Let your pride flag fly with these new items from Quentin's Quest Shop!
love the labrys flag <3 Thank you <3
Thank you all! ^_^
These are awesome~ I like these better than the sashes, which i had a hard time making it look good.
This post explains the orange/pink lesbian flag straight from the user who made it. I really like this one over the pink one, the stripes actually have meaning instead of just being pink.
Love the use of the orange/pink lesbian flag! Hope the old lesbian pride item will eventually be updated to match?
( especially since I prefer the 7 stripe version of the flag personally ahaha )
I love these flags! I dressed up my HA with mine :D
Quentin said *LGBT+ rights
Quentin said LGBT rights ;)
Yaaaaas! I've been waiting for these. About a month late on the delivery though. ??
Thanks for the cute little flags!
Just because it isn't fluid for you doesn't mean it can't be for others. I also don't think this is the time or place for you to be trashing labels and telling people their identities aren't valid. Subeta got rid of the debate forum for a reason...
Are such pretty color schemes. ... I wonder how they'd look on my
Nonbinary and genderfluid identities are real regardless of your feelings.
Quite a few sexual identities overlap, i.e. Bi and Pan, but that doesn't make them "unnecessary".
What's the difference between labrys and lesbian?
Just because you're part of the community yourself doesn't mean you can speak for the feelings of every single other person involved. Just because you personally don't feel that way about your own gender or sexuality doesn't mean that other people are lying when they say they do feel that way.
Anyway, thanks for the cool flags ~
Gender isn't fluid Yikes fam

Thank you for these! They're awesome.
Hope everyone being nasty in the comments has a bad day though
Thank you for putting the meaning of each flag in the description. I always confuse the trans and lesbian ones for some reasons. I really like them, although as as the sash its feels a bit disrespectful for me to use them as I dont identify with any of them and I dont like the idea of using them just as another accesory. I hope everyone else enjoys them :3
Gender isn't fluid otherwise trans people wouldn't have issue with being their assigned gender at birth, it's probably fluctuating dysphoria. And genderqueer isn't really a necessary identity since the nonbinary label exists. Now for the influx of people to attack a trans dude for his medically based opinion...
No problem! Yea, I think the transition was a bit confusing for a lot of people, since it happened fairly quickly and a lot of different flags were proposed as alternatives.
Thank you for more pride items, staff! Regardless of any arguments, I'm glad to see more. I was a bit disappointed they aren't the huge ones and are just small handheld things, but still they're nice ^^
your name doesn't come from it, but Clovis is Schneizel's brother in the anime my name comes from, and it's interesting to see them together again
oh, I see. I thought the orange version wasn't so used because of the similarity with the lipstick flag. Thanks
The lesbian striped flag used here is actually the alternative flag that many people have adopted since finding out the original flag creator was super racist. The red/darker pink stripes were substituted for the orange stripes, and many people liked it because it was different enough from the original, but still similar enough that it was recognizable as a lesbian pride flag.
Thank you so much for these!! I only wish real life clothing offered as many lesbian options as Subeta does. <3
I love ALL of these! <3
Oh, okay, maybe Labrys is hated because of that 's explanation about TERF appropriation, ugh...
The colors are often based on symbolism, but sometimes it's just because the creator thought they looked nice together! For example, the transgender pride flag has blue, pink and white stripes, which the creator has said stand for transgender women (pink), transgender men (blue), and nonbinary/genderless people (white). In comparison, the nonbinary flag has yellow (for those that feel their gender is completely outside the binary of "pink" and "blue"), white (for those who have many different genders), purple (for those that feel their gender is a mix of male and female), and black (for those who feel they are genderless/lack gender completely, since black is the absence of color or light).
These are just some examples, but, yea, generally the colors are based on symbolism, and the flags that are used most often are simply those that have become the most popular among the relevant community. :)
It's interesting to me how it changes over time. I've seen more reference to the labrys flag being the less TERFy one recently, probably due to deliberate reclaiming. But that only makes Subeta giving users a choice even better.
Labrys came first... the other flag was adopted after because it was more flag-like (only stripes). It's often called "lipstick lesbian flag" and a lot of lesbian friends hate that flag because it was related to the "lipstick lesbians", who sometimes are homophobic with the more masculine lesbians. Also, the flag creator was racist and that's why it's not the best flag imo. More about it: /a-lesbian-flag-for-everyone-cef397b89459">LINK. In this link there's a "new lesbian flag", but I don't think it was widespread. I don't know why the Labrys one is so hated, but it seems to be the most accepted one.
Also, the colors for flags have a lot of different origins, some of them kinda depict what the flag creator(s) thought about the identity (like the bi flag, where blue and magenta unites in the center to create lilac), and other flags represent characteristics of that identity; pride flag (which was adopted by gays as well -- for some reason), for instance, has the following meanings: red (life), orange (healing), yellow (sunlight), green (nature), blue (harmony) and violet (spirit).
Subeta is moving away from real world stuff. So I highly doubt we will see anymore country flags as these countries don't exist on subeta. That is always why we have a subeta version of holidays.
quentin is busy doing quentin things
Isilven answered the first question about the Lesbian flags just above your post for you :)
As for how colors are determined: those are the flag designs that have taken on the most widespread use within the community. Folks designed them and they took off - sometimes colors symbolize something within them, sometimes they don't (or we don't all know what all the colors mean). A lot is preference as there are alternate color patterns/colors/etc for each community within the broader community. I, for instance, tend to prefer the rainbow that includes the brown and black stripes, but it's still less commonly used than the version here for standard pride.
does anyone know the background/history of who and when the colors of each sexuality/gender identity were chosen? I always wondered
Huge missed chance to have Quentin be the one doing the news today.
For those wondering, the Labrys flag is a really really old lesbian flag from before we started using the striped system. Be cautious though, as TERFs have tried to basically steal the symbol away from lesbians and use it for themselves :
Thank y'all so much for the rep, staff! Cannot wait to fly the genderfluid flag :3
Two questions I have: why are there to different lesbian flags? I’m not familiar with the labrys one. And my other question is how are the colors determined for each type? I don’t know if this is an easy question to answer. I was just curious
I looooooove these so much!! In the future could we possibly get some agender love as well? ♥

Also seconding having alternative versions for the other hand so we can wear more than one! :)
SCREAM omg I love these
the Labrys Pride Flag gives me life I'd love to see country flags one day! I know there are 3 already (USA, Canada and Mexico) but I'd love to see more
No worries, I do understand how it can be. But for what it's worth there are multiple users behind the scenes (staff + mini mods) that are part of the LGBT+ community, and plenty of allies. While errors may happen, there's little to worry over.
Ignoring all arguments cause these are lovely. I love these and if someone doesn't have the quest points to get their pride flag(s) of choice, please comment me, I don't have a TON of quest points but I have enough for a few at least.
(Also staff, please consider prioritizing a revamp of the pride sashes. Several of them, including the rainbow, have colors out of order, and their incredibly thick line art makes them nearly impossible to pair gracefully with most HAs)
Ohh updated lesbian flag with the orange gradient! I love it :D
Quentin is nonbinary.
Thank you for the clarification. I don't know a whole lot about Subeta lore so this was initially giving me red flags.
No thanks, I'd rather stay ashamed.
Quentin is an asexual genderless NPC that wants to be friends with literally everyone "despite" having clear connections with the underworld and other side. There's possibly no better place to put these items. But I, a very gay man with the username that means Death and has multiple death-related pets, am willing to hear why it would be a concern to be associated with death.
it's because Quentin is canonically NB...
I really like these - would it be possible to get a second set in the other hand in the future (so folks can wear multiples)? ALSO, I love y'all and I'd still love to see big hanging flags behind us (or like, giant held ones) for these too ❤️
My parents taught me to keep what consenting adults do private. Not offended by what the above do but so offended by all the flag waving and attention seeking about personal and private matters.
