Featured Game: Subeku!

Hello again, EPICon fans!

I hope that everyone is having a fabulous time! Are you starting to get the hang of the current featured game? Well, you can still play it to earn some extra EPICon points, but I think you might be distracted by our all new featured game, Subeku! That's right, you will be testing your traditional gaming skills again with this classic logic puzzle. You can earn up to 10 EPICon points for trying your very best, and an additional 10 for winning!

What's that, you say? This seems like an early announcement? Well, I suppose it is! The convention staff want to give everyone as much time as possible to earn points on our featured games, and so we have decided to run featured games for a full 24 hours. In addition, Subeku will remain our featured game for the entire weekend, so be sure to rake in those bonus points!

Convention goers that are interested in entering this year's Cosplay Contest are reminded that there is now officially one week left to enter your costume. Whether you are just putting a costume together or putting the final touches on your perfect cosplay, there is still plenty of time to submit your entry.

Wow, so apparently a PHP function that is used in the building of the game board works totally differently on our dev server and our production servers... It's fixed now, though!

Alright, that was ten (eleven actually since either I messed up or the counter didn't count a game I won) for today. I do like the 10k sp for winning. I may come back later on to play but I have to finish my quests and the five games I still have left for stealth bomber. Now I'm glad I sat down with a child's version board game of sudoku sometime ago and forced myself to learn how to play.

I kind of wish after inputting a number it would go to the next box. I kept trying to type a whole line of numbers into one box.

Ganemi, I just tried (after a good half hour of actually attempting to play the game and use a few hints but giving up because it was useless XD), and it definitely counted towards my totals for the achievement AND my daily scores.

I finally managed to get 10 games played and won after several hours and a headache. But it was worth the 10 points! I just hope I can keep this up all weekend ^_^;

NoI don't know if it counts as a win, technically. I know for sure you won't get any price money through this, but not sure how it is handled with the points for EPICon. Would like to know that, too. :D

Garyx, even if some people get 100 wins today, they'll only get 10 points todat because the points are capped You can only get 10 per day on each game

Yay Sudoku! I love this game, even though I'm slow at it. It takes me an average of 15m to solve each puzzle...

This makes me wonder if there's going to be any point total subtraction for abusing the hint button? I mean, if they're getting heaps (top high score has over 100 wins right now and the game has only been out what, 9 hours?) of hint wins and related points how is there any way that we legitimate players can possibly keep up? I don't think the difference of gaining 10k sp makes up for what they'll be gaining in epicon points.

Wow 100 seems like a lot of wins. I think I can manage though! I love this game and ended up staying up until 1am to play it last night.

Great. It might be time consuming, but it doesn't rely on loading page after page and that's wonderful. o/ I just wish there were a way to mute the music.

I probably won't have time to play more than a game or two because I'm busy, but I really do like it.

I love this game, even though it's terribly time consuming. That said, I really don't have time to spend hours solving these for the few measly points you get. Going back to Stealth Bomber for the rest of the weekend. Hopefully the next game will be quicker paced!

After playing a few of these, I have to say the game is nicely put together. Some computer versions you almost have to fight with, but these controls feel like I'm playing with pencil and paper. Congrats to the designer -- who I'm guessing is also someone who likes to play.

one of those games I wish there was a beginner on ;) having a minimum of 4 or 5 things you just have to guess on and then spend some time before seeing if it's right...is too much work for 10 or 20 points for me. ;) but then I've never been good at this game anyway. Even the ones on the trivias had a column or row that made at least one of them easier to figure out.

Legitimately crying because I'm horrible at Sudoku and just wasted like an hour trying to get one game done only to see I'd messed up somewhere but couldn't tell where I'd gone wrong or how to fix it. Considering I missed the stickers and didn't seem to get anything from the Stealth Bomber either(though I played it enough to get achievements) I am completely discouraged now about participating in this event.
