I’ll always miss the bullet point questing, but alas. This actually is good too, though. It felt very nice on mobile. Some points:
The Kumos item previews doesn’t show the official and user shop price like the current previews do. It was tedious having to compare the official and user shop prices to figure out which item was the better value. I would prefer if the user shop page also linked to the main shop items, like current Subeta does — just to be able to eyeball the difference straight away.
I’d rather have the daily quest limit info and Start Quest button at the top of the page. The flow is somewhat interrupted by having to scroll down.
I also ran into the problem where I started Maleria’s quest, but nothing happened until I clicked on another NPC’s page.
questing went pretty good today, only issue was that sometimes some or all of the 'turn in'/'complete quest' buttons would disapear/turn grey as if i didn't have the item in my inventory even though i did. I had to click around on a few different pages but eventually each time the quest bar would eventually 'register' and i could complete the quest. there were a few 402/404 errors (no melmans) but backed out of those fairly easily.
Questing is becoming better and better with each update! 🎉
Something I noticed today - if you're buying items from NPC stores and then click "complete quest" while in the store, the web page doesn't refresh. You still get rewards, and the quest is technically "completed" but the banner is still there, the timer still ticks down, and you're not brought to your results/back to the quest area.
nothing major but a lil annoying having to click back to the quests manually On Brave browser, with subeta whitelisted if that makes a difference ;>

Started a quest with Pete, he wouldn't show me what items he wanted, just kept saying:
"Quest started! Go collect the required items and return to complete the quest." And I could keep clicking 'Start quest!' I'd go back to the main quest page, doesn't show I'm doing a quest. No timer, no items to grab, nada. Did this three times in a row, then suddenly Pete remembers he asked me for foods. And kept on asking as soon as I finished a quest, as if I'd gone back to his main page. I finally got the 'reached your limit' message, but I've... apparently done 2 quests more than I should have been able to? :x
Getting NPC shop back to shop search is in work, right?
The new top bar quest system is smoother now than it was last time, didn't run into any issues on my run just then, however I will say it feels slow, sticky and clunky. Having to slowly wait for the site to fully register that I have the items, then waiting for it to process the "turn-in" switch over thing, and then having to wait even longer for the "complete quest" button to light up drags the whole process down pacing wise.
Gonna be perfectly honest: this new system barely feels much different to the current live site one. It's a little more streamlined interface wise but overall I feel like I'm spending roughly the same amount of time and clicking the same amount of clicks as I would be on the main site.
This is, in my personal opinion, an undeniable downgrade from the originally proposed idea that let us just buy stuff on the quest page and turn it in there and then. I understand that this method had some issues involved, but I would have much rather seen an evolution on that core idea rather than going to this top-bar thing which to me feels like a step backwards.
I enjoyed the simple system, it actually made me feel good about doing the quests, it was snappy and responsive and even though it occasionally bugged out, when it worked it felt so satisfyingly clean and crisp. It was a massive upgrade from the current system that I was legitimately excited to see more of and use. This new top-bar system in contrast feels like a slog since it's so reliant on net-code and buffering. Even though it's an overall "smoother" system than the current one it still feels worse to me due to the slow clunkiness involved. I'd rather do quests on the main site since even though I'm clicking more I'm at least able to do so at my own pace rather than having to constantly wait for things to process in the background.
Just my two cents on the issue. I know a few people found the simple system "too simple" and it caused some issues with the site code, but I feel we've gone too far in the other direction and would rather see something more in the middle-ground, if possible.
EDIT: Just an idea I had while proof-reading this to make this feedback a little more constructive:
If the whole questing process could somehow be contained to a single page, that'd make things feel a bit better imo. As it stands having to constantly reload the site and go to new pages to buy items is the crux of the pacing issue.

Ecoing wraith's post!
Im sorry to be a top bar hater 😭, but It makes no sense having It right on the Quest page! The Idea is nice tho and would work for a widget maybe, instead of something oficial? or make it optional...
biting for all strains!
lol Same problem - Quest main page, click start quest, come to NPC page, click start quest - nothing happens, click again, and again - nothing happens. I go back to main Quest page, choose a different NPC, land on NPC page, click start quest, nothing happens. Go back to main quest page and all of a sudden I have the first quest giver's items at the top - finish, next one appears, finish, and the third click's appears as well, then the one time from the 2nd NPC. The other moves went smoothly, only start of quests has a MAJOR delay. The turn in buttons act to their own liking as well. When I went back to main quest page, they wouldn't activate. On any other page inbetween, the first or more would activate, other would only activate after I had clicked the first button - ... but honestly I assume there is no correlation other than that the main quest page simply doesn't trigger the turn in buttons, the rest is lag or unnecessary processing in the back.
I'm still not a real tester of the top bar, though, without having the main shop at the top of SS - So I still do the click item/account search (takes me to legacy frame)/Shop Search (legacy frame). I'm not willing to pay 10 to 20 times more in a user shop for an item I can get at the main shop for cheap.
Ran into the starting quest but not telling me what items are needed. I clicked around and it finally registered so I completed the quest, got the rewards and now its stuck telling me I'm still on the same quest. Won't let me try and finish it again either as it's not registering I have the items.
I can't try starting another quest to see if it'll change as it was the last quest for now.
I also would like to not have to refresh the page to just be able to finish a quest.
edit: waiting out for the quest to time out fixed it. Though I had to change to another quest then back for it to clear.

My quests went smoothly and fast today, yay, with only one exception: ending the quest often (like 40% of the time?) leads to some main shop I have just bought from instead of the NPC end quest page. The complete quest button registers and ends the quest (hitting it again throws 404 error), it just loads wrong content afterwards.
I happened again. I made Sagi ans Wizard quest yesterday And today their quests hasn't refilled yet The quests only refills when I done them all. I don't know if that how it's supposed to go or not.
What do you mean, your quests have not refilled? reset? There hasn't been another reset yet. It is not regular, usually only after a few days.
Oof, I was not able to do quests for a few days and now the whole super easy system was changed to something that is even more complicated than doing quests on legacy? Thanks, I hate it -_- Especially the top bar that somehow needs to be reloaded in order to turn in items and finish the quest. And the quest page, where you can't finish the quest. And the confetti each time I try to turn the items in and it just doesn't work lol
...I wish that once you complete a quest and click the start new quest button, that it would actually start the next quest, instead of taking you back to the quest giver&;s page where you click a different start quest button.
if this is made a thing, please make it toggleable, since we've been getting glitches where quests auto start and we arent a huge fan of it, gives no breathing room especially when the site is lagging and ~5 minutes elapse into a quest you didnt click to start. there's also been times where we've needed to pause during quests, so having them start automatically is ah!
also echoing the sentiment of not enjoying the top bar widget set up, would rather just have everything on one page. we also have difficulty visually parsing the shops sometimes, since with the lag its difficult to tell when you've moved onto another item. sometimes the item that you're buying pops up as a visual cue that the page has changed and sometimes it doesn't!
I'm trying again with less in my inventory and the lag is significantly improved! I still get a small lag (maybe a few seconds here or there) compared to the legacy site, but it's totally manageable.
I did run into a bug. I haven't caught up with every post on the thread, so sorry if this exact situation has already been reported.
I completed a Sticker Resistance quest. Then it failed to complete and gave me a 404 (but I got the confetti). I went back to the quests home page, then back again to the sticker quests. The quest had completed already, and it let me start a new one. Except starting a new one gave me an odd screen: https://i.imgur.com/6cNOUy6.png
It says I started the quest in that green box, but it didn't tell me what items I needed nor did I get the quest up at the top of the page. Then I clicked to start the quest again, and it finally started. When I completed the quest, it automatically had another one started! I completed that one too, and noticed it was the 6th quest today instead of just 5. (I'm at 11 reputation for that quest despite only doing 2 days, so it should be at 10.)
It let me click 'start quest' again, even after the 6th one, so I did, but I quit the quest once it started since I was pretty sure it wasn't supposed to let me start another one. After I quit that one, the start quest button disappeared and I got the correct message for hitting my limit.
I'm not sure if the 404 error completing a quest and the unusual behavior afterwards were related, but I thought it was worth explaining the whole thing.
Well the current version is better than what I tried a few days ago. It's still slower and more tedious than what's on Subeta. I did manage to do the quests today which is an improvement on the version that felt like torture...
Oh... I though they should refill daily My bad, sorry.
Turn in buttons are still acting weirdly.
First time doing these quests in a little while, and I see the setup has changed. I'm not a fan at all of this new way. I just did one on my laptop that was tedious enough, I can't see how I'd ever be able to smoothly do this on mobile. Too many clicks. I really liked the check boxes to search for the items in user shops/official shops/vault, etc. I probably wouldn't want to ever do any quests again if they stay how they are now.
This!
I've found this new system of doing quests has too many steps instead of how it was originally with the check boxes. I'd like to suggest keeping it with the check boxes or keep it to the og sites way of doing quests. c:
