New Years Shop!

The New Years Shop now has new items to celebrate 2016! Make sure to check out older tabs though, as we’ve added some old restockable New Years items! You can purchase items from this shop by using New Year Tokens, which you can get from the following quests: Carl, Cynthia, Cursed, Library, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Sagittarius, Sarah, and the Wizard. The New Year Tokens will stop going out on January 15th!

You can also get New Year Tokens via a common random event!

Today is the last day of Luminaire! Which means at 11:59pm, Mysterious Melody will close, fairies will stop visiting via Random Events, and Cursed Quests will stop giving out old Luminaire restockables.

We haven’t forgotten about Melody’s last few nights of items or the achievement! We’ll have a news post later in the day about this, sorry for the delay!

Tried doing a couple of quests but I have to give up on the errors for now ^_^. It's just too much stress after a bad day of real life. I hope things will be better for everyone tomorrow. Best wishes in getting quests and daily stuff done on the site kind subeta friends. I can't see any of the items in the New Years shop at all except for the ones listed in this news post. The shop page stalls out for me and never loads all the way sadly. I'm not worried though just mentioning it in case others have the same problems :).

it's not timed, you have a whole day to complete it. i don't even think it resets i.e. if you didn't complete it on one day you'll just pick up from where you stopped the next day? i think?

The tokens were always given out as quest prizes. The fact that they're also releasing them through a common random event means that they've taken the questing problems into serious consideration and found another safer method to add to the original method.

the amount of traffic we cause to the site is negligible compared to a DDoS attack. no one is being "forced" to do anything. quests will be fixed, and if it takes a bit, they will take that into account with the RE rates, quest drop rates, and the end date.

words are something I'm even worse with. it'll actually take me awhile to settle on a name.

Also, wouldn't forcing users to hang out and F5 pages a lot (for random events and attempts to quest) just make everything worse? The site isn't stable. I don't think its a great time to flood it.

This probably won't be a very popular opinion... ^^;

I would rather have New Years in July than continue to fight through errors and downtime. I'm just so tired of it. Why push users to do quests when there's so many issues with doing them right now? I just don't understand it. I would rather the staff concentrate on fixing problems than busying themselves with a stupid holiday. A holiday is just a holiday. It happens every year, and if necessary, it can be postponed.

The gifts, the celebrations, the apologies... It's appreciated, and I understand the staff's desire to keep users happy. But I am not the type of person to appreciate a gift midst chaos. I would rather these things come after the site is fixed and working properly so that I could enjoy them properly.

No Lumi tree gifts. Last day of Melody's Cottage was a mess. 502/504 errors. Issues with buying from user shops... And you release the New Years Tokens.

I'm sorry, I really just don't understand. :'(
