disagree, the galactic was an example of things to come with the swampie. Likewise other galactic pets...

im not a big fan of this. i think its too different from the original, all the things i liked about it have changed. i agree that a poll should have been taken to get the perspective of users who actually care about this site. it seems like a lot of the people with positive comments dont currently have a swampie. so maybe this 'new' pet appeals to them, but current owners enjoyed the old look...

I think it's beautiful, myself. I'd like to get one, except I have no room in my little family. Though, I must admit, that tail IS long. It could use shortening. The spikes do look a bit too "spikey" as it was put, but I find it tolerable. Maybe others don't... the mouth, however, I like. It needed a mouth. Now it doesn't look so stupid. I could totally have gone out Swampie tipping with the dumb look it had on its face before, now I'd go out to swim with or ride a Swampie. Major major improvement.

I'm going to disagree about the Galactic Swampie.

Because generally, most colors of pets that change the pose make them look very different.

The Galactic Swampie is one of those.

I do find it necessary to point out that several people who are throwing fits about this swampie revamp (which was another user request, by the way) own galactic swampies.

And galactic swampies reflect this very revamp.

I'm pretty sure chibi was that color to begin with; I had a zapped one for about the three minutes it took me to run to my vault for a cheap elixir.

The new chibi though - I'd keep the new one until it was zapped away; it's the cutest fat ickle thing I've seen in a while.

Holy moly that's freaking awesome! Dood, its totally more anatomically correct than the old one... XD Yes, I'm the weirdo who likes some pets to be anatomically correct. This Swampie looks like it could live in water and actually survive. More like a Plesiosaur. I always thought the old one was a bit too bulky, and didn't have the necessary equipment (ie good tail and fins) to be able to survive in a water state. This Swampie looks sleek like a torpedo, you could definitely see it giving chase or just shooting around underwater... And yes, I love that tail. Underwater, once it started coasting, it wouldn't be using it flippers for any sort of propulsion, it would use them for steering, and then the tail, with its undulating-ness, would be able to keep its constant speed without losing any due to drag created by having to push its fins out. Definitely more, um... aquadynamic? I don't think its a word, but aerodynamic wasn't right for something that lives underwater... XD ANYWAYS: FIVE BIGASS FREAKING STARS

I like this new swampie. It's seriously different, which (though I know some don't like it) most people were going for in forums. I'm glad you did something drastically different this time. Now when the zapper turns Dru swampie I think I might react better hehehehe

There is no REAL swampie. Who knows, maybe the first time it was draw, they had WANTED to make it look more eel-y, but ...failed in that aspect? The only one who can say for sure what a swampie is is the artist.

No matter how many times you change something, there will always be people that dislike it/something about it. It's only natural. :3

Unless I am very much mistaken, the new Swampie was done by the same artist who did galactic.

Guess that just goes to show, doesn't it?

I'd say the comment thread is showing that this new pet would've won any poll by a mile - possibly more. =D

I think it's great. One thing though: Shouldn't the chibi be the same color as the common? Or wasthe last version of chibi purple to begin with?

I don't really care, it's looks great, either way. And I like how the swampie's length has increased. It actually looks capable of swimming, now.

As explained in other news post comments, revamp polls are not always needed, nor should users expected to be polled on EVERY revamp.

Takkeh, that sort of tirade is NOT acceptable on News comments posts concerning revamps - as an older member, you should know by now what our policy is concerning constructive comments.

I find it particularly interesting that you are so blindingly enraged when you yourself own a Galactic Swampie, which IS one of the revamped Swampies.

Takkeh// you are way overreacting. if you think that this site is turning into "that other site" then leave. even though it's not. and saying "loving" in placement of a curse word just proves that your vocabulary is miniscule. and even though i myself don't particuarly care for the revamp, i have to admit that it's better art. and face it- things are going to change, and you're not always going to like it. so deal with it.

Takkeh, irregardless of whether or not you like it, language like that is not allowed on the site, and we'd appreciate it in the future if you could tactfully word your distaste instead of being so rude. I think we should have been able to vote on this as well...... The tail is FAR too long in my opinion.... the euespikes are rather.... off. They should have been kept lighter........ I actualy liked the way it looked like without a mouth and a rounded muzzle... x: The rest of the body is pretty good, though.... Save for the chibi. -0 It looks to.... square, like the neck is not attached properly. With the way it's attached to the shouders, it looks like it's a highly overweight tadpole, especialy in comparision to the tail.

It's really different and that's cool! It's nice to see that when you go to make a change you make a real change - despite the naysayers which are inherent with the process. It's ok to like AND dislike a change, we need people on both sides or we'd all end up sheeple. The thing is we've just got to be helpful with our criticism AND our praise. So, I liked the old one better because of the pose and because it reminded me of a character in a childrens Serendipity book; however, the new one has undeniably cute button eyes and seems to be a content subeta resident!

i think a poll would definitely say people like this one more. but i have to admit it's really different from the old one. i wonder why so many pets are revamped now? in every case there will be people who don't like it. people chose thier pets because they liked them the way they were, i don't really find it right to change pets so very much =/ even if the new art is definitely well done.

And as for Takkeh: If you can't get your point across without cursing, then no one is really going to take you seriously. As you can see from the comments, most people are seeming to LIKE the redraw. Sure, you can't please everyone, but look at myself... I've never wanted a swampie before, but with this redraw, I do. Just an example. If you think this site is all about the money, you're crazy. If you think it's like that "other" site, you're even more crazy. This site is more of a tight-knit community than any I've ever been a part of.

And remember, no one is forcing you to stay.

I adore this new Swampie; I bet the Wizard Tokens are gonna go up too, 'cause people are gonna start running towards the Zapper for Swampie zaps.

Takkeh, you can't say what a Swampie is or what it isn't, it should be what the artist decides it is. I personally like the long tail and the neck and stuff. Just, the Chibi swampie looks a little bit block-ey, but again, that's my own opinion.

No, I don't want the DM Swampie to be revamped. It looks so cute without its mouth (that's the reason why I love Harvester- they don't have a mouth), looking at the single dark matter bubble. I can't imagine of a revamp that could look better than this.

Wowza, that is wonderful!

Aqua did these, right? I think so. Well, anyway, whoever did these it's a lovely pet now, all fluid and graceful.

Way way way better than the old one. Awesome job. If I were still zapping a pet I wouldn't mind using the fairground zapper now - living with one of these would no longer be painful. ^^

I must say it is an improvement, except for the tail. It seems a bit... long, don't you think? I think it would have been better shorter, a bit thicker, and curved under. As it is now I have to agree with Takkeh, it looks kinda eelish. But, the art is lovely. I like.
