I don't know if I was one of the persons who that comment about "Omg FMA" was directed towards, but I will say that I certainly know that anime didn't invent alchemy. I've heard about alchemy since I was in elementary (long before the anime). There does seem to be a vague reference to FMA however, even if that was unintentional.

Aww. I wanted a Pupiluff but stupidly made two Emotions instead, since I didn't realise the Elixir of Love was used in the recipe for the Pupiluff. I went ahead and used both the elixirs of Loves I had in my gallery full of elixirs and potions on making two Emotions instead. XD OOPS. Oh well. The Emotion is sosososo pretty that I'll get over it.. and make a Pupiluff later on. xD

Hehe, I was going to mention that this seems a bit based off of FMA (those gloves, items being changed molecularly) but I didn't for fear of being called crazy xD Now I know I'm not the only one who thought that 
i think what basilisk was saying was that he looks like a alchemist from the anime full metal alchemist because the symbol on his glove looks like a transmutation (SP?) circle.
