guys i think a good idea to do is to compliment both the old one and the new one and try not to be bias when describing them. just becausse this one is fresh does not mean its better. i think the point of this is to make subeta's pets more appealing and likeable by more members. If it already is good and satisfying why change? Some people think the grass is greener somewhere else. i think why fix it if its not broken?

Personally I was never a fan of the canis in the first place, but I do like the revamp. It seems to suit how I would of pictured the canis more and I like the cute innocent look it has.

I do have to agree that the fur should be a bit fluffier though and flow more into the body. The fur on its chest for instance almost looks as if it was pasted on. Overall if that little part was fixed I'd be all for the new canis. I like the floofiness of it XD

Wow, this is a big change from the "original" with many subtle changes. I love the more delineated feet and legs...but the "animal" as a whole appears more like a plushie than an original pet to me. I will be voting for the "newer" version, since overall I think it is a vast improvement, but I'm not sure it could be as "life-like" as it could be. I'm not looking for "real world" animal, but some level of anatomy, or realism needs to be maintained. Over all...a great next stage for the Canis!

I really like it, but i think it looks a bit chubby, and the legs seem a bit short, compared to the 'old' kanis. Good job though! thumbs up

I like it, though I think it's on the heavy side... (weight) Maybe it's back foot is too big? I don't know... Well, so long as you don't change the spectrum one!

This one ius great and absolutely adorable, but it's just not a recontruction of the old Canis, which is what I would prefer. The old canis looked very happy and out-going while this one looks very cute, innocent, and playful. It's a very good drawing of a rabbit-type pet, but not the canis.

Oh, might I also add that the proportion of the legs and the size of the feet are perfect. I have to agree with some other people and say I would've liked to have seen the new canis be more aerodynamic and athletic like the old one, though.

First let me say that the new canis is extraordinarily done. I do however have some crits: I do not care for how narrow and tall the head is..It clashes with the rather sturdy body and the outwardly flowing ears. The paws are perfect, they capture the soft roundness the old Canis is lacking in yet their quite Canis-esque.// I love the angle of the tail, and it's softly done besides..I don't care for the setting of the eyes, they seem to be set with the bottoms deeper in the skull than the top; it creates a sunken look that just isn't appealing. I like how the fur on it's chest was done, but the transition from blue chest fur to white underbelly shouldn't be outlined with black..I think it should blend fluffily so it doesn't look so bib like.

Honestly, it seems the old one has sort of a rustick charm X3 theres something about it that just seems to stick. This new one is great, really, but not to be used. In my opinion, maybe the old one should be... touched up, or perhaps gotten new shading/ lining?

I love this new one. I liked the first revamp too. Good job, Rah. The only problem I have with it is its teeth showing like that. That bugs even on my real bunnies though. XD

this looks really cute, its near chibi though - good or bad i guess is personal preferance on chibi - and the color changes look like they arent on the animal itsef, like the ends of the ears - they kinda look like theyre there to keep the ends of the ears warm XD i really do love the eyes though, theyre so shiny and healthy and happy looking!

I think it could use a fluffier chest and yet less of a chest. I know that makes no sense... the fluffy part should be fluffier and the area that isn't so fluffy and is mostly hidden by its forelegs should be up a bit more. In my opinion anyway. It can have a fat tummy all it likes but not a fat chest.

i dont like this one. at all. and yet again people are being biased and picking the new one. i dont like this one because its two round. it looks much more typical. the other one had more personality. that colouring and shapes created really puts an air of annonymousity to it.

I like the body, but I personally think the head could be better. Maybe a bit more happy looking than "That Kumos looks like it wants to eat me..."

And why such a dent on the ears? The curved in lines imply that there's a huge curved in dent in the ears, maybe a bit straighter looking ears would be nice?

A canis I like! le gasp I love love love this. I'll restate what some people have said though, the tooth. I get what you were going for there, Rah, but the teeth are too small and end up looking like one tooth. So maybe add another tooth the same size as the one that's there already? Other than that I can't see any fault with it!

"The only special colour that might probably be up for a major revamp is the Spectrum" -looks at Ananass- Gasp! If I don't like it I can always make him graveyard anyway. That's what I originally wanted to do.

It's the expression and paws that gets me. The expression here is a girly smile, but the old Canis's expression shows a smile that could be for both genders. The paws were also alot cuter, less in detail, but alot cuter. I voted for the Old because I think it will be more popular for the male users on the site. I think it needs more work. The eyes are good though.

Better than all the previous versions, but it's still just.. Not right. It doesn't /feel/ like a Canis. It just doesn't. It's face looks like, "Ehehe.." Instead of "Yaaay! =DDD" You know? ):

And the hair and fur are still so stiff looking. It looks like it has hard, clumpy fur. It should be smoothened. Try to add some realisim to it, because Hair and Fur is a pretty major part, as far as I'm concerned. x3

The fur on the neck is pretty good, but the tail and head still bother me. :B The feet are a lot better than the other versions. And the ears. But, the ears don't quite have that floppy look. Although that's really hard to make it look floppy, so that's no big deal.

But, Rah, you've really improved! O: <3

The expression is very good. I just love how happy the Canis looks. /// However, I must say the body and facial structure is too round. I'm sorry to say, the canis look like it gained weight. Real rabbits have an excuse for looking that way, due to their anatomy and how they live, but this is not a real rabbit. I suppose, if you took a teeny tiny itsy bitsy bit off all around, slim it down just a wee bit, it would look so much nicer! /// Now, on another note concerning the canis, I dearly and desperately hope there are no plans to change the Graveyard version. I'll say why. The expression. Simply evil yet deceivingly sweet. "I'm just a cute wittle rabbit, please come closer." It seems to say. And the Graveyard one is skinny. Because it's dead, it being extremely thin like that is perfect for something that is ... well....dead. So, I MUST insist, if you change this canis, and want to change some themed ones (especially the ones people work hard to get the SP for to change them the way they liked them from before), please consider not changing the Graveyard! I mean really mule it over, not a quick thought, and do it anyways. It would be so nice to NOT see it changed.

I like the newer version; it looks more, realistic, I suppose, with its feet in proportion to the rest of the body and all of that.

I have a question though; I was going through some of the other polls, and the old and new versions are the same. Is this because they have already been changed, or is it just my computer?

I'm never good at putting what I think about art changes into words, but I have to agree with Flonne and Riyoku. They said what I want to say perfectly.

Hmmm, now this is a revamp that'll work. xD The pose is still similar and the expression sort of stayed. Pets all having the same blank star just makes the whole lot of them seem rather retarded after a while, sad really... like they all dropped out of school. Which by the way, was that idea ever going to happen on Subeta? Schools? Meh, I'm wandering. Back to the Kanis. I don't mind the ears, big and fat seems to work well for them. Though the bump in the left ear almost makes it seem as though those dark blue ear tips are more like ears... caps, or something, that the Kanis shoves its ears into. Kind of make me think of nose guards on surfboards actually. =P The tooth... one word about what it makes me think: Snaggletooth. Or is that supposed to be two words? I don't think the Kanis needs a bit of a tooth showing, it looks rather odd, like some lineart not meant to be there almost. If you were going for the buck teeth impression like the GY Canis has, then sorry but I don't think it worked so hot. The stnadard Canis could probably do without the snaggletooth. I don't know why but I want to grab it's right front paw and shake it, the way its holding it. Didn't want to do that to the old one, tis cute. The chest fur... it looks a little... too cartoon-ish, and has gone past cartoony and now looks like fake plastic. No, not plastic, wax. I'm afraid if I tried to hug this guy half the fure on his chest would snap right off. I think it stems from the blue suddenly going to white. Perhaps it would be better if all the chest fur were blue? Or if you did keep the white, at least make the line from blue to white actually sort of match up with the black out line of the fur. Otherwise it just looks... odd.

A couple minor tweaks on this Rah, and it'll be great. Definately doing good so far. =)

I have to agree with Flare. n__n; Mostly on the ears. I can definitely see where the artist was going with them, but it doesn't look like they pulled it off all that well. I personally would love if the ears were more shaped like the Angelic canis's, and it seems like the artist for this revamp was trying to do that. :3 One thing I do like, though - thanks for keeping the pose generally the same! ^^ Thats awesomerific.

I really like the pose. Even though it's not a true bunny, I too have to add that the tooth looks out of place. I think it would be improved without the little tooth at all, since it's so small it seems almost like just a dot. I understand though that is because of the angle of the head. I really like its eyes. They reflect the original Canis' personality better than the previous revamp.

I had to vote for old again. :/ Three reasons. The tooth seems just.. pasted on, and it looks a little too far to the side. The shading doesn't sit right with me, though I can't think of why. But the biggest problem I have with it is the ears. I don't know why, but I greatly dislike those ears. x__x; I dunno. I think they just look very fake, a bit TOO cartoony.

Just my opinion, I apologize if anyone takes offense to it. It seems as though this one is going to win anyway. I have a question though, will the GY canis be revamped?

Rah - Above all I appreciate hearing from the artist and what they were going for. I am NO artist so I really dont feel qualified to criticize in anyway. Thanks for telling us what you were going for.

Also thanks to Kieth for sticking up for his artists. They Subeta animals and therefore dont have to conform to any "known" standards! And Rah is right there are a few dog-type pets around already!

And to add fuel to the fire - I like the tooth!!
