Featured Game: Subeku!

Hello again, EPICon fans!

I hope that everyone is having a fabulous time! Are you starting to get the hang of the current featured game? Well, you can still play it to earn some extra EPICon points, but I think you might be distracted by our all new featured game, Subeku! That's right, you will be testing your traditional gaming skills again with this classic logic puzzle. You can earn up to 10 EPICon points for trying your very best, and an additional 10 for winning!

What's that, you say? This seems like an early announcement? Well, I suppose it is! The convention staff want to give everyone as much time as possible to earn points on our featured games, and so we have decided to run featured games for a full 24 hours. In addition, Subeku will remain our featured game for the entire weekend, so be sure to rake in those bonus points!

Convention goers that are interested in entering this year's Cosplay Contest are reminded that there is now officially one week left to enter your costume. Whether you are just putting a costume together or putting the final touches on your perfect cosplay, there is still plenty of time to submit your entry.

Wow, so apparently a PHP function that is used in the building of the game board works totally differently on our dev server and our production servers... It's fixed now, though!

Even on easy I still suck at this game. >.< I've always hated this style of game. Glad some really like it, think I'll just give up. Have tried multiple times with no luck.

Ok, so each game takes me an hour to solve because I really don' like this game and therefore I don't play it well. Doing 10 Stealth bombers takes about an hour ( or more with lag ) When am I supposed to work or eat or sleep?

Back at playing and up to 22 wins. Really like the changes to the game and that you get 15,000 Sp for winning a hard one. :)

I'm getting a weird problem where the hint button keeps getting stuck.. :U Testing it on Very Easy with Google Chrome on Windows 7. I'll have hints left but suddenly they'll stop working. The hint number count doesn't go down nor is anything added to the board. :U The button just basically stops working.

I can't finish a game no matter what difficulty option choose. The game locks up and I can't move on any square at all even after clicking the gray area like the game suggests. It was fun to try anyway but I guess I'll be sitting this one out ^_^.

I think the difficulty thing is alright, and the limited hints too. It wasn't fair the way it was before.

The only real problem I'm having is if I open up something in a new tab using a link on the tab the game is on I then can't input numbers in at all. Nothing I do seems to fix this and I've had to abandon at least 3 games because of it.

I'm really disappointed that people have whined and complained about the difficulty. It's a critical thinking game, its not made to be easy. P:

sudoku is seriously no fun. even though i missed the feature i satisfied myself by playing the last game for the 10 wins achievement instead. :l

I think it's a little unfair to have the bonus points on medium puzzles and up if there is no way to tell the level until after you finish. The puzzles take too long for this to be ok....

Some indication on how hard the puzzle is would be great. I don't want to waste my time on the ones lower than med if I'm not going to get bonus points.

Just took about half an hour to finish a game and didn't get anything at all for it, I'm guessing it's because the difficulties were being added as I was playing? :(

I've won twice, but it took FOREVER...and I don't think I got any points for not winning, which I thought I was supposed to. Eager to see the revamps, because at this rate it'll be next December before I hit 10 wins.

I just completed the game using only 5 hints. I've never played this game before, so it's possible. Using the notes mode and taking down what numbers it could be HELPS! It's not a game that's going to be done and over with in 5 minutes, you have to use your brain and time. Thanks subeta!

I really dislike Sudoku games - please give me Cybill Sledding or Matlal's Jewels - not to mention the game will not load properly for me. All I get is pretty music with the toggle game buttons on a slate grey screen. I would never play these games at a convention.

If you guys are having issues with the hints, try to wait a few seconds before asking for another one. I know when I was asking for hints if I clicked too quickly it would skip giving me one.

...Out of 5 hints, it gave me 4. And several of these 4 hints literally made it impossible to solve the grid, so--XAX;

This is the first time I've been active for an EPICon, and I'm liking it so far! :)

I was wondering though, do you guys ever use any of the preexisting Game Room games as Featured Game of the Day? For example I quite enjoy the Subeta Tiles game, but it really needs some love (and a facelift!). :D

I'm not adverse to sudoku on my own terms with time. But 100? Pfft yeah, that's not inspiring me to play it at all. At least I have an excuse - can't play it on my tablet so won't be completing it at all.

Wendy - I believe they said Stealth Bomber would be here forever, so I'd think it'd be the same with Subeku.

Twisted - If you just hit "New Game" or whatever it is, you should get a participation point. I know I had my participation points filled before my winning points. XP

can get a record button so if we just suck and flail our way through a game we at least get the Played point? I dont even care about bonuses for this game, like with Bomber when we lost it still got us our point and we could move on.

Okay, I love Sudoku and all, Subeta... And hell, I used to think I was fairly good at it. Until this game happened. Can we please have a difficulty selection? The grids in this game resemble the hard-very hard difficulty in my puzzle books, and for people who aren't good at this game even in the easy levels, this is expecting a bit too much don't you think?

I realize we're supposed to work for our points but this is discouraging when some tasks are just plain impossible for some users.

I don't mind the game (I actually used to hate it before I forced myself to play it for a whole day) but it is terribly slow sometimes. Good thing we have a whole weekend to do it (even though I'd rather just have some other game to play haha) because it's going to take forever to get the achievement. Too bad our points are capped daily. :/
