I started doing squares a long time ago..i should try and finish the blanket off. LOL
I have gone down the rabbit hole, there are so many different types of granny squares online. So I find free patterns that have printable PDFs. I also found a granny square cardigan/sweater, that I want to try to do in the future.

When i was 10 yrs old i had a older lady babysitter that taught me how to crochet.I never forgot. So i'm just doing a blanket for my bed. It's grey and green. :)
You know I have seen so many beautiful crochet projects guys are doing, and some are military vets. It helps them, with their PTSD issues.
Keeps the hands/mind moving and active too.
Oh most definitely. We drove to Dallas twice last month, going and coming each trip 20 hours. I crocheted the whole time, and was in charge of navigating too. sure helped pass the time. Plus crocheting will help my hand recover once the cast is off. Poor Cody his convinced, he can get my cast off by bathing it.
Is it fibreglass? The old ones were plaster and they will break up in water :)
its fiberglass, which makes it so much lighter.
They sure do, this one is my third fiberglass cast. when I had surgery on both hands, I had casts then.
Broke my thumb on the ballistic cover on a tank while i was teaching students to drive.I made a splint for it.Broke a few ribs but nothing else luckily.
I replaced the splint with an aluminum one from the MIR next day..i broke the thumb in 2 places too ...it was an 85 LB engine cover that slammed down on it.
Oh I know that was super painful. I heard the bone snap in my hand.
I have been on calcium supplements for years. Ten days between two x-rays and they said, they can tell its healing.
