One of my favorite memories has to be following along/participating in the Jaxon/Ian plot! I have a very vivid memory of checking often everyday to see if an update occurred, and getting my partner (who doesn't even play Subeta) hooked on the plot!

We were both sitting in a McDonald's when one of the big plot updates happened, and we both couldn't hold our reactions in! We probably looked odd to a bunch of people, but we didn't care! That plot was amazing, and we both still talk about it to this day! I had so much fun in that plot than with any other, the theories from back then were abundant, and it was so well-written! Funny, too! I still tend to quote some of it today. <3

Something I'd Love to See

Others have already mentioned, but more pet colors would be nice (Sweety Dead, Experiment Colors). I don't know if it is already a thing, or something already in the works, but I'd like Gardening to be revamped up! I think it could use a nice refresh, have some love poured into it. It'd be nice to have something like that to do.

Coming back to Subeta last year was so incredible. The coolest thing about this site is being able to pick right back up after an extended hiatus and see all the cool new things going on. The COOLEST thing however is the community. Finding my community is the gift that keeps on giving. I'll never forget meeting each person in my lil group, and I couldn't be more thankful.

I'm a sucker for the wardrobe - anything to inprove and advance the wardrobe, I'm game! Tbh though, I'd really love improvements to Subq because the collections are beautiful. Would be really cool to see this rotated out more, maybe bring back some oldies, but especially include new designs/designers? c:

My absolute favorite thing (and I LOVE so many aspects of Subeta) was the Morostide plot when Ian and Jaxon found each other (through the ethers of time). And I think that was in 2014, not the 2018 one, because I wasn't here for a few months in 2018 and I missed that one.

More plots, and I imagine those take a LOT of staff and resources overall, so I think I understand why plots aren't happening frequently.

I've been kicking it around here for almost 17 years now, but I have to say that some of my favorite memories about subeta happen during Luminaire. I love hosting events on the forums and giving gifts to the friends I've made along the way. Plus, who can forget the joy you feel as you take that first peak under your tree!

First time taking part in Luminaire. I loved looking at how differently each of the players styled their trees & how everyone came together through the forums to gift under the trees, it was especially wonderful to see threads dedicated to placing gifts under empty trees. ♥️

My favorite memory of Subeta is all the fun I had playing with my mom (user DracosHuman). My mom passed away in 2014. I remember talking to her about checking out Subeta, and opening a ticket to ensure that my mom could make an account while I lived with her as a teen, so we didn't get auto-frozen due to IP. It was one of the things we loved to do together. I would help her collect her dragon and bird themed items, and she would help me with my plushies and beanbags. <3

I'd love to see maybe a vending machine or a special store specifically for retired collection items from the past (plushies, beanbags, trading cards). There's things I wish I could have gotten but can't now unless you find it in a trade. :3

Whan Covid started and everything becoma really weird and really scary pretty fast, this community and the games on here really helped me as a medical professional. I really looked forward to the events and was kind of okay for a while. So thank you.

I wish we'd have a way to earn rewards for long gone events. Some of those were years ago, and I find it kind of sad that those items might not be attainable to new players for example.

I remember sitting on my laptop in my apartment on Halloween night, refreshing and going to the patch constantly to try and get those last minute items while trick or treaters would wander around outside... Morostide is always my favorite holiday on here because of that!

I would love more site-wide plots again... I miss them so much! I had so much fun with the last one years ago, and I love how it added so much lore to different characters.

When I first started down the rp trail here on Subeta, there was a forumn at the time that allowed others to post their stories and direct people to where they had posted full on novels. One of those people was one of my absolute favorite who inspired a lot of my own writing and stylization. She also introduced me to DA where I have been a member for many years. But I will never forget that Subeta was truly where I started my writing journey and my facisnation with the rp world! <3

I would love to see interactions brought back with our pets. This place was originally focused on our pets. And most of the time, those stories and even rp communities developed around side them. I just feel like they are a bit forgotten now, with all the users and focuses on the aspects rather than interactions. So like events where we have to either trust our pets to go do something or kind of a back and forth with our friends would be awesome!

I cannot believe it has been 21 years. It feels only yesterday I was in high school joining this place with my friend! Time has flown by.

I have been playing Subeta since just after launch. I have so many memories over the years but I still distinctly remember being so much happier on this site after moving over from Neopets. I love this weird little site and keep coming back to it over the years. I did love the plots, I think my favorite was the original Atebus Masquerade Murder.

I'd love to see some of the older items get a revamp because while their look is nostalgic, they don't really match the standard of the rest of the items on the site now.

My favorite subeta memory is growing along side this site honestly. This site feels like a piece of home that I can still come back to even if I don't have a lot of free time for it anymore. I miss when the fourms were more active, and the community was much more lively. I love the plots, and the care that was put into them. The first epicon event was one of my favorites.

ALSO I know it was kind of a bad time but I remember the long cat contriversy. I loved the long cat item but I understand why it's not here anymore lmfao.

I'd love to see the little fourm avatars come back. It was a fun goal to work toward and I appreciate the fourm titles but I feel like a hidden avatar is a lot more rewarding to look at. I would love to see the fourms become more active and see this site get more traction. I'd love to see more events and maybe even some new games! I've always hoped for a home feature, but I think there was an explination as to why that we weren't getting one but I can't remember. At the very least I would love to be able to decorate a room for each of my pets.

my favorite moments where to moments I met some friends on here and the pet name clearings. It was always a suprise if you would get one! 7 out of the 10 I got the names I wanted! And if not I could always laugh about it!

Plots!!! I really liked the ones that like, furthered already existing characters stories, and also I remember we had a plot that was like..."Toys vs Candy"?? I don't remember all the details but I do remember it being fun, even if those sorts of plots can cause some......friction among players. But still!! I enjoyed talking to everyone on the forums and I love a lil competition.

Mmmm y'know I'm not sure, maybe a way to get old prize items from past events? I know we have that somewhat already, but like, old site-wide challenger events or something like that, for people who hadn't joined yet or couldn't join in at the time for whatever reason.

One of my favorite memories... That has to be when I met . She found me just a few days after I joined when I bought something from her shop. She bombarded me with gifts and my newbie heart couldn't take it. She's the main reason why I love Subeta so much and always want to give back to the community however I can. Once we started talking, we discovered that we are extremely similar in personalities, likes/dislikes, health, and even apperance!! She's an absolute light in my life and even though she doesn't venture onto Subeta often anymore, we still talk in Discord like no time has passed since our last conversation. I adore her tremendously.

Something I'd Love to See

As far as something I'd love to see - I'm not sure. I would love if the holidays got more of their own individual personalities. Other than Lumi and Survival, the majority of holidays lack identity imo. Find X floating around the site, spend X at the shop, rinse, and repeat. Don't get me wrong - I love the shops and collecting items, but Lumi and Survival really stand out to me since they also promote community. I suppose Masquerade is similar with dancing, but I can't think of any of the other holidays that do.

Thank you, Keith!!! I know you're working hard and want to build something you're proud of. Just remember to take time for yourself and don't get too lost in the weeds. I think it's important to remember what has made this beautiful site so successful for 21 years - and I think that you are doing great in implementing pieces that honor the place we all love so much.

My favorite memory here on Subeta has to be finally being able to have my pets have their own overlays. It really was just that exta bit of personalization that really did it for me. Now I can have a memorial for my soul-dog on here.

Although I am happy with subeta in general, some more plots would be fun.

Subeta still continues to be my respite from the woes of life and the cruelty of social media. Thank you so much to Keith and the wonderful mods that still put all the time and effort to keep Subeta going. It really is appreciated, even if it is only for a handful of us across the world.
