May Monthly Collection

[item=Eagle Eye: Possibilities]

It seems like May\'s monthly collection is a time capsule to another age, and what dark and scary days they were! It was the time of the hammer. Portable monstrosities and girls named after spices roamed freely, and some infection called the Macarena swept the globe- it\'s a miracle that anyone escaped alive.

Note: The Dreamy Heartthrob Poster and TV Hotties Calendar transform into each other.

Ohmai. I was a mid-90s kid, but I never watched TV so I don't get half the references :'D But man, Pokemon cards and Tomagotchi and slinkies and pogs and everything in that box, I had most of that stuff....ahhh, memories :) I remember when Pokemon cards first came out and they banned them at school :o

- Haha but we HAD most of these things!! Or LIVED them :) And such a great job was done putting them all in. - I agree! That is so JTT hair.

I need so much more CSC.

Although I seriously doubt the MLP reference was to that new MLP...pretty sure it would be one from the original collection/series. Just sayin.

: Do you mean you bought ONE collection? You only get to choose one item out of each collection, so if you clicked the book, you don't get the others.

As a child born in mid-1990, I am loving all of this!

Some of these items are a definite must-have, purely for nostalgia's sake. I've been staring at the Shoebox of Treasured Memories for a good ten minutes now, trying to pick out all the references. So far I've found Pound Puppies, Furby, Beanie Babies, Pokemon, Star Wars (the tri-force), Slinkies, the Troll doll, the My Little Pony, the rollerskate (or is that one of those skateshoes? I had a pair growing up XD), dear Pluto as a planet again, the VHS, the Gameboy, Jurassic Park, the boombox, Ghostbusters... I almost missed the Nostalgic Illumis.

Is that a Gigapet I spy on the car mat floor (I had both as a kid!)? And am I mistaken, or is that a LaLa Telletubby in the open cabinet? So many great references!

The only one I don't get is the Chuckle Me Charlie.

: Haha that's awesome! I'm so excited. I might actually run out and buy this now just for that! (Well, not just for that since the whole thing is awesome buttt) Really, REALLY weird question: Did you happen to try to set them up so base set Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur were the top row? Being the total Poke-nerd that I am, it looks that way to me. xD
