also in server error land with the current link (contest 2)
but very excited to see this implemented! love the options you're giving contest owners, especially the price range one. it would be good to practice making outfits without things that cost millions of sp (i say as someone who should practice that)
I'm also getting a 500 server error >< REALLY excited about this idea though! I think it'll lead to more interractions between users c: edit: oh I forgot to mention, but I can see the /contest page and see the contest, it's just when I actually click on it to go to the contest it gives me the error. edit 2: didnt feel like making a new post, but yes it's working for me now! TY Keith c:
sorry everyone - the error should be resolved now! i was adding pagination, the page stopped loading after enough people joined

The contest is loading very very slowly. I don't understand the cost limit + CWs allowed - how are you judging the sp value of CWs?
hmm getting a Server Error and unable to enter the contest...
I dont get it. The outfit I want to enter is set to public but the system is not letting me join the contest. When I went to double check the status of my avatar it gives me a 500 server error.

Not all of my public outfits show up when I try to select one for the contest entry. I tried privating several of the older ones, but it just leads to fewer outfits displaying rather than bringing up the new ones.

Ok, that page layout is mega confusing (or maybe I just haven't had enough coffee today!!)
I expected the HAs to be in reverse date order (newest first) like in the wardrobe, so I hadn't anticipated needing to scroll all the way down to find the most recent ones.
Then the "submit" button is at the bottom of my HA list, but above the current entries - that's really hard to find! If the current entries could be minimised when we click to pick our HAs, then that would save the page loading so many images, and also make the 'submit' button much easier to find.
And maybe could we have a confirmation on the page to say the entry has been submitted? Unless I missed something lurking somewhere on the page (that's possible :P), it just seemed to reload the main entry page just without the option to enter (if that makes sense?)
Other than that, it's a great idea & hopefully it'll work well :D
please excuse any typos - it looks like Chrome's spell-checking facility does not work on Kumos forum thread replies (it does still work on the main site)

Love the idea of this! I do find it annoying all the entries get randomly mixed up constantly, it's hard to react to them. Also, it'd be nice to have somewhere to keep an eye on our own entry instead of going through all the pages?
I keep getting an error when I try to enter that my avatar must be set as public, but it already is. I've tried turning it to private and back, changed it both on the Kumos and the wardrobe outfits page, no luck. I also tried saving a new copy with a hair change to see if it was glitching because it showed the value as zero for the outfit (the hair isn't currently listed in any shops). Still no luck.
Despite showing the error, when I click on the outfit, it does let me enter, so I guess that's less an error, more an advisory note? But you might want to change the phrasing to something more like "Your public outfits are shown below. Outfits must be set to public to enter." or something less confusing.
Trying to browse the entries is a bit weird. A few notes:

I like this idea! I did struggle a lot with the layout.
HOWEVER...this will be super fun to play with in the forums/the group I run. Make it sooo much easier than manually tracking votes or trying to do this in some other way! EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!
i still cannot access the 2nd HA contest -- it gives me a 500 server error every single time. i tried persistently for around 5 hours last night. i am on MacOS Sequoia 15.2. i have tried safari, firefox, and chrome to no avail. i made sure each browser was up to date. it will not load on my phone either (iOS 18.1.1) using the mobile app versions of Safari, Firefox, and Vivaldi. just thought i would let you know as it seems others are able to access it fine
that is very annoying! a 50* error means something is happening on the server side, so it makes sense that you'd get it in all of your browsers.
are you getting this when you go to the page (e.g. you can't load anything) or when you try to submit an avatar. if you go to another page on kumos (e.g. kumos.subeta.net/news) and login, and then go to the page, do you still get a 502?

i am getting the issue specifically when i visit this page: https://kumos.subeta.net/wardrobe/outfits/contests/2 no other pages on kumos are giving me 50* errors & load fine. only the contest page will not load at all. eventually after a minute or so of trying to load, it gives me a blank screen that says 500 | SERVER ERROR i've logged in and out of kumos a few times, cleared my cache, nothing. been going back and forth between it and other kumos pages.
that's really helpful! do you get that error when you go to https://kumos.subeta.net/wardrobe/outfits/contests/3, which I just created?

A-HA! found the issue. here’s the error from our reporting:
allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes)
you’re an amazing user with a TON of outfits (thank you 🙏), but that’s actually the problem. i tweaked the system based on feedback to only show outfits that meet contest criteria, but rn it’s going through all your outfits to check if you own the right items. it’s literally running out of memory trying to do that.
i’m going to rewrite this query, add some caching, and maybe make it a button you can click to verify outfits on demand.
either way, i’ll fix it before we ship. can’t have it break for our most dedicated outfit creators! 💖
