Hey everyone! It's been awhile. Bad things keep happening.

Yesterday, I was involved in a collision. A rig hit the side of my bus and pushed me off the road. The kiddos were fine and so was I. No injuries. It was very scary. The rig didn't even stop. It kept going. Police, ambulance and fire showed up. My boss sped to the location. I was shaking, crying, high blood pressure, nauseous and retching and I had to give two statements. We got nothing for documentation. I didn't go speak to witnesses or anything (plus you can't leave the bus unattended with kids in it). I couldn't exit the bus, as I was in 8 inches of water because I drove the bus into the ditch. It was the safest place. Cars were dodging me as I went across the lane. I don't know how I didn't hit a car or how no one was in a collisions. Police wouldn't even speak to my boss. I was praised for great driving from everyone on scene and office when I got back. I had to do some paperwork.

I did my job and kept them safe. The union president said "We're lucky to have someone like you working here. Good job". That made me feel so good, even though I was feeling really crappy and shaking.

Today, I don't feel like myself. It's really hard to explain. I feel... different. Like, idk. It's just not me. My stomach really hurts and I'm really tired. I didn't sleep well and I woke up at 6am and was unable to go back to sleep (I slept 6 hours).

Oh my! Don't blame yourself for feeling distraught or a bit weird, that was a pretty traumatic event! Give yourself some time to process what happened.

I don't know if anything exists where you live, but in my country there's a phone line you can call if you witnessed or experienced a traumatic event like a car crash, stabbings, collapsing construction sites etc. They'll help you process what happened.

We don't have a free hotline to call. If I need therapy, I have to pay for it.

I'll be ok. It's just a huge shock. This is the first time this has happened to me, in a school bus. I've been driving a bus for 3 years
