It's hot here too! I'm near Seattle and it's been high 70's and a few days ago in the 80's. Plus, we have smoke from the surrounding forest fires. Ughhhhh! We have a store here that I love called Trader Joe's and they're big into pumpkin flavored everything so that helps me get into the Fall mood.

- I totally missed your message last time I posted. :( Sorry! I'm doing well. Just had my last set of bloodwork done for my rheumotologist. - I completely agree. I find some of the best books and series like that. For example, a friend in another group recommended "The Dresden Files" book series to me. I was wary because I saw the tv show and it stunk. I gave it a go, though and it turned out to be one of my favorite series of all time. :D

I already do that and seriously somehow I don't really see dirt and grime anymore. I'm not sure if I actually don't see it or if my brain just refuses to acknowledge it. 🤪

we really do have different taste. I liked that TV series more than I liked the books! (TV show was fine if not great, books were promising but disappointing and then annoying) Yet still we can help each other. A microcosm of life in its better half.

The forest fires are on and off around here too. Though honestly, I'd take forest fires over the stank of burning oil and other nastiness from that boat fire that happened a few months ago any day; acrid and simply awful. We also have Trader Joes around here! I don't go there much but tbh I don't get out much at all. Just get my pumpkin spice coffee fix at Wawa or a Starbucks. Which reminds me that I really should try to find pumpkin spice syrup to add to my coffees at home since I have a little cheapie espresso machine.

you might be able to find that pumpkin spice syrup AT trader joe's? or at least pumpkin spice flavor coffee.

I'm unfortunately spoiled on some modestly expensive fresh ground stuff from a local roastery, but I was gonna spring for some bottles of Torani pumpkin sauce off of amazon. As much as I like the cost efficiency of a bulk bottle, I don't make THAT MUCH coffee to warrant it lol. Especially given I'm the only person in the house who would even use it too.

Oh, I had an idea just now of a fall thing that sounds good if they have something like it, pumpkin cream cheese spread. Lol I googled and one of the first things to pop up was from Trader Joe's. A sweet pumpkin cream cheese bagel would be awesome 😋

Ewwww I'm sure a boat fire smells a lot worse than a forest fire. Either way not good for the sinuses. Trader Joe's has tons of pumpkin flavored items right now. And probably the pumpkin cream cheese too. But for the pumpkin syrup for your coffee, if you have a Marshalls, TJ Maxx or a Ross they would have the pumpkin syrup and maybe cheaper than Amazon. My daughter and I drink a lot of tea with syrup and I already have 3 bottles of pumpkin syrup. We'll be using some soon! 🎃

oh that sounds delicious! I used to love bagels. (Haven't been able to eat them in like twenty years but they were very good with cream cheese, especially flavored ones)

- I still remember that one book we read at the same time, although right now, I can't remember the title. It was something like "Post Mortem" or "Liver Mortise?" I loved the whole thing but the ending confused me. You quickly set me on the right path with that and my understanding blossomed. Sometimes I wish you could do that with more of my books. I'm sure thast if you'd read it, you would have helped me understand the ending of the Brandon Sanderson I read earlier that upset me to no end. XD XD

These days it's a lot easier to ignore a lot of stuff. Last week I got down on my hands and knees and punished my husband's bathroom floor and I could hardly walk the next day. Payback I guess!! LOL!

- Yes, that's the one. I'm thinking of re-reading it to see if it's more clear after your explanation. I don't blame you for Sanderson. Right now he's annoying me also. I'm reading a compendium of his short stories and it's given me a whole new view on a different series of his that I read a while ago. :/

Gah I still have the kitchen floor to scrub. Hubs has an electric/steam mop thing that's fine for all of the floors but the kitchen floor needs a deeper clean. And he's cleaning the carpet on the stairs and the landing as that's where the dog likes to pee. We never catch him but we know he's doing it as we can sometimes smell it. So gross! If you never hear from me again...🤣

kitchen floors are so hard to keep clean! mine has dirt around the edges that has somehow got under the linoleum. ugh

it's so long, to reread. but if you think you'd enjoy it, why not. I reread things sometimes, especially when I'm in a bad mood, because I know I'll enjoy them where the new thing I never know for sure.
