The r200 thread being merged with the regular advertising thread has me thrown for a loop. I understand why but now I'm gonna feel like an ass being like "this is cw only, don't offer me sp trades". >.<

I don't like any of these changes. This is so bad, man. Nothing's where I can find it, everything is squashed together and forced to fit in categories they shouldn't be in for the sake of being succinct, and now it's so succinct that there's gonna be tons of threads asking for different things under the same category, which makes it messier and less streamlined. I think I'm just gonna stop using the forums because initially, I thought this was a bug, not a feature, and knowing it's a feature.. I think I'm good.

This is honestly a poor attempt at cleaning the forums up. As someone who frequents the custom wearables section and the advertising/r200 section, I find the changes counterproductive. I used to be able to find my friends' cw shop threads with ease, and be able to find the r200 threads. Now, the r200 threads are being mixed with regular sp giveaway threads and regular sp shop threads, on top of pings not working properly (buysellcw not working). I can't tell if people are releasing new CWs or selling a cw design unless I get a ping for it. It took me a while to even find the usual "what did you get from the pawn shop" thread when the pawn shop opened.

(Note that I am aware of the forums being revamped, this is just the feedback I have for using the forums right this moment.)

While I appreciate change(s) every now and then, this one is kinda bad especially if i look at the r200 board (custom wearables...) - i prefer them being separated from the "normal" sp threads/shops.... now it's kind of a mess. at least that section should have some separation

I don't like the new changes. I can't find anything and CW and regular sp items are all together.

I thought the forums were bugged. Please bring back some of the commerce subforums!

I think some squishing was a good decision but there are ones that are questionable at best

Mainly I feel like the one forums area that I felt comfortable is now gone and I don't have a spot in the forums anymore.

You might be wondering what forums I'm talking about well it was called "Profiles/Graphics Discussion" and before you comment/reply with 'it still there but called "Profiles & Graphics"' that is a combined forum adding in two market places, which causes me uncomfort. I might not interact cause that is too much added stress to me I just see scenario where I try my usual to help and sellers getting annoyed and hate me for providing help for free when they would sell theirs for a price. (I already worry if the help I provide is satisfactory so the added stress I just mentioned would be too much for me :( ...)

For all other discussions that were mixed with their respective marketplaces I think that is a not great to have them together, market and discussion don't mix imo

Combining feedback and suggestions was nice though "constructive feedback" is intimidating and it means more like "suggestive feedback" then "feedback" imo if that was the goal to get rid of all feedback that was negative without suggestions or positive feedback then it works perfect but if that was not the goal I think the subforum "constructive feedback" needs to be changed

(and now to worry if this clear and such....)

I understand the need for merging to an extent but

battle as a subforum is awful and merging cw advertising and non cw advertising is just terrible.

i ended up just not posting at all for a full day instead of doing my semi-regular HA posts, purely because i couldn&;t actually find the dang things. because that main-focus site interaction that some people use the site near-exclusively for has been reduced to a subforum.

hey guess what i only just found, by the way!

those threads i was looking for have since been moved to Forum Games, a totally different subforum i've literally only looked at once in the 15 years i've had an account, in part because the non-specificity turns me away and in part because the graphic design of the forums still effectively makes subforums invisible both on legacy and kumos! apparently the 'game' element overrides the actual focal point of the thread being the avatars. so all the threads i normally post in are there now and the human avatars section of the forums has been extremely dead because those are the threads that get regular posts! so all that's left is posts advertising contests, item lists, and 'items like __' threads!

that sure was a fun three months of not using the forums- or really the site much at all, since that was the impetus for a lot of my play time- for much anything but holiday posts and non-social site interactions, the exact opposite of the intended effect of the forum squish. i sure am glad the HA games subforum, the exact thing that all of those threads are, with a title that communicated this very effectively, was deleted and had its threads shoved off into an irrelevant corner with a bunch of other vaguely-similar threads. now everything that's left is all 'high quality' content that isn't going to see many posts with any frequency, also the exact opposite of the intended effect of the forum squish.

the one thing i am legitimately glad about is that this no longer counts as a necro.

I'm in a similar boat to you. I'm a BHH restocker and used to love posting in the BHH restocks thread. It was fun to see what items the hollow was cycling through and seeing what people got. But then I literally couldn't even find it once it got moved? I think I saw it once then lost it again, and am now no longer posting in it because I think it's in some completely random area now and I struggle to locate it.

I really feel like users voices were not heard on this project. Like people were begging for advertising to be separated so giveaways, CWS, and regular shops were not just a giant cluster and it remains combined. It's hard to look through. I feel bad for users with visual impairments who now have to slug their way through literally EVERYTHING just to find like, a CW selling thread or whatever.

they absolutely haven't listened to user's voices on the subject, because this is exactly what i thought would happen (last paragraph) over a month BEFORE the forum squish was even initiated, because the removal of the holiday claim threads was ultimately going to result in the same thing as no low-stakes on-ramp threads being where they seem like they should be and no clean separation within the topics people use the site for: less activity overall. because if you do end up making a duplicate thread, it gets closed and you get redirected to some other thread to post in.

it's almost like a search option isn't a good replacement for decent organization and like a lack of activity chills people on the desire to interact! something i had figured out before the change and supposed 'adjustment period'-during which the exact same scenario of people struggling to find what they wanted and giving up happened again and again- had even played out!
