Good morning, are you ready to move on? As I said, Blake and I have (yawn) worked through the night and I can feel good about letting you enter that room. The next puzzle is ready for you to complete - we figure that we should leave that task to you, as you’ve been trusted with they keys and the puzzles so far.

Boss Info! (will also be on boss page, if you'd prefer not to be spoiled)

Tomorrow, there will be three separate six-hour-long* boss battles. You are welcome to participate in all three and to battle using multiple pets. However, each pet's cumulative damage against only one boss (the one they damaged the most) will count.

These three bosses have identical stats and deal the same amount of damage, and no one boss has any advantage over the others. Start times for each respective battle will be approximately 6pm, 2am, and 10am Subeta time.

Prizes will be awarded based on total damage dealt and also to the best damage-dealers in each tier. The tier-specific prizes for tiers 1-8 and tiers 9-13 are different, and there will be no "double dipping" for the top-in-tier prizes; these will be awarded only to your highest-level participating pet in each tier range. (For example, if you have a tier 1 pet, a tier 9 pet, and a tier 11 pet and all three are among the best damage dealers for their tier, the tier 11 pet and tier 1 pet will be awarded the top prize for their tiers, but the tier 9 pet will not; the prize will go to the next person's pet instead. All other prizes will be awarded to the tier 9 pet as usual.)

*Six hours is simply an estimate, as it's impossible to be precise when predicting overall damage dealt during boss battles. We may tweak the first boss's HP if necessary for timing, but any changes will also be reflected in subsequent bosses. The second and third bosses will not be tweaked and will last as long as they last.

And come on people, just because you are free on the weekends doesn't mean everyone is. If we all had the same shifts, shit wouldn't get done. the world doesnt stop to party on the same days, many people's weekend is literally in the middle of the week.

People are whining because this wasn't on a weekend as if there aren't people who work on the weekends too? I work tomorrow until 8p, so at least I'll get in some hits on the first boss hopefully. I'll be sleeping and heading to work again for the next two waves. I mean, why not just move it to all day Wednesday instead. I'm off work on Wednesday.

I was going to say maybe the boss was planned for next weekend and Elwood's deus ex machina moved it up, but I think he only saved us three days. That would mean it was originally scheduled for a Thursday. :x

Who thought that a monday was a good time to start a boss battle? Most of us are either in school or work or both, and mondays are notorious for being awful and busy and horrid and no one likes them. Why was this not planned for a weekend? I'm even on subeta time, which is EST, and these times are ridiculous. 6 pm - Oh look, I've been to classes and work and now I'm running to another class. 2 am - Uh ew, I'm sleeping. 10 am - Gee, I'm getting ready because I have classes and then work until 9 pm. So even if I can stop in for a couple minutes for more than one battle, only my pet's cumulative damage to one boss counts, so trying to get in hits on the two times that I'm not sleeping isn't even really helpful. Compared to how it would have been for a weekend: 6 pm - no problem. 2 am - no problem. 10 am - no problem. I'm NOT the only one pointing this out. You'd think that considering this is usually a big source of complaint (major timed plot battles set during busy days of the week as opposed to the weekend), this would have been revised this time around, but clearly not. Seriously wtf. It's cool and all that you thought to tell us when the boss would spawn in this time around, but that's pretty useless when the majority of users are busy...because you know...it's a monday.

So 6pm tomorrow (subeta time) means that 2am and 10am are the day AFTER tomorrow actually? So part of this will be on tuesday actually? If I got this right that's a total relief, since otherwise it would conflict with our fate rpg group and a good friend of mine visiting and that would just suck for me. I don't want to chose between two of my favourite hobbies and I wanna kick boss challenger's butt!

Aside from my personal time management: I love that we get clarification! Do this always, it's wonderful. Yes, it ruins part of the surprise, but it has proven that surprises are not a good idea when it comes to scedules and plot points. I think it would be better to have such a battle on a weekend, since at least most people will have time then, but I see how that would leave us with quite some time in between.

And the game is great, please keep it. <3

- All pets will earn loot based on their damage. There are special prizes for pets that score highest within their tier, and these are the ones with the "no double dipping" rule. If you have a tier 4 and a tier 7, and they both rank for top damage in their respective tiers, you will only receive the top prize for your T7 since both pets fall in the same tier range (1-8).

Your T7 and T12 are in different ranges (1-8 and 9-13), so you could conceivably earn top tier prizes for both.

Also, I love 2048 but I think it was probably a bad idea to put this puzzle up with almost no explanation and assume that everyone has played it. I've been trying to explain how to do it to parts of my team, and they're getting really confused.

Can I get clarification on the Boss? If I use my T7 and my T12, it sounds like only one pet's total damage (highest) will count towards my plot score, but I will get different prizes for each pet based on the tier they are in? Or do I only get a prize in a tier if I am among the top damage in that tier? Sorry, I am a bit confused and I am trying to decide how to spend the kinda limited time I have (boo work) to battle. Thanks! :)

i also wish we could keep playing 2048 and start trying for the achievement even after getting the silver key. if i had realized i couldn't get back to it for now, i would have kept playing after getting to 512 instead of clicking the "check puzzle" button as soon as i could :c
