Quest-a-thon: PRIZES part one

Thank you everyone for participating in this year’s Quest-a-thon! We’ve started giving out the basic prizes and will be working on the prize for the top 100 folks over the next few days.

Just a reminder of what these prizes entail:

Completing at least one quest got you: 1 pet slot, the style hoodie (which you can transform!), 5 referral points, 10 loyalty points, and the Questin' Hard achievement. This achievement gives you the forum title “Questing hard, or hardly questing?” which was the most liked suggestion in a past news post because I forgot to do a poll. SORRY EVERYONE.
Originally, we had planned that if you completed 100 quests you would get the Green Sun Sparkle HA border. Due to some programming issues, we’ve changed it to having quested at least three days (no cap on to how many quests just the fact you did some!). So if you fit that, you get the Green Sun Sparkle HA border.

Note: The event says “total completed” and should say “days of quests completed” for some, it's been updated but the first few to get the event have the old messaging (before we sorted out the green sun sparkle HA border issue)

Second note: We're aware of the issue with the achievement being unlocked, and are looking into it.

" You finished with 27 days of quests completed". I did 155 quests every day plus a few extra quests that pop up and I never missed a day missed alot of sleep tho lol but its ok cuz it's being worked on thank you so much cant wait till next quest a thon

Mine said I completed 21 days....I know 100% that I did everyday...ALL quests except for 1 day that I was rushing to get them done by midnight but the clock struck and I was short by 10 quests!!!!!!!

I really hope that those who managed to complete the 100 quest limit within the 3 days that the requirements were changed to require will still get the green border.

i understand how programming issues interfered with releasing the HA border, especially with such a small team running the site, but changing the achievement requirements last minute when there's a big difference between completing 3 days' worth of quests and 100 quests. as is evidenced by the comment section, there are a lot of people who specifically completed 100 quests so they could get the border, and plenty of others who were only able to do that many quests due to time restraints.

this is really unfair to them and i'm honestly disappointed by the lack of communication. personally, i would have gladly waited longer for the quest-a-thon prizes if the issue with rewarding borders was clarified beforehand so that a solution could be worked out to where everyone who worked towards and met the former requirement for the border is able to receive it.

I'm confused. I did all quests every day (including both Saggi and Sarah) and had a couple of extra Wiz Quests thrown in, so do I have to wait to see if I have made the top 100 as they're still working on it? Or does the fact that others have quests over the QAT days I have been credited - it took a lot of time from my daily life while my husband is deployed so I stopped once the Questathon was over - mean I will have definitely missed out? Not gonna lie, I'll be quite upset if that is the case!

Agree with others that people missing out because the goalposts were changed post QAT isn't fair either.

Thank you for the rewards, tho I'm sad... I did 100 quests on the first day even tho I don't like questing, I did so to get the border, as I had personal things to attend, so I must agree with the others saying it's unfair to change it now even if it was a programming problem, some did what they could just to have that pretty border... It's sad that those couldn't get it at alll even having meet what was asked.

it says I only finished 3 quests but I spent the whole last day doing all the quests I could, which was more than 100 on one day. :D SO what happened??? I also did more than 3 days worth so I should get the border. So do I have to file a ticket?

I completed 19 days of GA quests (think I only missed a day?) including Sarah's quests too, so I'm crossing my fingers for the gold border! I've unlocked the green border, but the achievement hasn't unlocked (I know you guys are already aware). Have to agree with the general consensus about moving the goalposts about the green border.

I originally had 2 notifications, one said I completed 2 quests and the second said something like Whoops! sorry about that first notification. you completed 2 days worth of quests

Also going to chime in my disappointment about the green border qualifications changing. I did 2 full days of questing with a GA which amounts to well over 100 quests, and stopped after that due to personal issues. I don't think it's fair to change this so far after the quest-a-thon has ended.

I see others have posted their questathon notifications. Mine started with "Whoops!" That's all I remember reading. Maybe that was for something else? :S

I'll tack on to the irritation regarding the goalposts for the green border being moved. I also did 100 quests in one day. Even if it's going to be fixed retroactively, the implication that this was an equivalent switch up after the fact in the first place is very much not cool. It's 100% a completely different goal that doesn't encapsulate all the people who hit the initial requirement.

I think a lot of people will appreciate this being remedied.

Aww man, I was on vacation for most of the QAT and was only able to 2 days of questing for the border, I wasn't expecting for the goal for the green border to change. :/

My little quest-a-thon prize announcement says I did 3 days worth of quests, but I didn't get the green HA sparkle border. :( I did most of my quests to qualify for it on one day, because my family was visiting over the quest-a-thon dates, and I wanted to spend that time with them. I hadn't really seen them since last year because of the pandemic and moving out of state, so I was trying to limit my screen time. I don't know if there was an error in calculating which days I quested? I'm not sure if this warrants a ticket or not, but I'm pretty bummed out. 😢

It says I completed 13 says but I 100% Completed every quest every day but it looks like alot of people are having the same issue.

I never read it that way. I thought it was pretty clear that they were just saying the 2m prizes weren't INSTEAD of the 1m prizes, but that you would get the 1m prizes AND the other add-ons.

Biggest issues I'm seeing in all this is what has already been brought up: the switch-up on the green border. People were able to get to 100 quests with 1 day questing, and expected to receive the green border based on that since that was the goal set forth. It seems particularly messed up to change the requirements weeks after QAT has ended.

Also concerned that the message clearly seems to be counting non-QAT days (mine says I completed 23 days). I'm very much hoping that this doesn't affect the top 100 questers since people shouldn't be punished if they completed every single quest during the QAT but not during days before/after QAT.

I had a feeling something strange would happen so even though I finished all 155 quests the first day, I still did at least 1 quest every day. I really hope you'll find a way to reward those who did the original 100 quest requirement. They deserve it just the same as anyone else.

To change your avatar border, go to the Wardrobe > Settings (three bars near the top left of the page) > Personal > Cosmetics!

It's possible, of course, but I read that to say at 2M the 1M prizes are given AGAIN plus the other stuff. I'm very disappointed. I was really looking forward to the two pet slots and was so excited to be able to get them.

Please make sure in the future that you verify that the prizes are programmed correctly to function as intended, and if not, then make the new requirements to unlock available to everyone as soon as possible. You guys are starting to form a bad habit of changing things partway through an event without notifying the players, and that's not good. =/

I think the wording of staff's post was a bit confusing and that it actually meant for 2mil quests completed we would not only get the pet slot etc. but also the referral points, the loyalty points and the forum title. c:

OK, maybe I missed something, but we are to get double of all the prizes, and that includes the pet slot! You said if we completed 1M quests, we got all the prizes, and then you said if we completed 2M quests, our prizes were doubled. Where is my 2nd pet slot, hoodie, and all that? I worked hard for that 2nd million like everyone else.

7/2/21 If 1,000,000 quests get completed: Participants of at least 1 quest will receive 1 pet slot, 1 Style Hoodie. Anyone that does at least 100 quests will receive a new Green Sun Sparkle HA Border. We will once again be awarding the Gold Sun Sparkle border to the top 100 participants. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border)

If 2,000,000 quests get completed: All goal one prizes (assuming you meet requirements) + 5 referral points + 10 loyalty points + a forum title yet to be determined. Give your suggestions for it in the news comments and we’ll do a poll later!

7/14/21 Y’all did it! A total of 2,116,704 quests were completed between 12:00am on July 2nd and 11:59pm on July 13th.

Yay! Thanks for the prizes! :) But I am genuinely confused, I did almost all the quests (had to skip only one library quest) plus got two bonus Wizard quests... and somehow qualified only for the green border? :(
