Featured Game: Net Gain!

The activities continue today with our first featured game to come from Riverside! If The Bug Game was offensive to your moral sensibilities, today's featured game Net Gain should prove to be much more peaceful (not to mention more relaxing)!

Charity doesn't have a whole lot of free time, but when she's not volunteering she enjoys a leisurely walk and some bug catching. (The bugs, of course, are released!) If you can beat her score of 50 there are up to 10 bonus EPICon points in it for you, but if not, you can still get points for doing your best! Don't forget that you can still earn up to 70 regular points per day by playing any combination of our EPICon games!

Additionally, don't forget to keep voting for your favorites in the Cosplay Contest! Your fellow cosplayers are depending on your votes to win!

I'd dig this game if the bugs were more responsive to the net.

haha thanks for the reply xD Who the hell knows! .. and I got to 66 and it isn't sending. AGAIN. This is really getting annoying. I just want this to be over ;_;

Many of times they just fly right by the net... even if positioned right in the middle. I don't get it... do some bugs need different parts of the net or something? BTW it takes patience to get to 100 (this game is very slow moving)... and the sP rewards are fairly low.

i'm not entirely sure, but maybe it's because one bug has a fixed trajectory and the other doesn't...?...if i remember correctly the bees fly straight and fast, but the butterflies have a tendancy to fly slowly and drift up and down...so even if they look as tho they're pretty much lined up together by the time they hit the net one bug is actually moving away from the other at a tangent and therefore not quite as lined up with the net as the other bug...?...i may well be putting way too much thought into this tho... lol

This game drives me insane. The bugs just go right through the net, even if it's positioned right in front of them. Perhaps fittingly, it's a very buggy game.

Someone please explain to me why, if I have two bugs in the same path, and together, (eg. a bee and a butterfly).. one goes through the net and one goes in? WTF. Also great.. I have a score of 50 and it's been 'sending the score' for several minutes now and it is not registering as points. THANK YOU GAME.

This is the worst game so far. Some bugs just fly right past your net when it looks like they should go in. It's frequently impossible to catch two bugs that are coming at you at different speeds. The pace is mind-numbingly slow. And all that boredom and annoyance for just a few hundred sP? I can't believe anyone thought this game was event-worthy as it is right now.

yikes. The bug catching window of that net is awfully narrow. and that drives me crazy. Cannot get to 50 this time. I've played and played and played and no luck. But the music is super happy! :D

Grr, Tubular was 1 of my favorites but just lost 2 games in a row because there were no moves left. Wasted all that time. Frustrating.

Since there is absolutely NO way I can play 90 games every evening when I get home from work, I guess I'll just have to pick the 4-5 games I like best and play those. Which leaves out the raceway since it was just annoying. Darn.

This game is ridiculously bad. The bugs fly at all different paces and if you dont get right in the middle of the net, they fly right past. The game is so slow and the points system is ridiculously difficult to get the 50 points you need. I tried three times and was bored, frustrated, and done with this game. I'll just play the bonus games today.

For me 9 out of 10 are misses I can't avoid, because the bugs just fly past the net. That is so often there's no really point in trying to collect the points... not sure if this is a browser issue, I'm using Chrome. I guess I'll just play the past games, but I really hope you guys can do something about this. :c

I find this game rather annoying, whenever you don't get exactly the middle of the net, those bugs get away. Very frustrating!

Bugs flying right through the middle of the net very regularly is pretty irritating.

Thank you, though, for adding a toggle for the music. ^^

Worst game yet. I tried it once, not gonna bother with it again, to heck with the bonus points. Why so many games that take 10 min or even more per game? I don't have hours and hours to sit here and get 70 points at the rate some of these games take to play :P

this voting thing is letting me down big time. i've only been home enough to vote three times and so far i've had to choose between some of the most random avatars that i don't even understand the references to. ): i knew i wouldn't have time to play any of the games but having to wait for an hour between each vote means i don't even get to be active with that. there really should have been more clearly defined categories and limits. so far it feels like the cosplay contest (which is a HUGE part of real life cons) is just secondary to earning points by grinding games. sigh.

WTF?! Most of the time the bugs just fly trough the net or there come 3 bugs at the same time so you can't do anything to not miss 2 of them. Highest score was 16 for me, really "relaxing" game...

I'm amazed everybody is so surprised about bugs flying through the net - same problem as when it was first introduced, naturally.

Why don't we get an alert for the new cosplay set, if we choose not to vote for anything in specific rounds? Some references are simply selfdrawn pics of the avatar?!? Was there a preselection or did every contribution get thrown in? What about the with or without Custom Clothing categories? A little more info would have been nice :(

Hahaha, the Bug Game is fun to play, seeing as those bugs from that game look more like pests to me - they look yucky and horrible. Whilst the bugs in Net Gain are rather pretty to kill.

I don't really get the bug game. In a lot of the cases, my net is right in front of the bug, and it just flies right through. In my last game, I've had 6 out of 10 missed bugs flying through. I don't get what I'm doing wrong?

This game would be so much better if it didn't Suck. Bugs flying through the net was an awesome touch. Being able to move back & forth & not just up and down was cool as well. You know, If We Could move back and forth. Having one slow a** bug moving at turtle speed, it's getting soooo close to the air net & ZOOM there flys by Speedy Gonzales. The hell
