((Sounds great, 3 moons is good for Mistkit, she'd probably be weaning, right? And yay for Gladepaw! Think he'd think of her as his mother, then? Also, perhaps Foxpaw and Ebony ate too much prey together before they went to sleep? I can imagine them both having a voratious appetite and fueling each other in it! Erm, do you think Nettlesmoke and Whitefire would meet in the Dark Forest (as well as every half moon)? Also, would he be from HawkClan originally, and therefore be a believer in the Dark Forest? Otherwise it's probably kind of unlikely for a FalconClan cat to visit there, you know? Unless he was just odd. He'd probably also need to not tell many cats, too, because they worship the Dominant and the Shadow Cats. At the half moons, he could join Nettlesmoke in the Dark Forest, 'cause I think med cats wouldn't reveal something like that and if he were from HawkClan it would give him talons in lots of places and with lots of 'gods' if that makes sense?))
SparrowClan {Slatestorm} With a yowl, Slatestorm turned, annoyed. Foxpaw, the sneaky little apprentice, had jumped out on him and her mentor. The tom stared at her for a moment, forgetting what he'd been doing. Then he remembered; trying to stop Cobrafang finding out about Plumpetal. It seemed he was too late, so he shot a stare at the tom that said 'do not tell her anything' and turned on the apprentice.
"Foxpaw, you shouldn't jump out on cats like that," he said, soberly. "However, you can do me a favour and join me on a patrol. Cobrafang is busy, but you can invite another warrior, and I'll let you choose, just do it quickly. You can demonstrate to me how well you hunt." He paused, thinking about his own apprentice. Where was that cat? "Have you seen Cougarpaw lately? She'll be joining us."
{Skylark} The tom had only just stretched and groomed himself when, just before he could get up from his nest to find something to do, a warm body slipped into his nest beside him. For a second he thought it was Nightwing, but it was an entirely different kind of sweet scent that washed over him. Lilacpaw, their adoptive daughter, had laid down beside him. The sandy tom began to purr happily. "You know," he whispered affectionately, trying not to wake the other cats. "You shouldn't come into the warrior den without permission. But I'll let you off this once." Skylark liked to tease her. The two had a pretty good relationship; father and daughter as well as friends. And he truly cared for her.
HawkClan {Adderpaw} Seeing Sandpaw exit the den, Adderpaw watched his brother cross the clearing to the fresh kill pile. Having found the warriors' conversation to be deeply uninteresting, he decided to entertain the company of his leader-disliked brother. He trotted over to the fresh kill pile. "Pick something nice for me, would you please, Rosepaw?" he asked of his brother, with a teasing stroke up the tom's back with his tail. Sure, he could flirt with toms, but why would you want to touch the things with a cedar branch romantically?
WrenClan {Strawpatch} With a chuckle, Strawpatch rounded a corner of the nursery at the sound of panicked mewling. A kit had poked its head out of the den. The beige tom forced his mind to recall which of his seemingly hundreds of nieces and nephews this one was. When her eyes showed in his direction, however, he remembered; Oceankit. "Your mother has gone to get you food. Quit mewling, you're disturbing other cats," he mewed, dryly. Begrudgingly, he continued, "I'll take you over there, if you want?"
{Amberkit and Bearkit} Amberkit glanced at Bearkit when Snowykit showed up. Where did her other cousin want to go, and what was he planning to do? Amberkit watched his wiggling rump and terrible hunter's crouch and got a bad feeling. Bearkit watched his brother and his tummy tingled; partly in excitement, partly foreboding. He wasn't supposed to go anywhere a warrior couldn't see him and had given up a while ago trying to play with his siblings and cousins. "I'm not allowed to play," he said, quietly. The tom kit was much better friends with Amberkit than he was with Snowykit, not that he didn't like his brother.
"Yeah, be nice, Snowykit!" Amberkit exclaimed to the other tom. "You know Bearkit is too ill, don't tease him by telling him about how much fun you're going to have!"
"No, it's okay," Bearkit was very quiet. Amberkit thought he was far too resigned to his fate. "If you stay in camp, Snowykit, I can watch?" he ventured. He liked seeing his denmates happy, at least.
((I'll wait for to post Blackrose before I post Fox again))
[SparrowClan] >> Tawnypaw Tawnypaw purred back when Ebony said that she knew she would have helped her no matter what, and rubbed against her friend's pelt affectionately. She laughed when she mentioned that the prey was delicious. "I bet so!" she mewed to the she-cat, grinning. She laughed again when she watched Ebony pull the mouse over to where she sat, and it wiggled back and forth like a snake.
"I know right?" Tawnypaw mewed to her friend, grinning. "She's huge! Silverpool says that there's definitely more than one, but it's hard to tell exactly how many kits there are." She leaned down to take a bite of her prey. When her friend mentioned Goldenflower being grumpy, she sighed. "Yeah, she seems pretty upset," she mewed to Ebony. "I can't imagine why. The kits will be adorable! She seems really sad for some reason though, and scared. I guess that's to be expected though, coming from HawkClan and all." She leaned down to take another bite of the mouse, then swallowed. "Silverpool told me that a lot of queens are scared before giving birth, maybe she's just worried about her kits or something," she mewed with a shrug.
[SparrowClan] >> Nightwing The small black she-cat padded into the camp with prey held between her jaws. She nodded at Tawnypaw and Ebony as she approached them, but they were so engaged in their conversation that they didn't seem to really notice her. She heard something about prey, then something having to do with Goldenflower, most likely her coming kits since Tawnypaw was the medicine cat apprentice. She shrugged to herself, then headed off to the warrior's den. After hunting all night, a nap would do her well.
She padded directly over to Skylark, and was surprised to see Lilacpaw there, snuggling up against the sandy-furred tom. "Good morning Lilacpaw, Skylark," she mewed to the two. She laid down on Lilacpaw's other side, so that the young apprentice was in between herself and Skylark. She began to lap at Lilacpaw's fur, which was sticking up in some places. "You need to groom yourself," she murmured in between licks. She didn't mind helping the she-cat to clean herself up a little bit. It was a relaxing thing to do, and would give her some time to rest before going out on another patrol. ((there you go ;] ))
[HawkClan] >> Boneface "Okay, great," Boneface mewed to his brother, nodding. He had never been one to be very affectionate, even to his own brother, but he knew that Badgerclaw knew that he appreciated his efforts to help him train his sons. It was more than she had ever done. The good for nothing she-cat had left him and her kits behind to go frolicking with some lazy SparrowClan tom. She hadn't shown her face since, and it was a good thing too. He would kill Goldenflower if he ever saw her again.
"WrenClan would be helpless against your might, I'm sure," Boneface mewed to his brother, smirking coldly. He looked into his brother's blue eyes when he said he had all the time in the world to spend with him, and he dipped his head. "I appreciate it," he mewed to him. "And I would do the same for you, if you were in need of my help or the help of my kits."
He turned to look when Sandpaw and Adderpaw left the apprentice's den. Of course the toms were moving faster than the she-cats, what else was new? The lazy, good-for-nothing... "Move it along, she-cats!" he snarled, loud enough for the she-cats and Crowpaw to hear. "You know your father doesn't like to wait for long!"
[WrenClan] >> Coralshine and Mudkit She paused when she heard Amberkit running up, whining about being left behind. She waited patiently for the little she-kit to catch up. When she began whining about the prey not being enough, Coralshine sighed. She knew it wouldn't be, but the kits didn't understand! She hadn't caught any of this herself, and hated to take what the other warriors had spent so much time trying to catch... Then Bearkit arrived, and said that he could help carry something. Coralshine turned to him, frowning. Bearkit got sick a lot, most days he was in the medicine den. He looked better today, but still... "Oh, you don't need to do that Bearkit," she mewed to the little tom-kit, smiling kindly. "I'll be able to carry a few more pieces."
She padded away then, and approached the fresh-kill pile. She could hear the kits mewling behind her about something, but blocked them out. It probably wasn't important anyways. When Fox told her to get more prey, she looked up, surprised. "O-okay, I will," she mewed to Fox, bowing her head respectfully. Their leader made her a little nervous, but she tried not to show it. "Thank your warriors for catching all this, the kits and I really do apprecate having something to fill our bellies." Auburnwing approached then, asking a question, and she decided to leave him and the leader in peace. She smiled at Fox, then scooped up three more pieces of prey, so that they had five total. She hated taking so much, especially at one time, but Fox had been right. She had kits to feed, and herself. "Mudkit, Amberkit, Snowykit, help me carry this back. Would you like to help too Oceankit?" Another of her kits was calling for her. She knew that at least some of them would want to help. The kits often loved to help out with little tasks, it made them feel important. (everyone)
SparrowClan {Ebony} A passing she-cat nodded at them and Ebony recognised her as Nightwing. There were so many cats in this Clan that she had had trouble learning all their names. She'd only had to remember the names of her siblings and father up until then. Ebony nodded at Nightwing, then turned back to her friend and nodded in agreement. "But maybe Goldenflower is scared that HawkClan will come after her?" she suggested. "I know I would be! They may come to take the toms of the litter for themselves, and Goldenflower would have to give up some of her kits, 'cause I don't know that we'd be able to contest their claim really." When she spoke about Clan politics, something that deeply horrified and interested her, Ebony seemed, somehow, to know what she was saying. "Afterall, SparrowClan took one of their queens, a source of new warriors, it seems that HawkClan would have some sort of claim over any of the kits that they want. Namely the tom kits." It wasn't a nice thought, but it made a bit of sense to her.
{Skylark} Skylark purred when his mate showed up. The beautiful black she-cat slipped in on Lilacpaw's other side and began to groom their adoptive daughter. For all her foreboding and worries, Nightwing was doing an incredible job as a mother, as he'd known she would. Her kind and caring nature made her perfect for motherhood, and he was determined to make her see it. Smiling at her over the top of Lilacpaw's head, he winked at her. "Long night?" he asked, knowing full well she'd been out all night. "You know, normal cats hunt during the day time," he teased.
HawkClan {Badgerclaw} He knew his brother was always appreciative of his help. Badgerclaw grinned a slightly-evil, but always-dashing grin at Boneface. "I'll be claiming a couple for the ranks of FalconClan one day, you know that," he said. "I'm sure you wouldn't mind if Adderpaw and Crowpaw rose to greatness, though. As many paws in as many prey as possible, you have." The other tom certainly was very manipulative, his claws stuck in all the Clans, it seemed. Boneface had the potential to be the next Dominant, Badgerclaw mused; and was it really a coincidence that he would share the same name as the current one? Still, Boneface seemed to have no motivation for such a spot, no matter what the large white tom said.
Badgerclaw chuckled when Boneface growled at his daughters. Crowpaw was taking too long dragging them out of their nests. The FalconClan warrior hoped earnestly that he wouldn't have to do this simple task for the apprentice. At least Sandpaw could get up quickly. If the she-cats didn't get up soon, they'd miss their chance to eat. "We must go soon, they'll have no time for breakfast," he said to Boneface. "Should I bring something for Crowpaw, or should we punish him for his tardiness?"
WrenClan {Bearkit, Amberkit and Fox} Amberkit stared at her mother; Coralshine had just said Bearkit didn't need to help them, then asked that her other kits would help. It seemed really unfair! "Come on Bearkit!" she said, quickly. "You can help me bring my piece in, then you can help me eat it."
Bearkit didn't mind that much, he knew he was too weak and sick to help much. He wouldn't want to make his former denmates ill. Somehow, though, they always recovered from sickness much more quickly than he did, and if he got ill and gave it to them, he was ill for far longer than they were. He didn't mind not having anything to do, really, he just wanted to be healthy. Bearkit nodded at Amberkit and padded towards Coralshine with her. Amberkit took a piece of prey from her mother, allowing Bearkit to grab a paw of the animal. The tom-kit really was a lot smaller than the other kits, the big vole they carried was almost the same size as he was.
Fox watched the kits messing around with prey. Coralshine should stop playing around and just carry the prey to the den and stop cluttering up the clearing with tiny half-cats. The other she-cat looked scared, worried, and the leader wondered why. "Coralshine, you are a she-cat and a queen. Toms live to serve you, do not forget that," Fox told the other she-cat. "You provide us with new warriors and therefore for the next however many moons, you are entitled to be hunted for." Why didn't Coralshine understand that. "Kits aren't able to hunt for themselves. When they are apprentices, you may return to hunting for yourself and they will need to be taught. Until then, eat what you like. I'll send Amberwing to get more if you eat too much."
((Shall we intro Savagestorm and Ivyhawk together? And shall we roll a die straight away, as we're already on the 3rd page?))
SparrowClan >> Tawnypaw and Pinepaw Tawnypaw nodded at Nightwing as she passed, then turned back to Ebony. "It could be that too," she mewed in agreement. "She's been here awhile now, but I still don't blame her for worrying about HawkClan. If I was her, I'd be terrified. Can you imagine?" The calico shivered. She bristled when Ebony said the toms might come and take the tom-kits, but knew that Ebony might be right. If they came for them, what would they be able to do? They would either have to fight or allow the kits to leave... "I certainly hope now!" Tawnypaw mewed. "Their lives will be so much better here... Hopefully HawkClan just leaves things as they are."
"What about HawkClan?"
Pinepaw padded up to the two she-cats, yawning. He had just been sleeping, and was just getting ready for the day. He blinked at Ebony, then Tawnypaw. The two were very close. If he wasn't with Ebony, then Tawnypaw usually was. He turned after a moment to grab a vole from the fresh-kill pile, then sat down in front of the two she-cats. He had no idea what they were talking about, but figured that one of the two would catch him up soon.
[SparrowClan] >> Nightwing "Yep, long night," she murmured to him, yawning. She rolled her eyes at his teasing, and stretched a paw over Lilacpaw to hit him on the head, playfully. "Normal?" she mewed, purring in amusement. "Since when have I been normal?" She smiled at him, then at Lilacpaw, her eyes glinting happily.
[HawkClan] >> Boneface Boneface nodded when his brother mentioned wanting two of his sons for FalconClan. Badgerclaw had made those intentions clear from the start. He really didn't mind the claim; as Badgerclaw said, he hoped that the two would rise to greatness. He knew that they had the talent to do it, and knew that they would belong to FalconClan one day. It would be good to have more connections in high places, especially if he decided to move clans someday. So far he was staying in his clan of birth, but once his kits were grown... Well, anything was possible once his kits were out of the way.
He turned to look at the apprentice's den, and frowned when Crowpaw still wasn't back. How long would this take? Surely the she-cats had heard him! "Get him something," the white tom eventually decided. "I want him ready for training today, and it's not his fault that my daughters can't seem to get up in the morning." Crowpaw was a bit too sympathetic to the she-cats in his opinion, but he wasn't going to punish him for what his lazy sisters were doing.
"Do you want something?" Boneface asked Badgerclaw, inclining his head towards the fresh-kill pile. "We might as well eat up and then get going."
[WrenClan] >> Coralshine and Mudkit Mudkit grabbed a piece of prey and stared at Fox while she talked to his aunt. The she-cat intimidated him, but she also fascinated him. Then Amberkit came and grabbed a piece of prey, so he glanced at Coralshine before heading back to the nursery.
Coralshine stared up at Fox, and nodded. Her words did make her feel a little bit better... Although the bit about the toms she didn't completely agree with. Why should they have to serve her? The toms were needed to create kits just as much as she was. And her brother proved that a tom can mother kits just as well as a female could, so she didn't really see why they needed to be treated so differently. She said nothing about that though, and just smiled. "Thank you Fox," she mewed. "I'll try to remember that. It's just strange, not hunting for myself and all. I'm getting used to it though." When she said that she would send Amberwing out for more prey if it was needed, she nodded. She knew that prey might be needed after her family ate, there were so many of them! (everyone)
(( you need to remove Dreampaw from the list of WrenClan apprentices. ^^))
[[ WrenClan ]]
---{{** Wildpaw: Apprentice and Vixenpaw: Apprentice**}}---
Before Wildpaw could say or do anything Fox was suddenly in his face. His ears went back slightly and he nodded quickly at her command. “I’ll see you later.” He mewed to Riverpaw, hurrying towards the warriors den. “Hey.” He called. “Fox said to tell you she’s taking all the female apprentices out for battle training.” He realized he was probably waking some, if not all, of the female warriors up but what choice did he have? He couldn’t ignore a direct order from Fox herself, after all.
He looked over in time to see Vixenpaw padding towards him. “Vixenpaw!” He shouted and she jumped a little, looking towards him with wide eyes. “Sorry.” He mewed quickly, hurrying over. “It’s just that Fox is looking for you.” “M-me?” She asked, shuffling her paws. “Well, not just you, but all the female apprentices.” Wildpaw mewed, hoping to calm her down a bit. It seemed to work and she nodded at him, an appreciative look in her eyes, which was something he never really saw from any other she-cat. “Ok, thanks, Wildpaw. I’ll go get Littlepaw.” She dipped her head slightly before hurrying off to find her best friend in the world. ( wherever you want Littlepaw to be. ^^ And for anyone who might want to interact with Wildpaw. Perhaps Sparkpaw? )
((That’s alright . It’s already been changed to Stonestar. ^^ Also, you need to move your templates to the characters board. No templates are to be on this forum. And if you could find your earliest post on the character board and post your cats there that’d be great. ^^))
[[ SparrowClan ]]
---{{** Morninglotus: Warrior **}}---
“I don’t think they’ve not noticed. I think they simply don’t care.” Morninglotus mewed, lashing her tail. “I can’t imagine any self-respecting she-cat ever being willing to stay in that place. Unless they have kits, maybe.” She flinched at the thought. If she’d had kits in a clan like that… she didn’t know what she’d do. She let the thought fade as she looked at her brother. “Everything looks good here. Let’s head back.” She mewed, running her tail briefly along his flank before turning back in the direction of camp. “I want to introduce our newest member then get back to business.” ()
---{{** Plumpetal: Former HawkClan **}}---
Plumpetal nearly leaped out of her fur as the sound of yowling reached her ears. Her violet eyes stretched wide as she pressed herself to the back of the den. Images swirled through her mind, images of Ivoryscar and his terrible son, Bloodpaw. Of Boneface and Adderpaw and all the others… she shuddered violently and squeezed her eyes shut, her breathing rapid and ragged for a moment as she willed the images to go away. As they finally began to fade she felt her eyes opening slowly. She gulped down her nerves and opened her eyes fully, staring around nervously.
The first thing she was a unfamiliar black cat with bright green eyes and a orange streak on his face. She shivered as she gazed at him, her eyes wide with terror, though she tried to force it away. ‘This isn’t HawkClan. This is SparrowClan. I don’t have to fear them… I don’t have to be afraid…’ And yet, she was. She couldn’t help it. She stared at the unfamiliar male with nothing but terror in her soft purple eyes. Her small form was pressed into the wall of the den, her claws digging into the dirt as she attempted to press herself even further in, to disappear completely. ( I’m assuming he’s blocking her view of the rest of the clan, being fully in the entrance tunnel to Stonestar’s den?)
---{{** Sabrepaw: Apprentice and Springpaw: Medicine Cat Apprentice**}}---
Sabrepaw awoke to the sound cat’s yowling at each other. ‘Adderpaw.’ The name came into his mind like a snarl and he found it suited the idiot tom well. He felt rather then saw Sandpaw get up and follow his moronic brother from the den. Then he heard another voice, this one an ounce calmer. ‘Crowpaw.’ The name came as less of a snarl but still held it’s own trace of disdain. He liked none of the family of Boneface and didn’t care to be around them. He slid silently to his paws and slipped out of the den, blinking in the sunlight of the clearing. ‘Springpaw.’ This name held nothing but affection for him and he blinked warmly at the idea of seeing his brother. Glancing around to make sure he wasn’t watched he made his way quietly to the medicine cat den. Springpaw was just padding out and the two bumped noses by accident.
Springpaw’s crystal blue eyes widened in surprise but that didn’t stop the purr of joy from escaping him. Sabrepaw found it impossible not to purr in return and twined himself around his brother, settling against his side as Springpaw started to lick his cheek. “Good morning.” He mewed between licks. (Anyone who wants to bother them. :3)
(And that's all for now. Will work on more later. Have to catch up on everything.)
((I was wondering if Wildpaw was going to try to follow the females to their training session. I had something fun in mind if he did :p))
((I was wondering if you wanted to join our little party here?))
((I'll post in the morning/evening everyone))
(( Sounds great. ^^ In his next post I'll have him follow.))
SparrowClan - Silverpool:
She woke up with a yawn, stretching out her legs until they felt nice and limber. Getting up and arching her spine until she heard and felt a satisfying pop, she walked outside, and quickly spotted her apprentice and two others talking.
"Good morning, Tawnypaw, Pinepaw, Ebony," she greeted them. "Anything interesting going on at the break of dawn?" she quipped, knowing most cats were still fast asleep.
(( ))
(( Hey hey you. Did you want me to find a new pic for Silverpool?))
(( I really do like the current one, but if you really want to, I won't stop you.))
(( I think that’s true. I’ve never actually experienced a lot of kittens but I think that proves true. And I know, Gladepaw is so adorable and cute and yay! =D Yeah, he’d think of her as his mother though, considering how young of an age he came to her unless she decides to tell him the truth of how he came to be with her. Haha, that’d be awesome! =D Foxpaw does seem like the type for overeating and, while I never knew that about Ebony, it’d be entertaining for the two to fuel each other in their overeating endeavors. XD Anyway, Whitefire has always been odd, what with his experience with being possessed as a kit. So Whitefire believing in the Dark Forest after hearing about it from the HawkClan medicine cat is plausible since he’d be able to will himself to visit it while he slept just so he could figure out what was so great about it until he became obsessed with it. I’d like it if they did meet in the Dark Forest though, as it would further develop their relationship aside from meeting every half moon. They could still “go home together” after each meeting though too. ^^ I don’t know if I really understood the last bit of your paragraph though. Do you mean that he’d have a lot of power in HawkClan among the “gods” (males) and it would make it easier for him to visit the Dark Forest as a result since he’s supposed to worship the Dominant in FalconClan? And yeah, I think it’d be a good idea to intro the two together. Any idea where you want Ivyhawk to be? I’m game with Savagestorm being anywhere. ^^ And yeah, sure! Do you want to roll it or should I? And okays, I’ll wait with you for . ^^
That’s actually not in the rules on the first page at all, so maybe we should post it up there? ‘Cause, honestly, unless I don’t remember, no one ever told me that. And other people are going to do it too if they weren’t with us wherever it was mentioned, if at all.))
-SparrowClan-
-Foxpaw-
Foxpaw giggled maniacally when Slatestorm yowled, assuming she had scared the heck out of him and loving every second of it. She gazed up at him innocently, her yellow eyes shining in joy. “Oh, thank you, Slatestorm! I’d love to join you on a patrol! Though it won’t be as much fun without Cobrafang,” she said with a glance at her mentor, going as far as to blink at him with the likeness of a human batting their eyelashes at someone. “Hm…hum…let’s see…quickly, huh? Okay, who are all the warriors in SparrowClan? Oh, there’s so many! I can’t possibly remember all their names! Oh, I know! Greytiger! Wait…he’s an elder. Um…okay, how about Goldenflower? Oh darn, she’s about to explode with kits! Okay, okay, how about Iceshard or Alderfang? Whoever shows up first gets to come on a patrol with the most awesome apprentice in SparrowClan!” She yowled out loud, expecting the two cats to come running. After all, who could resist her awesomeness? She then glanced back at Slatestorm, her lips curling up in a feline smile. “I think she was still being lazy in the apprentice’s den when I woke up. Do you want me to wake her up?” she asked with a malicious twinkle in her eyes.
-Cougarpaw-
Unfortunately for the obnoxious apprentice, the she-cat was just rousing herself from sleep, her mind and body ready for the day ahead. She stood up slowly, shaking out her pelt and rasping her tongue over it quickly before bounding out of the den, her red-golden fur rippling in the wind, giving it the appearance of molten lava. She soon spotted her mentor and darted over to him eagerly, gazing up at him. “I’m here, Slatestorm!” she blurted out, dropping down into a hunter’s crouch right away, looking excited.
-Lilacpaw-
The Siamese she-cat glanced up at Skylark, listening to his rumbling purrs, pressing her ear close to his chest for a while solely to listen to them. She finally stopped after a while though she did purr at him in return. “I just wanted to see you, papa, and you were taking too long to get up,” she mewed lightly, flicking him with her tail before grinning. “Lazy tail!” she blurted out, pouncing for the previously named body part, finding it looked like an enticing toy. Her ears perked up and she was momentarily distracted from her attempted assault on Skylark’s tail. She whipped around to face Nightwing and started purring louder. “Hi mama!” she blurted out, flopping back down so the she-cat would have an easier time of grooming her. She snuggled up between the two, enjoying being between her parents. She was so relaxed that when her mother told her to groom herself it didn’t even bother her. “I will, mama, but I like it when you do it better. It feels soothing when you do it,” she mewed softly, snuggling up against Nightwing’s side, enjoying the silky soft feeling of her black fur.
-HawkClan-
-Sandpaw-
The light brown tom narrowed his eyes at Adderpaw and hissed in annoyance, struggling to resist the urge to slash him across the face. “Get it yourself, Adderpaw. And don’t you dare ask a she-cat to get it for you either or I’ll shred you,” he hissed lowly so their father wouldn’t hear him. He didn’t want to start trouble despite how much he disagreed with his father and his whole Clan’s ideals about the treatment of females. He nipped at his tail, purposely snapping down on thin air though he did come close to it. He then turned back to the fresh-kill pile and picked something out of it, glancing around, wondering if he’d be able to show some mercy on a she-cat. Though, of course, that would be impossible if Adderpaw wouldn’t leave him alone. Once he heard his father’s voice and his words he snarled deep in his throat but did nothing more, solely for the sake of self preservation.
-WrenClan-
-Oceankit-
Oceankit glanced up at Strawpatch the instant he addressed her, her eyes flickering with a mixture of excitement and joy. “Uncle Strawpatch!” she mewed, leaping out of the den regardless of whether she was supposed to or not. She struggled to hook her claws into his fur and clamber up onto his back, finding they kept slipping through his fur for some reason. “Help me?” she mewed pleadingly, continuing to gaze at him like that. Her tail was quivering in joy, showing she really wanted to go to the fresh-kill pile to be with her mother. She could hear her mother calling for her, asking her if she wanted to help, but if she could get a free ride over to her, she wouldn’t pass it up. “I’ll be there in a little bit, mom!” she called, fidgeting in excitement.
-Snowykit-
The Siamese tom’s tail drooped slightly and he slipped out of the crouch when Amberkit lightly chastised him. “But…Bearkit hasn’t really tried to play in a while, has he? What harm is there in giving it a try? Maybe he’s better by now! Come on, please Bearkit, give it a try?” he pleaded, gazing at him with shining eyes. He batted at him gently, hoping that would entice him to play. He glanced back at Coralshine curiously, padding over to pick up a piece of prey that was much bigger than himself before turning to Bearkit expectantly, gazing at him as he struggled to drag the prey along.
-Sparkpaw-
A yellow tom slipped out of the apprentice den, bounding out, limbs filled with energy as he prepared to attack the day. In his excited bound he didn’t pay attention to where he was going and smashed into a ball of fur that happened to be Wildpaw. He stared at him, wide eyed, before he hastily apologized. “Sorry, I was just so excited to go hunting! I’ve got to get my father to pay attention to me and I was really looking forward to going to hunt,” he explained quickly, fidgeting anxiously as he glanced around for his mentor.
-Shardtalon-
Shardtalon rushed into camp, her paws thundering against the ground as she chased a harassed looking Darksquall, snarling at him angrily. “Just what do you think you’re doing?!” she screeched at him as he retreated into the warrior’s den as if she wouldn’t follow him in there. She thrust her face into the den, baring her sharpened fangs at him and spat at him, “I already can’t stand you for hurting your son by purposely ignoring him despite his efforts to get you to recognize him and then you try to run away from him as well?! You make me sick!” She then approached Wildpaw, shaking her head. “Sorry about that, I had to take care of a little nuisance. Are you ready to go train?” she asked, noting Sparkpaw’s presence near her apprentice and approaching him, rasping her tongue over his head and draping her tail about his shoulder, trying to calm him down.
-Darksquall-
The calico tom grumbled in annoyance, shrinking back into the den to avoid Shardtalon’s wrath. All he had been going to do was visit his sister in SparrowClan, honestly, but no one here believed him, he swore, presumably because he was a tom. For StarClan’s sake, he wanted to get out of here already! Someone had to show him some mercy some time and grant him a break. However, he’d be waiting a while for such an opportunity, he feared. (Anyone who wants to bug him)
((Cats and dogs who still need to be introed: Spiritshine, Jaguarkit, Ruinedscale, Jake?, Orangey, Smokepelt, Goldensoul, Lucky, Gracie, Burnedleaf, Gladepaw, Otterpearl, Moonblossom, Mistkit, Hawk, Arctichail, Dreampaw, Oakenpaw, Savagestorm, Emberwing, Spottedjay, Waterdrop, Shroudedstream, Cascade and Fadingmoon.))
SparrowClan {Ebony} Ebony grinned at Pinepaw as he sat down. He had been a close friend since she'd joined, just liked Tawnypaw, and hadn't rejected her despite not having been born in SparrowClan. She had been very happy to have found friends so quickly. Soon after he said down, Tawnypaw's mentor, Silverpool, also joined them. "Good morning, Pinepaw, Silverpool!" Ebony said happily. "We were talking about Goldenflower, she must be almost ready to burst." Her voice lowered a little when she mentioned the queen, but her face still spoke of happiness and excitement.
{Skylark} With another purr, Skylark flicked his tail around behind him. Lilacpaw chased it like a kit, rather adorably, while he spoke to his mate. He loved the way Lilacpaw saw them as her parents, even though they'd only taken her as their own a couple of months ago; she was young enough to have accepted it easily, however, and had clearly desperately wanted to be theirs.
"Of course you are not normal, my darling," he said to Nightwing, ducking her swiping paw, "You are extraordinary." He licked their daughter's ear. "You both are." They had begun several mornings this way once they'd begun to truly feel like a family, and he enjoyed it very much. "Lazy tail? Who are you calling lazy?" Skylark pretended to be outraged and batted her lightly on the flank with a paw, claws sheathed. "If you're that impatient, shall we go on a border patrol? Nightwing, would you like us to leave you to sleep?"
{Slatestorm} Slatestorm laughed, amused, at Foxpaw's excitement. He enjoyed teaching apprentices like Foxpaw because they always had things that they wanted to do, filled their time with as much as they could. much like himself, and were always ready to do anything, especially new things. He grinned at her.
"It seems like there's no need to find Cougarpaw," he said. His apprentice wasn't like Foxpaw; she wasn't always raring to go. However, he liked her ambition, and could use that to his advantage in her training. He turned to the auburn apprentice, "Good morning, are you ready for some training?"
The tom gazed over their shoulders and into Stonestar's den. He could only just see into the den, but there he could see his brother's refugee back rapidly away from Cobrafang. He had been lucky to distract Foxpaw from the den, but he didn't think he could also draw Cobrafang away, not easily at least. "If you want Cobrafang to come along," he said carefully, vaguely forming an idea, "I could go and ask him. You have to stay here though. You could make sure Cougarpaw is ready to go, while I go and speak to him?" The grey tom didn't go anywhere yet, waiting to make sure she didn't move. He couldn't risk her seeing Plumpetal yet.
HawkClan {Badgerclaw and Adderpaw} The large white tom smiled at his brother. "Yes, let's get something to eat while we wait. No use in wasting time," he said. His eyes turned to the two young cats. "Let's join your sons by the fresh kill pile." Something appeared to be going on between Adderpaw and Sandpaw, something hushed, but something he didn't like.
As Badgerclaw arrived at the fresh kill pile, he realised he was just in time to find out. Adderpaw's paw snaked into the pile and pulled out a lovely-looking piece. Upon noticing his uncle, the young tom pushed it towards Badgerclaw. Sometimes, the black-striped warrior thought that Adderpaw valued him over his own father; afterall, Badgerclaw belonged to the elite Clan, the Clan Adderpaw wanted part of. He grinned a toothy grin at Adderpaw.
The mottled tom pulled another, equally delicious piece from the pile and pushed towards Boneface, then finally chose one for himself. Adderpaw's dark jaw found the air close to Sandpaw's ear even as his tail slowed, having darted away from his brother's mouth. "You couldn't hurt me if you tried, Petalpaw," he hissed. Badgerclaw was close enough to hear and cast a glance at Boneface while they listened. "So don't threaten me."
WrenClan {Strawpatch} The tom struggled to keep the disdainful expression that threatened to emerge off of his face. He knew his siblings would only tell him off for showing the kits how little he liked them. He could admit, reluctantly, in his own mind, that they could be cute at times. Like when they called him uncle and begged for his attention. But when they dug their pitiful but still-sharp claws into his flank they were decidedly less cute. "Help me!" the kit squealed desperately. So Strawpatch lay down as flat as he could so that she would hurt him the least when she climbed on his way. This was obviously her main intention, after all.
{Bearkit and Amberkit} Bearkit took a while to think about his reply. Amberkit seemed intent on including him where she could, but was also worried he might hurt himself or get ill. He knew that the bigger cats were mostly worried about him making the other kits ill, but seeing as he was okay to spend time with them at the moment it seemed as though perhaps he could try a little bit of playing. Slowly, Bearkit nodded at his brother . "I'll try a little," he whispered. Amberkit licked his ear excitedly, then shrank back, remembering that only the medicine cat was supposed to groom him. Too late now, he thought, smiling at her.
((Yay! I love the idea that they would think of each other as adoptive family! I'll intro Echofeather soon, if you'd like, then you can intro Mistkit and Gladwpaw? I was also thinking that perhaps she would tell him that he's adoptive soon, maybe, 'cause she'd consider him old enough to understand? I already wrote about Ebony having been up late eating too much the previous night, so when you mentioned something similar with Foxpaw I thought it convenient. Also, are we still doing the thing where she was the first cat Ebony met, like in frostblaze when I first intro'd her? I meant that Whitefire would have 'claws in HawkClan' if he'd come from there, but he doesn't have to, it's up to you :) I'm content for Ivyhawk to be anywhere, but I don't think it's likely for them to sleep in, you know? Perhaps they should be rounding up their kits to take them for training? Up to you, I'm happy to, or you can roll the die. Let's alternate rolling (if they don't get pregnant straight away)))
occ// Looks around to whom to ping... .=. btw where is the list of Mentors and apprentices?
Sparrowclan//Morningcloud (Larka)
Morningcloud had her ears tuned to Jackalfang before she turned her head to reply a greeting. By the time she did, he was beside her talking about Starclan knows. "Good morning." She said with a pause as he scooped up some prey she stood up. "It should be an apprentice's duty but I can go and get two apprentices now to go hunting for fresh prey." She offered. She surely didn't want to eat cold prey and she couldn't imagine many cats actually enjoying it.
Wrenclan//Seabreeze ++ Maplepaw(I've lost track .=.)
Seabreeze looked to the prey pile which was already getting devoured quickly. He looked to his apprentice, Sparkpaw before continuing dragging the maggot fish out. He felt as if ever cat in camp had their eyes on him as if he was a fish stealer. Even the apprentices seemed to glare at him but he decided to ignore him taking a deep breath before leaving the camp to bury the fish. Would this have been more of a problem if a she-cat actually ate this instead?... By the looks of it we'll be doing quiet a bit of hunting.
Maplepaw watched Fox talk to possibly every cat in the clan. She was on her belly now watching Seabreeze leave with the foul prey. "Good riddens" She said under her breath as he disappeared. I hate Toms. Why do we even need them? She thought watching Bearkit.
occ// If I have more energy I'll get my other 3 cats into play later.
[SparrowClan] >> Stonestar "I feel the same way," Stonestar mewed solemnly. "And the same goes for males in WrenClan." He didn't like the politics that ruled the two clans, and was extremely grateful to StarClan for making SparrowClan his birth clan rather than any of the others. In his opinion, his clan was the best by far because of the equality offered to everyone. Life was so much more complicated in the other clans... He couldn't even go on patrols like this if he belonged to WrenClan or HawkClan! It was a strange thought for him, and he didn't like it much.
"Yeah, let's get going," the pale tabby mewed to Morninglotus. "It's time to introduce Plumpetal to the clan, and I have something else to do as well." He smiled at her, then padded off in the direction of the camp.
[SparrowClan] >> Nightwing She smiled when Lilacpaw attacked Skylark's tail. She was being adorable, and she watched the apprentice play with Skylark until she plopped down onto the ground, where she could groom her more easily. When Skylark told her that she was extroidinary, she purred. She looked at her mate, then at Lilacpaw, with shining yellow-green eyes. Having a family like this was incredible, and she was enjoying every moment of it. Being a mother wasn't even as bad as she had thought it would be, and Lilacpaw didn't seem to dislike her... Perhaps kits really would be a possibility for them someday, she mused as she grommed Lilacpaw's messy coat.
She purred when Lilacpaw said she liked it when she groomed her, and called her "mama". She rubbed her head against Lilacpaw's neck affectionately, then went back to grooming her. "I don't mind doing it," she mewed, purring faintly. "It's soothing for me as well." She continued to groom the she-cat for awhile, until her fur was as clean as it could be. She looked up when Skylark asked if she wanted to stay here and sleep while he and Lilacpaw went on a patrol. She normally would have gone with them, but she was tired after staying up all night. "I'll walk you to the camp entrance," she told him. "And then I'll visit Longfur in the nursery and try and nap a little there." It probably would be hard to get much sleep with Jaguarkit in there, but Longfur would appreciate having another set of paws to help with her rambunctious son, even if she wasn't really paying attention most of the time.
[SparrowClan] >> Tawnypaw and Pinepaw "Hi Pinepaw, Silverpool," Tawnypaw mewed when first the other apprentice, and then her mentor, approached them. "Not much is going on, we're just talking about Goldenflower's kits coming. I'm so excited!" She looked up at her mentor when she expressed her eagerness to help a queen while kitting for the first time, with a smile on her face. Pinepaw smiled when Ebony and Tawnypaw said very similar things at the same time, and Tawnypaw looked at her friend, then began to laugh. He laughed with her for a few minutes, then went back to eating his prey. "Oh yeah, she looks pretty big," he mewed. "New kits are always a good thing! An asset to the clan."
[HawkClan] >> Boneface Boneface nodded to his brother and followed him over to the fresh-kill pile. He also noticed that there was some sort of argument going on between Adderpaw and Sandpaw, but he chose to ignore it. Adderpaw didn't really get along with either of his brothers, they fought most days. He really wasn't surprised to see them fighting as soon as they woke up. He didn't mind the confrontation really, as long as no one ended up being injured because of it. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone.
He watched as his son gave the two nicest pieces of prey on the pile to Badgerclaw and himself. He nodded at his son, and smiled just a little bit. He knew that Adderpaw was trying to flatter them, and he enjoyed it. The tom knew what he was doing, that was for sure. He could only wish that his other sons had turned out to be like Adderpaw. Maybe they would learn to be like him someday.
He sat down and began to tear into his prey. When Adderpaw told Sandpaw to not threaten him he glanced at Badgerclaw, right as his brother glanced at him. He just shrugged, then continued to eat his prey. The quarrels of his sons weren't his concern; he only meant to train them, them not getting along well was their own problem.
(( It was just kind of assumed between everyone, really. It wasn't actually put up as a rule. I guess I thought it was common knowledge? I mean, what would be the point of the character board if we all just posted our characters here? I don't know if you want to add this to the rules or what... but I thought we'd wanted all the character templates in one place as an ease of access sort of thing.))
((Mentors and apprentices are on the character board))
((Like said, I created the character board so that this board wouldn't be cluttered, you know? Don't worry if you didn't know, sorry for forgetting to make it obvious))
((I'll reply later, I'm just having a vague break from revision ><))
(( i'm so sorry for not having posted my introductions yet! life just got really busy with work and friends and family stuff. so i haven't had any time to come up with responses to this roleplay. :/ i feel bad for not posting them and i feel even worse for asking for a summary of what's going on. i don't have a lot of time to scan through all the posts. i apologize for my lateness in my introductions as well, but i promise you i'll have them up by the end of the week. :] ))
[font=Cambria]
(( Heh, no worries. All of us are sort of behind on this and nowhere near every cat has been intro'd. For the most part, not a lot is going on. If you want to start with Cackleeye I'll respond accordingly with Stripedbear and Venompaw. :) Also, Vixenpaw was searching for Littlepaw in the apprentices den I think. You could also intro Ashfall, maybe having him say something or be out somewhere with Onyxflame. Also feel free to have Sharppaw go tell of Frostbite if you wish. :P All of those cats are currently unoccupied. ^^ Hope this helps!))
-SparrowClan-
-Lilacpaw-
The apprentice's eyes lit up when she heard her father's suggestion and she started letting out deep roiling purrs. She gently licked Nightwing when she rubbed against her, looking very happy. "Extraordinary...thanks, papa!" she mewed happily, licking his ear before crouching down, wiggling her haunches. "You, of course! But I'd love to go on a patrol with you! Ohhh, let's go papa, hurry!" she mewed excitedly, spinning in circles as she waited. She was surprised when her mother decided to stay in camp and sleep but she supposed she was tired after all her night hunting. "We'll see you when we get back, mama!" she mewled, nuzzling the fluffy black she-cat before padding out of the den, her muscles rippling with excitement beneath her pelt.
-Foxpaw-
Foxpaw's lips curled up into a fiendish smile and she nodded. "Yes, she came to us. But I can stir her up and get her ready to go!" she blurted out excitedly, already dropping down into a crouch and launching herself at the auburn she-cat. Luckily for Slatestorm, Foxpaw was an easily distractible cat though if she got an inkling that they were hiding something in Stonestar's den, she'd be the first one to investigate without a doubt. She battered the she-cat vigorously though she kept her claws sheathed, yowling playfully as she tried getting the best of her.
-Cougarpaw-
"I am ready, Slatest-ack! Get off me, you furball!" she yowled, having been about to dip her head to Slatestorm as a sign of respect until Foxpaw ambushed her. She responded vigorously in turn, batting at the she-cat, trying to shove her off with her paws. But she had to give Foxpaw credit, for she was tenacious as ever and was beating the crap out of her. "Help!" she yelped, for once looking undignified, her blazing fur ruffled and becoming dirty quickly as the two scuffled.
-Jackalfang-
Jackalfang glanced down at the prey he had hooked and lifted it up so he could inspect it. Soon he nodded and mewed, "For a picky cat, perhaps we need new prey, but I'm the least picky as they come. Food is food, after all." He let the prey drop to the ground and started to eat, purring, while hooking another piece of prey out of the pile and offering it out to Morningcloud. "A meal for two non-picky cats, perhaps?" he asked, not knowing the qualms she had about the prey.
-HawkClan-
-Sandpaw-
The young tom snarled at Adderpaw in reply to his words regardless of the fact that his father was right there. Even though he refused to be like them, one thing he wouldn't tolerate was one of those chauvinistic pigs insulting him for being kind to she-cats, like all normal cats should be. However, he wouldn't stand up to his father, and he was certain the intimidating tom knew that. But nothing stopped him from mouthing off to his siblings and he turned away from Adderpaw, shaking his head. "You disgust me," he muttered, picking up two pieces of fresh-kill and padding off, keeping his tail and body low to try and keep a low profile. He couldn't let any of them see what he was doing and prayed they wouldn't follow.
-WrenClan-
-Oceankit-
Oceankit purred in delight, her whole body vibrating with the noise. She looked one hundred percent pleased when she managed to scramble onto his back and she rested down on it, burying her nose in his fur as she continued to purr. "Thank you, Uncle Strawpatch!" she mewled before gazing at her mother excitedly while secretly being grateful for the free ride. It wasn't often you got one of those, even as a kit!
-Snowykit-
The young Siamese purred in delight when he heard his brother's reply, glad he'd try to do something. He didn't like seeing him so ill and fragile and wanted to do what he could to make his brother feel included and perhaps even get better. After all, being active to a certain extent had to have some kind of benefits, didn't it? He then gazed up at Coralshine, tilting his head to the side curiously, wondering if they were ready to go yet.
(( It's gonna be so cute! =D Adoptive families seem to be among the cutest to me, for some reason. ^^ Okay, that's cool with me! ^^ Then we can both get some cats off our 'to intro' lists. XD Lord knows we probably have enough of 'em. XD And yeah, I'm cool with that, if that's what you want her to do. I think I have an idea of how he'll respond, which will be full of cuteness if I remember to do it. XD I'd like that, yes, if Foxpaw was the first one she met. She needs a buddy and it seems like it'll be fun for her and Ebony to be friends. =D And yeah, it was convenient. ^^ Okay, I get it now! XD I had to think about it 'cause my brain has been uber slow lately. Yeah, I could see him coming from HawkClan originally. What with his creepy past, it is set up for him to leave HawkClan and join FalconClan to become their Elite healer, so it could work really well, let him still believe in the Dark Forest and still be connected to Nettlesmoke. Perhaps they could've been friends as kits/apprentices or something? Yeah, definitely! I doubt they, being elites, would sleep in either. Yep yep, I'm game with them to be getting ready to train their kits. =) Um...let's see. Gonna flip a coin here to see who rolls first. You heads, me tails. And it came up tails, so I'll roll. What did we decide for it? Odd numbers yes, even numbers no, or was it the other way around?))
((Cats and dogs who still need to be introed: Spiritshine, Jaguarkit, Ruinedscale, Jake?, Orangey, Smokepelt, Goldensoul, Lucky, Gracie, Burnedleaf, Gladepaw, Otterpearl, Moonblossom, Mistkit, Hawk, Arctichail, Dreampaw, Oakenpaw, Savagestorm, Emberwing, Spottedjay, Waterdrop, Shroudedstream, Cascade and Fadingmoon.))
((Oops! I already flipped a coin, it said she would have kits. Haha! I thought if we rolled a die to see how many pages before they find out and how many before she has them, that would be cool. And to see how many kits, too. They're gonna make a whole army! Haha!))
((I wrote out some lovely replies, then forgot to send them, and lost motivation because I don't remember what I wrote. I'll get on it soon, I promise ><))
