What a fun mix of revamps to start off the new year!

A succubus showed up at my RPG game today. This update seriously creeps me out lol (And I'm glad I was saving those for revamps, looks really nice :) )
Oh yeah we were talking about the pendant wolf in another server and I agree, it seems to have some qualities that can be described as bear-like. I thiiink it's the larger size of the nose and the very broad muzzle paired with the eyes that look, since the base of the muzzle appears to be narrower than the end of the muzzle ( due in part to the size of the nose ), like theyre quite close together. Bears eyes are set just right on top of their big muzzles, while wolves appear to have more space between their eyes.

Also the pendant wolf's thicker forelegs, thicker body, and larger/longer paws also seem to make it look a little more bearlike. 'w' that being said, bigger paws and thicker limbs, etc. can sometimes be a desirable stylization! so adding these traits are generally not a bad thing, but i see a lot of users liked certain things abt the old wolf that sort of got lost on the new one, and i feel like the sleeker 'wolfier' design was one of those things so tried to make the little edit mockup i made a little sleeker w/o being too intrusive.
I'd rather eat it in yummy food.

- Me too, especially as a full time zombie, the new tattoos don't show up at all, so I probably won't be using them anymore. Liking the rest of the succubus/incubus items, though the flirty hearts a bit less cute, but still nice.
what if we turned the wolf items into dog items after tens of thousands of years of selective item breeding and then argued online about them
I'm liking most of the revamps, but I wish the succubus tattoos were still black. I've always used them fairly often (such as right now) and them being purple now will actually make me use them less.
I love the new wolves but everyone is entitled to their opinion! I love drawing of the wolf the best! TY Akita. When in your shop let me know. I do like the Woodcutters Wolf Tooth better! I do like the other new revamps a lot!

Wow..whenever I look in the comments of revamp posts I start to wonder if I'm still on Subeta or accidentially entered Tumblr....
Anyways, it's nice to see Subeta still updates their old art and the artist definitely deserve some kudos. Of course not everyone can be pleased and this includes also me. I do like most of those revamps but there are also small details which also bother me. Like he horns of the wigs which now look more short and nubbier. Makes them a bit too cute but the hair itself turned out great! I also miss the different coloration of the flirtation hearts. Since the incubus one is still missing and will get added, maybe the female one will get changed? If not..well....sucks but nothing to cry about. The wolves...I can see why people are upset. To be honest I never recognized the overlay of the pendant as a wolf. XD I thought it was more of a fox-like creature. It's great that it looks more like a wolf now if it's also supposed to be one in the old art, but it really is different now. Also I think it needs a few fixes since the paws in the front look really weird. The other wolf looks awesome now, but again I can see why people prefer the old one. The canges are way too big. Personally I think both look nice in their own way and it's kinda tragic that we can't have both in some way.
...............anyways, the gryphon heart looks sick i'm definitely gonna throw one in gyrephon's treasure!!
these are all crazy good improvements, i love the succubus/incubus item updates especially, AND!!! the foo dog fur 💖 i think about that item strangely a lot and am weirdly stupid happy it's updated i wanna eat it 11/10 same with the gryphon heart but i do not want to eat it so 10/10 (im not sure it could be artistically rendered so that i do want to eat it but this is only speculation)
Your edits are nice. I also appreciate the issues people had with the white wolf being put into actual words, too. I can understand that a bit better, now, but I also still feel that the old one had, well, far more anatomy issues than the new one. There is something a bit bear-ish about the new face slope. Wild, usually I'm complaining that bears get drawn with wolf faces, not the other way around.
I kind of miss the timber wolf-look of the woodcutter's tooth one, but it's a nice wolf on its own, and I appreciate the layerability it now has by not having the HA silhouette out its body. The talisman with the white wolf, something about the wolf feels off about its face and outward-facing front paws, but other than that it's significantly nicer than the original. The wigs are AWESOME, that succubus wig is amazing and I'll have to get it sometime.

The only thing sadder on here than the amount of pretentious people thinking they’re comedians by intentionally slighting already upset people is the amount of “likes” they have.
Now that the Gryphon heart got revamped, I kinda really hope that some day it becomes a wearable...

I mostly came here to say that while I appreciate revamps, I also preffered the old Succubus wig's more unisex appearance, but aside from that, I think the majority of these look great.
That said? holy shit what a wild ride that comments section is! I suspect a lot of it will get deleted so before that happens, I'd like to sum up my thoughts on the matter in a single image: For your viewing pleasure.

People can post disappointment without hate. Idk why y'all seemed to have conveniently missed that part. I wish you guys would stop cherry-picking my posts like I'm trying to tell Wolfism that they CAN'T voice an opinion. In the same way, I am free to voice my own, and my opinion is that the hate was unnecessary.
Dislike, disappointment, frustration with revamps are totally expected and I never said no one was allowed to voice that. It's fine to not even leave critique (which is also something I said!) but really, does it help anyone to just go "your art is so bad and doesn't look like the animal it's intended to be AT ALL, I hate it"? People have posted alternatives (it was even mentioned Wolfism is a CW releaser!) and others have posted their opinions without just outright telling the artist they HATE the change.
You guys act as if bashing artists is totally acceptable just because it doesn't fit your tastes when they redraw the work they're given. It's not.
If someone says "thanks I hate it" that's an opinion they're entitled to have. You can always ignore it if you disagree. If nobody responds, it will get lost in all the other commentary.
If you choose not to ignore it, you have the option to elevate the conversation by acknowledging that they're genuinely upset and politely asking them why they feel that way.
The other option is to say things like "go get your eyes checked" or "nobody uses that item, not even you" or "l m f a o woof" or "I'm not convinced they know what a wolf is".
When you choose to dismiss and mock the person on the other side of the screen, that is guaranteed to make the conversation more unpleasant. I find it difficult to believe that people who say things like this actually expect positive results from them.
the face and paws on the new pendant wolf are... nnnno. completely changes the expression and feel of the whole thing
also, this is a site full of magic animal mashup hybrids, why are some of y'all angry we want stylistic choices over absolute realism and any negative feelings about these items make us bad people who "need their eyes checked"?
So. I preferred the sharper incu wings (but I'm partial, since I used those guys for years and years AND YEARS and they look more like the other other ones now. F ) as well as liked the not-as-puffy/[sub]more unisex[/sub] succ wig, & liked the tattoos looking bold/thick, because I liked layering them as a pattern too. Would also love to see any updated tails being made as a single item, since we can easily layer them behind the legs/clothes now. :d
Pretty much, there's nothing all that wrong with any of the new ones, I just liked some things about the older ones more.
Except... will forever miss the little broken-looking line down the middle of the old hearts. :( Made them look more like it was false love being given, since that's kind of the whole deal with that theme. oh well.

I think the positioning of the Woodcutters wolf is much nicer, but I did really love the coloring.
not everyone HAS to give a detailed artists critique on why they don't like it and as previously stated by a STAFF member nonetheless to not attack people over an opinion. stated their opinion. "Thanks I hate it" and you go off telling them to get their eyes checked. If you look at most comments after your own lots of people were very much passionate over their dislike for it. This site is honestly mostly furries. 90% of people are trying to say how it could be fixed. Someone ACTUALLY posted a fix for the wolf, because honestly? Coming from me? The new wolf does look lazy, its feet are FAR too large and its face is entirely too large, in less than 24 hours another user named Akita fixed it themselves... so say what you want no one is DIRECTLY hate messaging the artist and this is a place where people can speak about the new revamps.. Not everyone has to leave a detailed explanation on their dislike for it. Though its quite obvious why there is so much distaste for it. People are allowed to have opinions and if you so dislike someone "Attacking the artist" then I advise you follow the motto you have set out for others.

- Not everyone who has a negative opinion feels like going into a detailed critique, and that's okay.
Not everyone who has negative feelings will even be able to articulate what they don't like about something--particularly not if they're genuinely upset. If something someone owns and actively uses has been changed and they don't like it, I don't think it's right for you to tell them to shut up if they can't/don't/won't give an art-school critique and are visibly angry.
Whether or not they're getting paid, I think the site artists understand that not everyone will like everything, and also that people who are upset when cash shop items are involved may even have paid real money for those.
- This isn't the first time I've seen you mock someone for having an opinion that you disagree with. It doesn't add anything positive to the conversation. Has anyone ever changed their mind about something they really cared about because you made fun of them for caring?
- Why are you surprised that someone didn't respond to you nicely after you told them that they don't really use the item they're upset about? You may not have used the actual words, but the words that you did use strongly implied that the person you were talking to was a liar, and nobody likes that.
- You can't actually submit old site art for use as a CW. That's not how it works; that's called "art theft". CWs have to be new art that you have the legal right to use, either because you drew them or you purchased the rights to use the design.

I do see what people are a little puzzled about in regards to the wolf pendant though. The shading and coloring is beautiful, and the new angle shows more of the body which is an A++ in my book- But the new one's paws are comparatively larger and the body bulkier and more muscular than the old one, which isnt a bad thing!-But it has lost some of the sleekness and i guess elegance the old one had ( which i think ppl liked ). Also where the muzzle meets the forehead, which is usually fine for most canines, but usually wolves ( and the old version! ) had for lack of a better word, a flatter?? lol face which did give it a more wolf-like appearance ( again, which i think ppl liked ).
I scribbled a little thing, which is not at all perfect, but it does implement some of the points listed above while still retaining most of the original of the new vers., for ppls consideration. o

As I mentioned in my last comment, the Subeta artists most likely do this work out of passion for the site rather than the pay. Now, if they want to correct me, go for it.
When it comes to item revamping and receiving feedback, which would you prefer? "I think this would fix what is wrong" along with an actual analysis of the style and anatomy, "I'm not a big fan but it is what it is" and leave it be/find an alternative, or "wow I hate this, it looks nothing like what it's supposed to be"?
If you're a reasonable person who isn't looking to tear someone down, you'll either do the first or second. People can dislike revamps - that is 100% fine! - but it's when you turn into an unapologetic asshole right off the bat that's the problem.
The artists are NOT punching bags that feel nothing when people are saying that their work sucks and that they can't draw this, that, or the other thing. They are trying their best, and while Subeta IS a business, the customers should hold a certain level of respect when the employees are genuinely trying. It's a give-and-take and honestly, props to the artists who can take those inconsiderate hits. A ton of artists already suffer from doubting themselves.
If you really don't like a revamp/release then help the artist in some way eather than get nasty because you don't like what direction they went in.
