Love the dates being clearly visible, and the participation/voting checks!
And now every completed contest you click on "view", also gives an error, so we can't see any completed contests anymore :( Oops! Something went wrong We've encountered an unexpected error while processing your request. This could be because you aren't logged in, or the server is experiencing issues. We're pushing multiple times an hour, so please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, please let us know in the forums.
this all sounds great! i especially like being able to see at a glance which contests i've participated and/or voted in. and the winning avatars being visible as images sounds perfect, except i can't actually view any completed contests to see this in action! clicking "view" on any contest on the list of completed contests just serves up an "oops! something went wrong" server error. i can view contests in the entry and voting stages just fine, so it's something about ONLY completed contests that's having problems.
[edit] just updating (5/30) to confirm that completed contests are still not viewable.
We are unable to view the winning entries after the contest is over. Plus a lot of other things going wacko as well.

@ keith Any updates on a fix for this, please?
It's been 2 weeks that we can't see the winners. I want to admire the winning outfits and see what amazing layering skills people got! =(
The events also don't link to anything.
[edit] June 9th Yay, pagination seems to be fixed, and viewing completed contests also works again! Only now sorting the columns (like on End Date, to see the when contests will end / have ended) is gone, as well as the total numbers (like so many open contests, so many in voting state, etc). Fix one thing, break another? ;)
Hey everyone! Pagination should be fixed, viewing contests should also be fixed, woo!
I've also pushed out an exciting update you can see on the kumos news page - which will be weekly (obviously they fired a couple more times this week hehe) contests automatically generated, with large sP prizes, to keep you on your toes and making new outfits.
I'm making my way through the other bugs and feedback - but I want to be clear that this is a feature I want to make sure is completely working before bouncing off!

Regarding the automatic contests: could it be considered changing the number of votes on them from 1 to multiples (like 3 or 5 not stacked)? These usually generate a lot of entries, but there's barely anyone voting. If the ones who do vote could vote for multiple entries, things might balance out more? Like the last one had 50 entries, but the entire top 5 were all winners with 2 votes each.
I was just coming to see how many times we can vote and how that works. I would also suggest not being able to vote for your own as a way to help spread them out a little more, though that one's a little debateable?

Seconding suggestion please could we not be allowed to vote for ourselves. Everyone is going to love their own HA entry otherwise they wouldn't enter it. We're just relying on others to not be selfish and I know there's definitely been people who have self voted
If the Subeta sponsored HA contests are public voting and consistently weekly, could there be a reward for voting? Maybe 100k sP since that's about the same as a single quest reward, and would be nice to take a few minutes to browse and vote for an entry after getting a weekly vote ping. It seems sad that there's not a lot of voter participation.
Another suggestion, w2hich may have already been given but just in case. I think it might be a little more fair if you can't view other entries until either you have already submitted your own entry, or the contest is closed for voting. This would help curb any accusations of copying outfits, whether it happened or not. It would also perhaps help keep entries from all leaning a certain way, giving more variety to the interpretations of each theme.

I think it would be good if the name of the submitting person was not visible to others while the contest was going on and if we weren't able to vote for our own. Also if everyone on Subeta got a ping when the voting started, whether they entered the contest or not, and if the number of votes on an entry was not visible until the voting period was over, and if the entries randomized more often.
Same Subeta contest twice in a row again :/ Would still love to vote for 5 different entries instead of just one in the Subeta contests. It's starting to take the fun out of it a bit, if there are like 10 entries with 2 votes, and it depends on luck if you end up in the top 5 or not.
[edit]Did anything change in the contest codings? It seems to give an error trying to enter a contest (at least in what people are reporting in the one I just made)? - fixed!
Hey everyone!
As you probably noticed, I've been working on the NEW NEW Wardrobe - moving the wardrobe over from new.subeta.net --> Kumos. It's really exciting and takes advantage of the item labels and more... but some of it's functionality bled over into the existing contests / saved avatars.
As a result, you might have (and might continue to get at some point) a failure to create a contest, enter in one, etc. If that happens ping me here and I'll take a look ASAP!

Yay so exciting!!!

Review Your Contest Please review your contest settings and submit when ready.
This hasn't worked in ages, so just posting here to be sure it is known: on the 4th and final step of creating a new contest, you can review your contest. Only it doesn't show anything other than the 2 lines above. No rules, no format of your description, nothing.
It's my first time interacting with contests and I thought they looked very interesting, but the fairness of it is quite questionable.
I support the suggestion of removing the option of voting in yourself. There's just not enough people voting and it tends to circle around the same group of people due to the lower quantity of players interested on it, so it's better to just remove self voting entirely. I just don't see why you shouldn't vote for yourself, consider: few people and sP reward, I can just ask friends and vote for myself. And then submit the same entry the next contest.
This could also come together with reducing the frequency of Subeta Team contests, just today during the voting phase for the Gothic-themed contest, a new Gothic-themed contest showed and some people were already submitting the same stuff. I don't think how often it happens is really working out to be fun or have any kind of thought put into it, it's a win-win situation to just submit anything and vote for yourself.
Also, I don't know if this is a bold suggestion, but maybe my vote should be obligatory if I'm participating? This way, without self voting, I can't just skip voting on other person and have my HA stay with most votes. If I don't vote I should be just declassified. This might sound super rigorous, so I'm not sure myself. lol
And to complete, I want to also support what said and we shouldn't be able to see participants before entering the contest. The only problem with that is people should be able to remove entries, for quick corrections, so maybe the only way to fix that is to only allow viewing entries during and after voting phase?
ditto what said
i keep seeing people submit the same avi multiple contests since the theme is re-used right away. :( i think re-using themes is helpful but only if it's spread out more like monthly?
i do like the suggestion of an incentive to vote, doesn't have to be big but maybe an item or currency (like wiz tokens?) for voting.
and maybe a cross-posting to the legacy site to make sure more people see it?
