I agree about kitchen floors! And they're so hard to keep clean and that's so aggravating with dirt under the edges of the linoleum. Ugh! We have hardwood but going into the laundry room that has linoleum we have the same issue. Luckily it's in a spot where I can just throw a small mat over it. lol

- I don't mind length. I've read War and Peace 3 times and love it more each time. Talk about a wealth of information, that story has it in detail. :D

if you like lots of information, there's quite a bit of books with that in them! I mean, it's not always the most entertaining kind of reading, though...

- I like books with lots of info but I'm particular about how the info is delivered. I don't like info dumps. I like the info to be peppered through the narrative. The best example I can give is "Gardens of the Moon," The first book in the "Malazan Book of the Fallen." He, Steven Erikson, doesn't hand you any info on a silver platter but skillfully distributes the nuggets through-out the narrative for you to find. It's like he's given you an easter egg hunt for the info and it's a lot of fun to find some of that knowledge and have hat "A-Ha!!" moment. It really brings the story to life for me. :D

I can't move. Ugh! And my knees hurt, not the inside but on the outside like I skinned them. My little jerk of a dog sure has been fooling me as I found a bunch of marked spots too. Grrrrrrr! I made you an HA but still want to tune it up a bit more and make you another one or two.

- omg, the little booger. Is there anything you can use to "unmark" the spots? I seem to remember there being some kind of neutralizer spray at petco that would help with that problem. Your poor knees. You need one of those foam kneeling pads. I had one for when I scrubbed floors because it hurt my knees so much. Just think, only a few more days and then you don't have to worry about this again for another year. :) Don't worry about the HAs until your house is clean. It is nice that you thought of me, though. :D Soon I'll get to wear my tiny whale HA for Keelhauliday. 😂

I think I have knee pads somewhere!😯Didn't even think of them as it's been so long. LOL! I'm mostly done cleaning and the floors are finished. Last minute stuff Sunday and Monday. Whew! Clean until next year🤣 How are things going for you? Is the gout in check yet?

- Yay for a sparkling house! Liz is a lucky gal! :) I'm doing well, the gout is in check. It actually has been in check since my hospitalization last February. A smart doc caught it then and put me on the main gout medicine at that point and my reg doc just continued it until I saw the rheumatologist and got the definitive diagnosis. I've never been so happy in my life. That crap was wrecking everything. I wish peace and a long life to who ever made the gout medicine. ;) :D

Wow that's great news about the gout!! I'm so happy you have it in check! I didn't know they had anything that would help.😯 Yes a sparkling house is always nice! Too bad mine is only sparkling once a year. 🤣

yeah, that works better for me too, I think our taste is the same in that particular aspect. I love that kind of immersive, naturally just there world building that isn't a mini essay on how the thing works. Mostly I like it to be in character -it's okay if it's info dumpy as long as I really believe the character would explain it that way, I guess. or sometimes I like essays anyway. But usually the thing you said you like is better.

glad you found inspiration. love your current HA, the contrast of the cute expression, flowered hairstyle, and tentacle legs reminds me a lot of a character from the podcast I'm almost done listening to (final season, world about to end, all that. one character had, in season 3 or 4, her legs turned into a bunch of tentacles. your HA looks kinda like her in my mind!) ❤

- I had no idea what they could do for it either but apparently there a few things to chose from in that area. It makes me happy. :) I'm glad your house is sparkling. Now, for the visit. XD XD

which book? or did you mean the podcast (it was a book series, sort of, before it was a podcast, but I'm not sure the later parts came out in book form or only in podcast form, I do have book 1 and 2 of the original series, there's a few changes from it to the podcast but not many)

at some point in life I might try again with the Mazalan series. I did try to read it a couple of times, once probably around y2k when the second book was just out, I think, and once maybe 8 or 9 years ago when I had a friend who was really into it. But for whatever reason I didn't feel like reading very far into it.

- It's a little disjointed at first but started coming together as I read through the books. The 10th book was amazing as it pulled all the disparate pieces together and gave you one hell of an "Aha!" moment. But, it does require a bit of work before that. 😂

I have no clue what I meant. Yesterday was rough and I might have been brain dead. LOL! Was Liz's yearly assessment and it's always so draining.

Like helping her get into the bathtub or holding her arm going up and down stairs. I do hold her arm in parking lots so that might be enough. They ask me the questions and type in my answers into an app and it gives out the score that is what my hourly pay is based on. Even though I've been told the app they use is very outdated. And I am old and she asked me how many more years do I think I have left of caring for Liz. 😯I told her 11. (I'll then be 80) Needless to say , it was not a fun day! Anyway, I'm moving on and trying to remain positive. 😊

yeah - read 10 books is too much to ask for to get to one great moment, I guess, for me anyway. I know it works for many people. and it's a popular series, it's possible I'll find out I like it at some point, just, hasn't happened yet despite trying. but there's always more to read, so I'll be fine!
