Trapped Minion Updates!

Hello, everyone!

Thanks to some helpful users, I've been looking into a less-loved feature. The trapped minions. In the spirit of communication, here are some current and future changes.

Throughout May, you might notice the bubbles have a higher chance of popping. Before an hour ago, the chances for a bubble to pop and give you a minion was ridiculous at 1/100 chance. I'll adjust throughout May to find a good spot where it's not too common or rare for you to pop a bubble. Why?

In June, I'll adjust the code so you can get minions of rarities outside of 1-99 as well as 1-99! Those are the only rarities that will have the minion follow you home. There are a lot of cool minions outside of those rarities that we'd like you to have a chance at. That's why I'll first find that sweet spot for how often a trapped minion will be released to you. Don't want those super rare minions to become too common after all!

To clarify some things: ⭐ June will mean you'll get some extra minion rarities in addition to 1-99 minions. ⭐ We won't be adding cash shop minions as a potential prize (other plans for those friends)! ⭐ We will be changing Major Drills for the next few days not to ask for you to feed trapped minions. This will go into effect at midnight on the 14th.

Yea popping those bubbles was very rare n I fed over 6,000 n never the rare ones popped I need so thank you I love it now I might have a chance getting the last 92 minions I need

That's 1% chance of getting a minion to pop. That's not exactly a common chance. Some people have very bad luck where that 1% was never in their favor. I have also fed many minions and I don't think I've had it pop for me! It was!

I don't believe it was 1/100 because I've fed 2,800 of them and I've popped maybe 3 XD

Thank you! I attempt this on and off, but I've never had a bubble pop before--despite feeding over 200. It's like the Oofa fruit. Never had a bug inside one either, and I've been on site for a decade feeding them to my pets.

I had no idea you could get minions from feeding the trapped minions?! I thought it was like a fantasy charity thing, feeding the babies out of the goodness of our hearts (or on Drills quests) and rarely played it. This is a cool update!

YESSSSS. Thank you!! The motivation to waste sP feeding minions for no good reason was severely lacking. An actual chance of bringing home those rarer minions still needed for my collection is huge motivation!

Thanks for sorting this. I feed at least one most days for Drills quests and seem to have fed checks achievement score 1424 of the things over time. I think one popped once, years ago. (I'm guessing I won't be able to feed any for the next few days but that's fine - it's like Blackheart Hollow, nearly everyone forgets about it a few days after the post!)

Wow, I haven't fed minions for years so forgot this was a thing. I only fed them in the past for a reason, like a challenge. But nice to know it's getting some adjustments. Thanks.

I have fed 1,024 minions out of 6,000 so far. Now I'll never be able to feed another minion until feeding minions becomes old news again. :(

thank you! the trapped minions minigame is one of my favourite onsite features, but it was getting disheartening hearing about how poor the pop-rates were.

MUST AID THE HELPLESS MINIONS!

Yeah, I'll probably try later tonight. I'm back on afternoons to start after gallbladder surgery and sepsis 10 days later. A month of no work really hit me in the pockets.
