I'm just here to represent the number one dino, Parasaurolophus! π Also I've been meaning to get Paleo Pines but I haven't yet, is it worth it??
oooo carnotaurus! i love their little ball in socket arm joints- its so silly!!!! T rexes are rlly interesting to me- just from bones, paleontologists have been able to tell that just like us, t rexes went through puberty much like how we humans do- acne included!
Velociraptors will always be classic to me. I do love dilophosaurus too, though!
I'm boring and just have to go with brachiosaurus :') The Land Before Time definitely influenced my favorites.
duuuuuude i LOVED a land before time when i was a kid- i used to try and eat leaves around my childhood house calling them 'tree stars'- to this DAY 'friends for dinner' is perpetually in my mind!! tbh sauropods arent that boring- its interesting to see how a herbivore managed to outgrow a T rex; i like to think of them as like,,, the giraffe elephants of the dinosaur world lol
Archaeopteryx and stegosaurus are peak imo.
Is Archaeopteryx technically a bird? Maybe? Are birds kinda sorta technically dinosaurs though? I say yes.

OMG I love this thread so much <3 My all-time fave is Deinocheirus - they're just so big and goofy looking I love them lol. Carnotaurus is also awesome. I think it's incredible that everything we know about Carnotaurus is from 1 single specimen, the only one ever found but it was so well preserved it was like half mummified. How cool is that??
yoooo! all of those are PEAK faves!!!!
whenever i think of carnos i think of that one documentary where the carno tried to flirt with lil brightly colored arms lol- he tried!
Deinocheirus kinda looks like a more aquatic form of therozinosaurus- at a lil glance, anyways. i keep lookin at them and thinking ill see those giant claws typical of therozinos lol
DUDDDEEEE Archaeopteryx!?!? i love those lil guys!!!! i might be a bit biased cuz one of my fave dinos are microraptors who are kinda built the same but STILL!!!! gimme lil flying critters and i go crazy lol
as for stegos, theyre a classic! my fave fact about them is that their spiked tail is called a 'thagomizer' and scientists named it that in honor of a comic artist who passed who made a comic calling it that! pretty cool!!!
also i made this thread so people could have a place to talk dinos! i have a hint of the tism and love to yap about dinos so,,, why not on subeta? lol
I'm another Spino enjoyer lol Tons of people say its overrated now. Like the first idea of what S. aegyptiacus looked like is very cool as a concept. But the fact that it seems like where/how it lived and how its body was built changes every few months makes it really mysterious and alluring to me.
Similarly I was fascinated by Deinocheirus because all that was known about it for so long was its giant pair of disembodied arms...
And ngl this super wild interpretation of it from the early 2000s has been stuck in my head since forever
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I've got a natural history themed pet that I haven't done much with because I'm like a passive paleo enjoyer and don't know enough about anything to have something to infodump about Longevity
PARASAURUS!!! for the very simple reason that i really liked dinosaur king as a tween and there's one in that anime that looks like this and

this is what peak character design looks like don't even try to argue with me we both know i'm right
im back!!! Deinocheirus is a cool choice, i do like the part about the disembodied arms lol, so much mistique yet so silly lol
parasaurus!!! i LOVE dinosaur king as a kid-almost-tween!!!! parasaurus was my fave, and athat IS peak character design!!!

man lately i've been thinking about rewatching dinosaur king!! the nostalgia is real SDFGHJKL i remember i kinda dropped off around season 2 because i just could never catch it on tv and my interests changed lol, i barely remember it but i do remember really enjoying it!
my family didnt have many tv channels, just the basic ones, but dinosaur king was on the cw4kids every saturday around the time i woke up. ive always loved dinos so its no suprise i LOVED the show lol- i rewatched bits of it in 2016 when i found out it had gotten added to netflix- i ended up rlly liking the villians lol, theyre so silly! i never finished it or even rlly got a coherent plot line but i think thats cuz i was either a kid or i was working on other things at the same time as a teen rip- ill have to drag some frens into watching it with me tho lol
technically not a dino but a marine reptile but plesiosaurs are my fave dinos!!
[tot=Marleigh]
QUETZALCOATLUS!! not technically a dinosaur but still my fave!
OMG!!! plesiosaur and quetlecoatlus!!!! ill say it counts as 'dinos' if it lived in the times of the dinos lol, both are rlly good picks!!!!
Please save me, dino lovers!
What are the dinos in this game (Dirty Dinos) called?
I know it's just a game with cutesy dinos but I would like to use the right names, and all I've got for sure right now are triceratops and t-rex.
My faves are the triceratops and stegosaurus. :)
uhhh looks like youve got 2 plesiosaurs-esque creatures, a parasalopholus, a rubber ducky pterodactyl, 2 sarupods resembling bontesaurus'/bracheasarus, and the pre mentioned t rex and triceratops
(pprobs spelt some of those wrong but still)
triceratops and stegos are solid picks!
